Inseparable

After everything that happened tonight, I told Nik I wanted to walk back to the Salvatore house to get my things. I hear Tyler's voice coming from Caroline's house. "I got it." He turned and she went inside.

"Everything okay?" He looks up from the sidewalk. "Hey, Kara. Yeah, I'm good." I look at him for him to fess up. "I know you aren't Tyler." He smiles at me. "Am I that readable?" I laugh and shake my head. "No, but you men don't do a swell job at hiding emotions."

We both walk next to each other. "So I've been meaning to talk to you." I look at him. "About?" He looks at me like I'm supposed to know what he's talking about. "Our almost kiss.." I stop walking and close my eyes. "If you're going to tell me that you made a mistake, don't worry about it." I feel him in front of me and he grabs my hands.

"Not what I'm going to say at all. Can you open your eyes, please?" I open them at look at him. "I don't regret trying to kiss you. Yes I was with Caroline but because of purposes you know, we've been rocky since the day you crashed out senior prank night. I was blown away by your beauty. You understand me in a way that no one ever has. So, what I'm hoping for actually, can we try an us?"

I smile at him. "What about my brother?" He shakes his head. "Let's not worry about him tonight." I nod and lean in to kiss him. He meets me halfway and grabs my waist. My hands go up to his head. I feel my phone ringing and I step back.

"My phone is ringing." He pulls me back in. "Let it ring." I laugh but kiss him back. "I have to get my stuff from the Salvatore's." He sighs but nods. "Meet me at mine when you're done."

I nod and smile at him. He kisses me again then speeds off. I speed to the Salvatore's and go up through the window in my room. I grab my things and leave. I make it to Tyler's window and knock.

He sees me and opens the window. "Go change in my restroom, then we can sleep. It's been a long day." I nod and change into pajamas. I see Tyler laying on the bed under the covers. He smiles when he sees me and opens the blanket.

"Come in." I giggle and climb in. I lay my head on his chest while his arm goes to my waist. "Goodnight, Tyler." He kisses my forehead. "Goodnight, Kara."

I wake up and look up at Tyler. He's still sleeping so I decide to trace shapes on his chest. I feel him move and kiss my head. "Good morning." I look up and kiss him. I pull back and he groans. "Good morning. I need to call my brother and Jeremy keeps texting you." I grab my phone and head to the restroom to call Nik.

You do know that I called you multiple times last night?

Yes, Nik. I'm aware. What happened?

Well, little sister. Stefan stole the coffins....

Are you kidding me! I will murder him in the most horrible way possible. We were so close to a family reunion.

I know, I know. But I need your help. And where were you last night.

Of course I'll help you. And I was with Tyler..

My hybrid. Wow, little sister. For your first boyfriend. A wolf, who would've thought.

I change into my outfit for the day and walk out. "So you want to go shooting with me and Jeremy while drinking?" I laugh as he pulls me in for a hug. "Sure, but after Nik needs my help." He lets me go and we drive to the woods.

I see Jeremy and get out. "Tyler and...Kara." I smile and wave. "We're talking. Yes, her brother killed your sister but she's different." I laugh at Tyler's explanation. "I'm Kara." I reach my hand out and Jeremy gets what I'm trying to do. "I'm Jeremy." And he shakes my hand.

We set up cans and Jeremy shoots one with a crossbow. "Nice shot!" Jeremy looks at Tyler. "So what's the point of this again?" I laugh a little too loud at Jeremy's confusion.

Tyler smiles at me then looks at Jeremy. "The point is I'm pissed at Caroline and we broke up, also Bonnie dumped your ass. The point is to get drunk and shoot stuff."

I sit on the log next to Tyler. "Profound. Alaric finds out I took this he is gonna use it on me." Jeremy reloads the crossbow while I stare at the bows in amazement.

Tyler gets up and goes to stand in front of the cans. "So what's the deal with that? He is like your guardian now?" I tune out the conversation as I feel a vision come into my mind.

Kol's on fire and I see Elena.

I gasp and I feel my phone vibrate.

Need you to meet me at the grill, sister.

I stand up and look at both of them. "As fun as this has been. I have to meet my brother at the grill. Jeremy I'm glad you somewhat like me now." I smile at him and walk over to Tyler. "I'll see you later."

I kiss him and turn away. I speed to the Grill and I see Nik at the door. "Let's interrupt whatever is going on with Elena and her Salvatore of the week." He laughs at me and offers me his arm. "We'll talk about Tyler and you later."

He winks at me but we both put our game faces on. "Don't mind us." Damon and Elena look at us. "You gonna do this in the Grill? In front of everyone? It's a little beneath you, don't you think? And bringing Kara along, really?"

Damon says and I roll my eyes. "I don't know what you are talking about. I just came down to my local pub to grab a drink with a mate and my sister."  I look at Elena and smirk.

"Get a round in, would you Tony?" She looks shocked. "I'm going to help Tony, Nik." I walk over and get the things we ordered. I grab a bag while Tony gets the other. "Ha. Well this is me broadening the scope, sweetheart." We walk away from them.
