"Seventeen," the blonde android's tone was laced with a warning. She didn't even look at her brother when he walked into their log cabin, keeping her face buried in the magazine she was reading. She didn't need to look at him to know his long overcoat would once again be bulkier than usual.
"Oh, hey sis," if 17's poor acting did not give him away, the nervous grin he had plastered on his face did.
"Seventeen," 18 accused as she slapped her magazine down on a table and stood to face her twin.
"What?" He shrugged and smiled even wider after she crossed her arms. As if on cue, a squirrel poked its head out of the front of his jacket. Then a cluster of rodents spilled from the coat and scurried across the wooden living room floor.
"Seventeen!" Her exasperation switch was officially flipped. 17's lip quivered before he answered.
"Theeeey neeeeeed meeeee," he whined. His twin sighed and dragged a hand down her face. This was the third time this month that he had brought dirty, wild animals home. And they had a specific destination each time they entered the house.
"Okay," 18 explained while massaging her temples, not bothering to watch the critters make a break for the fridge, "I'm gonna have to go to the market. AGAIN. And when I get back you'd better have all these rodents out."
"Fine," 17 groaned while pouting. Then he trudged into the kitchen to catch the woodland creatures, ignoring the, "and stop bringing them into the house!" with the door slam that followed.

18 shook her head as she flew to the market. As happy as she was to find him after the nightmare with Cell, 17 could still be such a child. He hijacked cars and ended up chased by the cops even though he could fly, he pulled petty and annoying pranks on her when she was trying to sleep (like pretending to cut her hair and nearly getting himself killed by her in the process), and exacted inane plans to acquire a pet. 18 admittedly wouldn't mind just one, but he always had to bring home an entire forest and then they always ended up ransacking their food. She considered picking up some animal and sibling repellent while she was out.The cyborg landed a few feet away from the parking lot; it wasn't a good idea to let the humans see her flying. Humans with no idea the mortal danger their planet has been in countless times. Humans who could never dream of having the strength to defend themselves from it. Humans who had normal, ignorantly blissful lives to get back to. 18 sighed wistfully.
Fortunately, she didn't have much on her item list besides more groceries. It contained shampoo, conditioner, more magazines and novels, and- a rather familiar looking man with black hair? He was further down the aisle and had his back to her. He wasn't much taller than shopping cart he was pushing. She watched as he suddenly halted and shook his head. The small man looked annoyed, as if he had forgotten something, when he turned the cart around.
Then Krillin froze like a student caught cheating when he finally noticed her. 18 almost hadn't recognized him with his new head of hair and prominently skinnier frame. They stared at each other for a moment.
Then he bolted, leaving his cart where it was.
"Hey, wait," she dropped her items and took off after him. For such a little guy he sure was fast, and his height made it easier for him to weave through the crowd. However, the android's path could easily be followed by the string of items and people being knocked into the air, like the poor old lady, for example.
He reached the exit with just enough time to make himself scarce before 18 burst through the doors. She did one last confused 360, then went back into the market to finish her shopping. The little guy she chased watched her, peering from over the roof, and released a breath of relief.
