Type sat next to the pool, kicking his feet in the water. Most of the kids had gone home and Tharn's parents were cleaning up. He had tried to help but they demanded he not. So, instead, he say by the pool, waiting for Tharn, who had helped clean up as well.
They hadn't really been able to speak about their kiss since it happened, or talk about anything at all for that matter. They had both been consumed with making sure Thanya had a good birthday.
Type jumped slightly when he felt a hand lay itself over his shoulder. He looked up and smiled softly as Tharn smiled down at him.
"Are you ready for me to take you home?" Tharn questioned. He took Type's hand and helped him stand to his feet, holding onto it for a few seconds longer than needed before dropping it.
"It's late. I can get a taxi." Type told him.
Tharn chuckled softly. "That's more of a reason for me to take you home. Anything could happen to you if I let you take a taxi. Plus, I want to." He admitted.
Type smiled softly and nodded. "Okay then. I'll just say goodbye and then he can get going."
The drive to Type's apartment consisted of no talking. Music played lowly from the radio, filling up the silent atmosphere around the two men.
The closer they got to his apartment, Type felt his heart beat quicker and quicker and the more he thought about their kiss. He could still feel Tharn's lips burning against his.
When they finally pulled into the parking lot, Tharn parked the car near the front and turned it off. Now, everything truly was silent.
They both stared out the windshield, at the brick wall in front of them until Tharn cleared his throat and spoke up first. "Did you have a good time?"
Type chuckled softly and looked down at his fidgeting hands. "I had a great time, actually."
"Good." Tharn nodded. "Can I be honest with you again?" Type swallowed hard and nodded. "I like you."
Type chuckled again. "I would hope so. You don't really kiss someone like that unless you do."
Tharn nodded with a smile. "Yeah." He let out a sigh and looked at the window. "It's just I don't know how to talk to you or act around you. I've never liked someone really. Once, but it was a long time ago. I've always been to absorbed in my music to worry about things like that. And I don't want to do something or say something that makes you feel the same way you felt when you were with Sam." He told him honestly.
Type reached over with a shaky hand and took Tharn's. He pulled in across the console and held it tightly, rubbing his thumb across the back of it. "I don't think there's anything you could do that would make me feel that way. You're not anything like him" He shook his head. "And you make me nervous too."
Tharn turned to him and smirked. "I know. You told me." Type slapped his lightly on the arm, causing him to laugh. "Okay. Sorry." He held his free hand up as if in surrender. He sat back in his seat and smiled as he rolled his eyes. "I guess Eve was right."
Type looked at him with wide eyes. "She talked to you too?"
"Yeah. She talked to you?" Type nodded. Tharn let out a breathy chuckle and shook his head. "She is something else."
"She's a good friend, though."
"Yeah. She is a really good friend. The only one I have, actually."
"What about me?"
"Well," Tharn smiled. "You see, I was kind of hoping that you'll be more than a friend." He watched Type's face turn red as he dropped his smile a bit. "Not right now, of course. There's still things we need to do. We should start with a da-"
Type let go of Tharn's hand and grabbed him by the sides of his head, pulling his face toward him quickly. He planted his lips against Tharn, making him go silent. Tharn's hand rested on Type's leg so he could steady himself as he was pulled halfway across the console.
Type wrapped an arm around Tharn's neck and kissed him harder and he opened his mouth to give Tharn access. Tharn felt the air leaving his lungs through his mouth, so he switched to breathing through his nose. He wasn't ready to end the kiss just yet.
Tharn moved his hand slowly up Type's leg, which made him jerk away slightly Tharn stopped his hand immediately. "S-sorry."
Type shook his head. "It's okay. I-I just,"
Tharn shook his head. "You don't need to explain."
Type sighed and laid his head down on Tharn's shoulder. "I've never done that."
"Well, I wouldn't be opposed to it if you wanted to do it again."
Type chuckled and sat up. "How can you act like this but tell me you're nervous?"
Tharn grabbed Type's hand and placed it over his heart. It beat quickly under his hand. "I liked it when you did that, but just having you close makes my heart beat quickly." His voice was low and made shivers run down Type's spine.
He pulled back slowly and sat back down in his seat correctly. "Well, I-I should probably get inside."
Tharn nodded. "I think you should to. Why don't you call me tomorrow morning. I'll pick you up for classes."
Type nodded with a small smile. "Okay. I'll see you tomorrow then."
He exited the car and waved at him as he walked toward the doors. Tharn waited until he had gone inside all of the way before he started the car and pulled out of the parking lot to head home.
He found himself smiling the entire way home. He felt his heart going a mile a minute, and he could still feel Type's lips against his.
He laughed loudly and turned the music louder as he drove.

I apologize for not updating sooner. I had a busy weekend and I messed up my shoulder, so I've been kind of lazy.
