Earth: Year 3205
Northern academy/Aircraft to the Military AcademySenior Pool:
Seeing them in different uniforms, in newer uniforms, is truly a sight for sore and tired eyes. I’m proud to see them continue their progress not only becoming stronger Elementals, but also becoming stronger individuals. The conversation with Blaze was an eye-opening and tough conversation to have. I had to suppress everything I knew when speaking with her, but at the same time I was relieved to hear that both she and Breeze are awake and aware of their surroundings. Knowing that leaving this place and going to the Military Academy is somewhat of a death-trap for me, I will leave knowing that they are not unequipped to see through the masks of the people trying to influence them.On the aircraft, they have their own quarters as well as Rain and Ember. The four of them have their own secluded area for the entire trip. They also have a main area that the four of them will have to share. If my guess is correct though, I doubt that they’ll be spending much of their time together after the session they’ve just had. They’ll stick to living wall-to-wall for the entire trip if I’m not too outdated on that front. After all the most logical point for all of them is to recover as much as possible from their sessions. The moment they step off this aircraft, they will be glad that they have.
Following my own days at the Military Academy, I don’t have that many possessions that I treasure to death. Most of them are boring and rather usual possessions that a Senior Elemental is both allowed and supposed to have. My quarters is in an area secluded to Breeze and Blaze, but not to Grand Master Vulcano and his friend Master Elemental Storm. It’ll give them both a chance to have a go at me…verbally that is. And believe me when I say, it won’t be that official nonsense that we’ve all held in front of the Super-Senior and the other Seniors in the Academy. No, these will be the true words that we speak to each other under the surface.
I put my things next to the bed and sit down on the bed and close my eyes for a little while. Brother Pool, how is the preparation going? I’m someone stumped by the question. It’s not the voice itself, I recognize it, but rather its appearance considering where I am. This is not the place or time… I let out as I know my brother will sense this. He’s one of the most powerful Elementals alive and he’s the best interceptor I know of. There will be no other time, Brother Pool. Our master has had visions of the future. You have even less time than you let us know of. Are they prepared? Are your students prepared? The voice pushes on as I open my eyes immediately.
I’m not shocked to hear it really. I’ve been walking around with that feeling as well as being given hints to it by none other than my own brother. They’re getting there, both of them, but they’re not ready. They still need to hear the full story, the truth! I answer after going back into my thought-mode, closing my eyes. And they will, Brother Pool, but you have to face the idea that they might not hear it from you. Chances are it will come from one of us…or even our own master. The voice goes on. Before I can answer, I hear footsteps outside the door. I’ll get back to you when I can. I let out before the door opens from the outside and Vulcano himself stands at the door.
“Brother, I was sure to find you here meditating as usual. Any chance you have time to step out of it for a little moment?” He asks, trying to sound polite, but it really doesn’t suit him well. It’s more of a command than a request I figure as I get up from the bed and walk past him in the doorway. “Brother…” I say, almost tasting the word for a moment before I turn around to face him still standing there. “…it’s been many years since you’ve said that to me face to face.” I let out. “And that is truly a shame, it really is. How about we grab a bite of something? I’m sure there’s something there that you like.” He says as he gestures towards the table of food. I sigh deeply to myself as I grab a bit of something before pouring a drink for myself.
