A blonde, stunning man sat inside his chariot, holding the reign of his horses tightly. The man had beautiful golden hair, soft sky blue eyes, slightly tanned skin. He was wearing a graceful white chiton, which was like an Ancient Greek dress. He looked elegant, and prideful. He wore his golden laurel wreath with confidence. His forlock dangling up the sides of his face, covering up a bit of his unique little freckles.
He drove his chariot across the earth, while watching every single thing the little mortals do everyday through his sunlight. Mortals scrambling around, late for works, and traffic. Seems like a normal day. This man held the reigns of his horses in one hand while playing a lyre on the other.
But who is this man, you asked?
His name is Apollo.
Also known as the "Golden Boy", Apollo is the greek god of the sun, light, music, healing, archery, philosophy, knowledge, and a lot of truly incredible things. He was originally known to the Greeks as Απόλλων (Apóllon). He has many other epithets, such as Phoebus Apollo, Apollo Dalphanaea, and many, many more. Apollo is also the twin of the maiden goddess of the hunt, Artemis.
Apollo has a history of failed relationships, which most of them involves getting turned into a plant in the end, and a lot of jealous gods. Even like that, he is usually quite cheerful and bright, even after all he got through in his four thousand year-old life. Maybe it's because he is god, never-changing, always thought the mortals are just... well, mortals. But he is different. He loved every lover he had, the old and new ones. He loved Hyacinthus dearly, but Zephyros was blind with anger. He had flaming love for Daphne, but Eros struck the poor nymph with his lead arrow, making her have burning hate for Apollo.
In his chariot, he looked over the world and he decided to go down for a break. I mean, he's a god, he can 'divide' himself and teleport down. Apollo walked by the street in his mortal form, wearing a yellow jacket and glasses, thinking maybe he can poof a car here, just to ride around. And so he did. He blasted some of his favourite songs and closed his eyes to relive his memories and enjoy the music. What happened after a few minutes, took place so quickly, even Hermes himself couldn't see it coming and process it on the right time.
Apollo heard a long honk of the car, instantly yanking him back to reality, holding his steering wheel firmly. He saw a black car moving towards him, close enough to crash if it wasn't for his speedy reflexes. He jerked his car to the side, only missing a centimeter, and halted on the side of the road. Apollo turned off his car and went out, watched as a pair of brilliant dark blue eyes observed him. Her features hinted how mad she is, with her sharp eyes, scrunched up nose, eyeing him as if he's going to do something rash and impulsive. She looked about 20, and she looked staggering with her lovely dark-coloured hair, and her hazel skin complexion. Her dark blue eyes shone as if millions of stars we're in her eyes, lighting the whole world. (Of course he knew this, he visited Nyx once in a while, *cough* never *cough*). "What were you thinking?" the girl said, sounding dangerously calm. "I was listening to music, thank you very much," Apollo answered confidently. He's a god, why would something like this worry him?
But Apollo studied her features. She was pretty and glamorous. Charming and bewitching (not the Hecate type, though). He wanted to get to know her better, but he was stuck in an awkward situation. He cursed himself for always making pretty bad first impressions. Well, not always, but like 99% of the time. "Music or not, always look into the road," she snapped, pulling Apollo back to reality. "Well, as a treat, do you want some coffee?" Apollo grinned, scratching the back of his head. "What? No! You almost scratched my car and caused an accident! And you want to repay me just by treating me to some coffee??" the girl answered, walking towards the god. She grabbed his ear, and pulled it. "Agh- what was that for-?" Apollo winced. Sure, he's immortal, but it still hurts-! "That, was your payment. Now, I need to go do some stuff," she sighed, walking towards her car. "But wait! I haven't asked-" Apollo tried to ask. But, he didn't have a chance as the girl's black car drove away and disappeared.
"But, I- I haven't asked your name-" Apollo whispered.
