0:00 ⊙━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1:25you sent me this on my birthday, once. i'll read it to you.
start of quote. 'when he looked into her eyes, he learned the most important part of the language that all the world spoke — the language that everyone on earth was capable of understanding in their heart. it was love. something older than humanity, more ancient than the desert.'
it's late when you call him again. he knows you have trouble sleeping sometimes, and can only imagine how difficult it is now. he remembers the way you'd cling to him in your sleep and how your features you relax once taking a hold of his shirt, almost as if your subconscious was reminding itself that he was still there. neither of you spoke about it, but he appreciated it more than he let on.
he wished he could tell you that it's the same for him, too.
'what the boy felt at that moment was that he was in the presence of the only woman in his life, and that, with no need for words, she recognized the same thing. because when you know the language, it's easy to understand that someone in the world awaits you, whether it's in the middle of the desert or in some great city. and when two such people encounter each other, the past and the future become unimportant.'
he knows how this quote will end. it's from paulo coehlo's the alchemist, a book that had intrigued him so much that you'd demanded to read it as well. and so, being the stubborn person you are, you read it, and thus began the late night discussions.
'there is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. without such love, one's dreams would have no meaning.' end of quote.
sounds a lot like my soulmate theory, yeah? twin souls and stardust and.. and love.
i know you want to hear me say that i love you.
he does. it's more than a want, it's a need. it's only been about two weeks or so without any form of physical contact with you, save for the library encounter, and it's driving him insane. he needs to know you'll still be there even when he fucks up egregiously, because it's you. it's always been you.
i can feel your stares during class, too. please.. stop. i try very hard not to cry as much as i normally do, and it's not helping.
.. sorry. that was harsh. i just don't know what you want me to do. i don't even know what to do. like, i— i'm heartbroken? but i.. i miss you. i miss you a lot. but i also don't think i would be able to handle being near you. think the time in the library proved that a lot.
thank you for leaving the book behind, by the way. you didn't have to, but you did. i appreciate it a lot.
i'm going to sleep, now, so.. good night. sweet dreams, tetsu.
he smiles faintly and runs a hand through his hair.
you didn't hesitate over the nickname.FOURTH RECORDING
