'Hey.. everything alright?'
I turn around to meet Gray.
'I feel like shit honestly,' I reply.
'I got your keys, wallet, watch, telephone and everything else here should I just bring it to your room?'
'You call that a room?'
'It's not that bad, just small.'I get put of guard by the woman who still tends to scream and it makes shivers go down my spine.
'You sure you're alright?' He tries.
'I didn't say I was alright in the first place.' 'Maybe I should tell Levi to come and cuddle you to death.'
'He won't.. not at work.'
'At the moment you're his work.'
'Stop it!' I groan
'No seriously.. he'll try everything to make you better I'm sure.''
He'll try everything.
That's exactly what he did, he used ever antidote he had on me in the last couple of weeks.
I was only getting worse and worse.
All I could do was sleep or lay in a bed at this point. At first I used to walk around, sit everywhere to the point Levi literally needed to search for me.
It felt like home. Now it feels like a prison.
'Goodmorning love.' 'N.. no please.'
'Great to see you as well.'
'I can't.. I c.. can't take.. it anymore.'He caresses my cheek.
'Don't worry, later today. First you got to take a bath, put on some fresh clothes.' 'I can't.' 'I will help you.'
'I can't,' I repeat.
'I've seen you naked before.'
'That isn't it I.. I don't trust bathtubs anymore,' I explain.
'I'm not like your dad.'
'I don't want to.. drown.'He sighs as he helps me sit up straight.
'I'll be in there with you, I promise I won't let you drown.. it will be impossible to drown.'
'You'll get distracted,' I mumble.
'So.. that would distract you from thinking about your sickness.'
'I don't..' 'Shh.. we'll get in there, get you cleaned and get you back in bed.''
As soon as my body hits the water I feel relaxed and can almost hear the sizzling sound coming from my body.
I throw my head back, close my eyes and slump down even more.
A hand goes through my messy hair and soon it lands on my cheek making me lean against his touch.
'Feels great doesn't it.' 'Yeah..'
'I'll join you in a second.'
'J..join me?' I repeat.
'I literally said I was going to be in there with you.'
'I thought just to help me from.. the other side.'
'I've been so focused on getting you better I forgot to shower myself, I need this just as bad as you do.'
'Okay then..'I turn my head to see the guy taking of his clothes. My eyes fall on his chest and before I know it something that I didn't want to ask at loud leaves my mouth.
'Did you get more buff?'
He focuses on me, takes a few steps forward and moves down.
'No,' he whispers into my ear before continuing what he was doing, 'I might actually have become less.'
'Sorry I.. I didn't know why I asked that aloud.' 'Side effects.'He sits down in the tub on the opposite side.
'This does feel nice,' he mumbles.
'I was meant to ask you something and.. I want to ask before my voice gives up,' I mention after a while.
'Go ahead.' 'Why is my old therapist locked up in here?'
'How do you..' 'Gray took me to her before we got out of prison.'
'That's so fucking stupid of him!'
'Levi.. he didn't know.''Why is she here?' I repeat to break the silence.
'I told you I would take care of her.'
'She's infected as well right?' 'Yes.'
'Will I start screaming like her?'
'Only if you have open wounds.'
'Why do you.. do what you do?'
'Beating her up?' He replies.
'Yeah.' 'It's quite relaxing believe it or not. It calms me down.'I slump down just a bit more basically laying down now.
'So if you're tense, angry or something like that I should let you beat me up?'
'No Calum,' He sits up and grabs my hand, 'That's not how it works.. I don't hate you.' 'That's a first.'
'Darling, you're lovely, don't worry so much about what people think and I know that you grew up this way, but please.. don't worry, not anymore.'
'Did you infect me on purpose so you could see me all the time?'His eyes widen and he makes his way over to me, forcing me to sit up so he can sit down on his knees between my spread out legs.
'Of course not.. darling why,' he takes a hold of both my hands, 'why do you think I would do something like that to you.'
'I don't know.. it's something you would do. I mean.. how else did I get it?' I explain.
'Not on purpose! Calum I would never let you deal with something this aggressive, it pains me to see you hurt I.. I don't know how you got it, you just.. have it.'
'Levi,' I grab his hand, 'Accept it.'He turns his head sideways like he's a dog.
'I'm not going to make it.'
'No Calum, I swear I..'
'Levi, you tried everything so far I.. I don't want to die while being locked up in here, because you can't give up.'
'Calum..' 'I can't take it anymore.'
'Love, I have one last antidote and it works, well on the newest type.
After you took it I'll.. take you somewhere else.. in case you don't make it.'I take a deep breath as my eyes finally focus on the guy in front of me again.
'You look cute on your knees.'
'Calum, I'm not cute.' 'Whatever.'
