Katelyn.
"Katelyn! A word!" I look over to see Lucinda. I sigh. Great. I turn and smile at her. Though Lucinda didn't look amused. "How could you? I told you-." I shake my head. "You told me you liked (Y/n). And she told me she wanted to work things out," I interrupt. Lucinda crossed her arms. "You knew you what you were doing. You did this on purpose!" I roll my eyes and open the door to my car. "I don't have time for this Lucinda. (Y/n) is waiting on me," I say.
(Y/n).
I stare absentmindedly out the window of my office. My mind working. All those people look like her. And my mind kept flashing back memories. I lean back in my chair and let my eyes close. Sighing softly at the excuse to just let go. I might need another drink tonight. Something strong to make me fall asleep easily.
Sirens. I pull myself out of the wreckage. Going to the outskirts. I didn't want to be part of this wreckage. Not this one. I stare at the mess. Pulling my knees up. I watched as ambulances come up. Pulling Mama on the stretcher. Mama is crying. "(Y/n)! Where's my baby?! (Y/n)!" I don't speak. I don't make a sound. Slowly I get up. And start limping away from them. Not looking back.
I jump as a hand is put on my arm. My eyes open up. Just to see Katelyn. She looks at me worried. "(Y/n)? Are you okay?" I nod. Sighing softly as I shift. "Yeah. I'm fine. Thinking of the crash." Katelyn's face takes a hint of recognition. "Oh (Y/n)," she whispers. But I shake my head. The memory was already fading away. "I don't want to talk about it. I need to get to my mind off of it," I mutter. Standing up. I grab my keys and my phone. "Lunch?" Katelyn nods. Still frowning. She takes my hand and I go.
Katelyn.
"Sam said that he was worried. You've been quiet all day," I mentioned. (Y/n) shrugs. "I didn't get much sleep last night," (Y/n) says. I sigh. Making (Y/n) look at me. Her (e/c) eyes seemed cold while they stare at me. "(Y/n), it's me. I'm not some stranger. You can talk to me. I'm here to listen," I whisper. I place a hand on her cheek. Brushing back her hair. (Y/n) sighs softly. A look of doubt flashes briefly on her face. She crosses her arms. "I don't know Katelyn. I thought I saw her yesterday. And my brain is kinda spiraling right now," (Y/n) whispers. Moving me up so a person can walk passed us. I frown. "So why didn't you say something? You know I want to help as much as possible." At this, (Y/n) smiles. It's a genuine smile. Something small and warming. "I have way too much pride," she jokes. Though I know she's not really joking. I smile. Slipping closer to the girl. (Y/n)'s hands came to my hips. As she smiles down at me. "Me and this pride of yours need to have a talk," I teased back. (Y/n) laughs. Throwing her head back. She looks down at me with a joyful look. "I'm so glad I have you in my life again, Blue. There's never a rainy day when you're near," (Y/n) whispers. I smile. Watching her lean in closer. "I could say the same about you." (Y/n) chuckles.
(Y/n).
"Katelyn!" Katelyn and I pull away. I look up annoyed. Who the hell is bothering us now? Just to see the girls. Aphmau smiles. "Oh my, Irene! We have to go to Macy's! They're having a sale!" Katelyn gasped. "We have to go! (Y/n) you're coming with!" My eyes narrow at the blue-haired beauty. "I have work." "Sam will clock you out. Come on." And just like that, I was being dragged down the street. It didn't help that Macy's was right around the corner either. "You owe me," I complained. Katelyn smiles innocently at me. Batting her eyes to throw it over the top. "I'm just helping you take your mind off of things. We can find some things for Emersyn in here," she says. I roll my eyes. "I don't like shopping and you know that." Katelyn laughs. Cuddling into my side. I roll my eyes once more. Throwing an arm around her shoulders as we follow the other girls. "You can pick something cute out for me. And I really want to take your mind off of those pesky little memories. Please? For me (Y/n)," Katelyn pleads? A pout settling on her lips. That famous pout that makes me cave into whatever it is she wants. I huff and nod. "Fine. You win," I mutter back. Katelyn smiles and kisses my cheek. "I'll make it up to you babe!" I smile at the obvious delight in her eyes. The way she smiles so brightly. Honestly, I didn't mind shopping with Katelyn. As long as she was in a good mood, I was in a good mood. It didn't matter what we were doing. Wait. On second thought, yes it did. If we were seeing Eric, then I don't think anything would make me happy.
Katelyn.
Lucinda was waiting at Macy's. She rolled her eyes at me. But I didn't give two fucks. I was here enjoying myself. And I was here with (Y/n). Nothing in the whole fucking world could change that right now. "You're the Macy's expert. Where to first," (Y/n) asks? I smile at her. "This way. I need a cute shirt to match these pair of jeans that I brought," I say. (Y/n) hums. Following me into one section. I smile as I feel her presence so close to me. (Y/n) was so calming to be around. Maybe that's why Lucinda likes her. I hum and shove the thought away. No. (Y/n) is mine right now. I don't need to think about what Lucinda likes. Or what Lucinda thinks. I know what (Y/n) thinks. And that's enough for me.
