I am Destruction || Bakugo x reader (kinda)

I squeezed my eyes shut bracing myself for the explosion, but instead of being engulfed by that sudden destructive heat but instead a breeze of intense cold wrapped around me.

Opening my eyes, I see ice. A lot of it.

"Guess you did need some help," came a cool tone, I looked up to see Todoroki, "sorry about stealing your thunder, Destruction."

"No problem, thanks," I nodded to him as I jumped as far as I could away from Shrapnel's frozen body.

"Damn Icy Hot," Katsuki walked over, knocking on the ice, "perfect timing but I think you went a lot over the top..."

"Shoto Todoroki to the save!" Kaminari cried out as he and Sero both let out sighs of relief.

"We thought you were a gonner there, y/n," Sero sighed.

"I think I just lost ten years off my life," Kirishima said as he looked at the ice.

"Are you ok, y/n?" Mina and Ochako ran over to me.

"Yeah," I nodded, "Todoroki, I owe you big time."

He looked at me and waved me off.

"Don't worry about it," he told me.

"How're you even here?" Katsuki asked as he inspected me for injuries.

"Midoriya sent me a very confusing text," Todoroki replied, "I was nearby with Aizawa and Iida so we came to check out what was going on. When we got here we were bombarded by the press so we knew something was wrong. Iida and Aizawa are holding back the press and I came in to see what was happening. I was surprised to see y/n almost being blown up by this... skeleton man?"

"He's Shrapnel," I told him before a bunch of police ran over to us with one of the quirk sealing capsules, Todoroki thawed the ice and Shrapnel let out a loud gasp before being seized by the police and pushed into the capsule.

"Shrapnel? You mean the villain you guys had so much trouble with before?" he asked, I nodded, he turned to Midoriya, "why didn't you just 'smash' him away like you usually do with the villains."

"Because there were bombs everywhere and my quirk could've set them off," Midoriya sighed, "I mean-- he still set a lot of them off but it doesn't change the fact that if we were reckless, it could've gotten a lot worse."

His gaze landed on the crater. Todoroki turned to it as well before shaking his head.

"Well. It looks like you lot have been making a lot of trouble today," a familiar voice accompanied by arm chopping motions that sliced through the air appeared near us.

"Iida!" Ochaco and Midoriya both ran over to the armoured male.

"Even now, you all attract trouble like you're a magnet," Aizawa walked out from behind him, "why am I not surprised?"

"Oh don't give us that, Aizawa," Kirishima chuckled.

"Anyway," I stretched, "I think I've had about enough excitement for one day. Even on our days off we end up working, oh life is just so unfair."

"Alright, who's doing the paperwork?" Katsuki asked, we all looked around before looking at Kaminari.

"I mean-- Sharpnel was Kaminari's problem to begin with at the beginning of all of this, it just took us a year to take him down," Sero shrugged.

"Just throw me under the bus, why don't you?!" Kaminari whined, "come on, guys~ I thought we were friends! Why can't we all do the work together? This isn't fair~"

"You can figure that out later," Aizawa let out an exasperated sigh, "you guys need to go to the hospital and get yourselves checked up, especially you two."

He grabbed Kaminari's and Sero's ears before pulling them away, the two shouting out complaints as they were dragged away.

"Are you ok, y/n?" Katsuki asked, looking at me from the corner of his eyes.

"It might be best for me to get checked, you two Kirishima," I looked at the red head, "we did almost get crushed by a rollercoaster."

"Fair enough," Kirishima nodded.

"How about you?" I looked to Katsuki.

"I don't need any treatment, I'll have a couple bruises but that's about it," he told me, "but I'll go with you to the hospital. Come on."

I nodded.

"I think I need a nap," I laughed as we began walking away from the disaster site behind us.

"I think our next day off should be a stay in the house day," Katsuki said as he intertwined our fingers together and we walked through the mess of police and towards the entrance of the park.

I let out a small laugh.

"Sounds perfect," I agreed, "but we don't have another day off until next month."

"Damn it," Katsuki growled, "we need a fucking holiday."

"I think I'll pass, knowing us we'll end up fighting some villain again because we seem to attract that kind of attention," I laughed again, Katsuki glared a the floor annoyed and I smiled before kissing his cheek, "don't worry. We can go somewhere for Christmas."

"Somewhere far away from people," he huffed, "then we'll definitely not have to deal with some dumb villain."

"Sounds like you're getting sick of our job," I commented.

"I'm getting sick of being interrupted on my day off," he retorted, "is it so hard to just have a day with my wife alone? Without being interrupted. It's pissing me off."

"When aren't you pissed off?" I chuckled.

"Destruction! Destruction! It's Destruction and Ground Zero!"

"But first we've got to deal with this pain in the ass," I whispered as I gestured to the press that bombarded us as soon as we stepped through the exit of the park.

"Another stupid interruption. They're like flies buzzing everywhere," he growled lowly.

"Don't be rude, Kat," I patted his shoulder, "come on. Let's go."

Thank god all of that is over.

A month later_

Loud knocking woke me and Katsuki up.

"Katsuki," I called.

"I'm going," he growled before getting up, "I'm going to destroy whoever is on the other side of that door."

"Mhm. Be gentle with them, Kat," I grumbled back as he left the room.

Next think I hear is the door opening.

"Hey! Bakubro!" Kirishima.

"We all have the day off!" Kaminari.

"Let's go out!" Mina.

"All of you go to hell!" Katsuki roared, loud explosions sparking from his hands.

It's our day off. Just let us sleep.

Don't want a repetition of last month.
