Jamie and Rapunzel talked about their kingdom. Jamie find Corona—based on the it's Princess' story—really friendly and lively. Jamie can see the spark on the princess' eyes as she talked about her home — her parents, the Eugene guy, everyone. If only her home kingdom can be like that.
She sighed, a pained look in her eyes. "That sure sounds great. A celebration everyday? That's nice."
Rapunzel quickly caught up on Jamie's sad demeanor. "H-hey, are you okay?" She asked with a soft voice.
Jamie quickly put up a fake happy bearing. "Of course, I am! Why wouldn't I be?" Her tone were filled with happiness - it can actually fool anyone, but not Rapunzel.
Being stuck with someone who lied to her face her whole life taught the princess on how to analyze if a person is faking it or not and she can clearly see through Jamie.
"Are you a natural born actress?" Rapunzel blurted out. Jamie's eyes widened and Rapunzel quickly talked. "Oh, it's not what I mean. I'm-" she was cut off.
"When you live in our castle, you have no choice but to act," Jamie stated.
Rapunzel stopped and stared at her. Jamie's eyes were cold and distant, like she was remembering something. A few moments later, she turned to Cassandra and then back at Rapunzel with a smile.
"Look's like she's done. We'll start the lesson then," said Jamie and stood up but Rapunzel grabbed her arm.
"Jamie, if you need someone to talk to or someone to cheer you up, I'm here," the brunette said with a smile.
"Thank you, Rapunzel."
Cassandra didn't heard their conversation but it seemed serious the moment Rapunzel stopped talking. She sighed before drinking the glass of water. She's done. She pushed the table to the side and stood up.
"Now, we're going to start with your posture," said Jamie and grabbed her arm, forcing her to sit down again.
"Wha-"
"Stop talking and just watch and learn," said Jamie with a serious voice. She took another chair and placed it in front of Cassandra and sat down.
"Every princess need to know how to sit properly — a posture that shouldn't be taken lightly. A Princess and a Queen should act properly for they held the kingdom's name where ever they go. Got it?"
Cassandra nodded.
"When in terms of sitting, there would be sitting arrangements. The King, or the one in the throne and next to it is the next in line, the son or the daughter — in your case, Varian. Then of course, the son's fianceè, you or Rapunzel, whatever. I'll just point to you," said Jamie with a shrug.
"Now, with the sitting position. Do not cross your legs," said Jamie when Cassandra was about to cross her legs.
"What? Why?" Cassandra asked.
"Because it's improper for a princess, got it? It can cause sickness, you know? I forgot what it's called, I'll tell it tomorrow once I found the book where I've read it," she explained.
"Fine."
"Now, cross your leg at a 45 degree angle and rest one leg on top of the other. Make sure to keep your knees and ankles together," said Jamie as she professionally did the posture. "Keep your back straight. Never slouch or squirm, it'll give the impression to the people that it's either you're bored or just lazy."
Rapunzel took a chair and tried to do it and surprisingly — she manage to do it perfectly at her first try and for that Jamie gave her a huge smile.
"Cassandra, that's a 50 degree angle, not 45, keep your knees and ankles together," said Jamie as she examined the dark haired girl.
Cassandra tried again, "how did you even know on what angle I am crossing my legs?"
"I have a keen eye," said Jamie. "Now, that's a 40 degree angle. I told you, 45 degree angle. No more, no less."
"Finally, you got it!" Jamie exclaimed after Cassandra's 24th try. "We're seriously going to have a hard time on this one," said Jamie, massaging her forehead with her fingers. "For goodness' sake, that's only the sitting position!"
"I told you, I'm not good at this," said Cassandra with a frown.
"You will be. You just need practice. Now, STAND UP!" Jamie shouted and Cassandra quickly followed.
"Your stance is almost perfect, straight back and all," said Jamie as she walked around Cassandra, examining her. "Now, the only problem is your chin. Lift it up for a bit. Your chin must be parallel to the ground, it screams a high status, you know?" She stated.
"Too high, I said parallel to the ground," said Jamie when Cassandra raised her chin.
"There," said Jamie when Cassandra moved her chin down for a small bit.
"Now, you need to do that while walking. We'll do the books on your head next time," said Jamie.
"Take a step, NOW!"
Geez. She didn't have to shout.
