Winter break was over it was now 3 days into the new semester. Landry came into the gym to see Bucky standing in the middle of the gym. She walked over to him he looked up when he heard her heels.

"Well don't you look beautiful today." He said with a forced smile.

"What's wrong?" She said as she saw the smack mark on his face.

"Delaney smacked me." He said

"I can see that. What did you do?" She said

"I ended things." He said

"Why?" She said

"It was getting to serious. She was starting to leave things at my place and calling it home. I'm not ready for all that yet." He said

"Buck you are two months shy of your 30th birthday." She said

"So.." he said as they started to go up to his office.

When they got inside he was leaning against his desk and held her waist.

"So I was thinking that maybe my new best friend could come over. She hasn't been over in awhile we could have a movie night cuddle on the couch by the fire and eat pizza." He said

"Hmm..well I guess I could come by tonight." She said

"Not just come by stay the night." He said

She rolled her eyes. "Fine.." she said

He kissed her forehead. "You do look beautiful today." He said

"Thanks." She said

"Welcome." He said

The bell rang. "You got your office speaker fixed." She said

"I did. After what happened with you I got it fixed." He said

She let out a laugh. "At least it was me and not a student." She said

"Yeah." He said as he let her go.

"I will see you during 4th this semester." She said as she left.

After she left he looked up his office ceiling. "Help me God. What am I suppose to do? How do you want me to make this right? A sign would be nice." He said

He went down to the gym to start his gym class full of new sophomores. He thought to himself

"God I do need help. I keep talking to my ceilings. Not having NFL now sucks cause now I'm talking to myself I'm losing it."

He blew his whistle when he got down to the bleachers. Once they all settled down he began roll call.

That night after some pizza and wings they were laying on his couch in living room. He covered them up once he got the fire place going. Netflix was coming up on the tv she took the remote from him.

"You are being quiet." She said as she looked up at him.

"Some of the football players came by my office today. They were wondering if we could have a super bowl party next month." He said

She looked at him confused. "Oh good lord woman what am I going to do with you. The super bowl is like the end of the whole season game. Two teams have to win the playoffs till they are the last two standing then they play each other. Who ever wins is the super bowl champs. It's a big deal in the NFL..Sam could tell by the look on my face that I wasn't to keen on the idea so he told them we would think about it." He said

"Oh..so it's a pro ball game. Is your team one of the teams?" She said

"We won't know till the end of playoff season." He said

"Buck. I know how much it hurt you to be fired from the league. But you need to remember that here in Rosemont you are these boys heroes. You don't know how many times I've had papers come across my desk when I assign a paper about who their hero's are. I can always tell when it's a football player Buck cause it's always you. They look up to you Buck." She said

He looked down. "All they seem to want is to watch the big game with you. It's not about you Bucky it's about them you need to Bremen that." She said

"You are right. I will think about it." He said as he started the movie.

"But you have to come to the party I decide yes." He said

"What? No! I don't know anything about how the game." She said

"Oh my god woman. Get up." He said as he turned off the movie.

"Where are we going?" She said as he threw her over his shoulder.

"Downstairs. You are going to learn about football darlin. It's my turn to tutor you my sweet darlin." He said as they went down his basement stairs.

When he turned on the light she looked around his basement. "Good lord how many TVs do you need down here." She said when she saw three TVs mounted to the wall.

"Shut up." He said as he put in one of his game' tapes from when he played for the Giants.

He pulled her into his lap as they sat on the couch. The game tape began to play and began to explain it to her. But all she could focus on was him.

He was fast and had a incredible throwing arm. Her heart broke by the third game they watched he was good and she saw the excitement on his face. He missed playing because it gave him a since of belonging.

She pauses the tape. "Buck can I ask you something?" She said

"Sure." He said

"When you played was it because you loved to play or was it because you found a place where you could be yourself?" She said

"How did you know that?" He said

"You always talk about how you didn't want to here or how you didn't want to be like your family?" She said

"I just always felt like I destined to do something great." He said

"Don't you think that maybe you could still do something great as a football coach? I mean I've watched you for the last three hours you light up when you are talking. And yeah you are amazing but maybe being here is where you are suppose to be." She said

He bit his lip. "Landry all I wanted was to get out of here. I wanted more then be the mechanic's son." He said

"And you are Buck. You are a gym teacher that seems to be popular with the sophomores I have in my class." She said

He smirked. "And your team made it to the second round of playoffs so that means you are a great couch." She said

"Yeah." He said

"In the words of you. Don't be so hard on yourself Buck." She said as she cupped his cheeks.

He smirked at her. "Let's go back upstairs." She said

"Okay." He said as he turned off the tv.
