A/N: This is a short filler one shot as I am still in the process of writing the Eli rq! I'm halfway done with it and it's already at 3k+ words so I hope I am not taking to long! Anyways, this is a modern AU where Emma works at a flower shop and you're looking for a job. Also, I haven't edited this yet so sorry if there are any writing mistakes or it seems a little rushed, I'll make sure to recheck everything once I'm done with school!

❅Reader's POV❅

Strolling through the busy town on a relaxing autumn day had calm your mind of any nuances as you proceeded to scout the area of any job recruitment. Out of the corner of your eye, you had spotted a cozy little cottage filled with vibrant colors of flowers, each petal of different flowers giving off a special hue to them had you in awe as you inched closer to the flower shop. You've anticipated for such a moment to be interested in working at a place in which you had been mesmerized by, not letting such an opportunity go to waste. Feeling the cold autumn breeze caress your skin made you anxious, each step crunching a few orange-red leaves as you were approaching your destination.

Standing in front of the flower shop made every part of your body shiver, each hair on your skin standing up as you pushed open the clear-glass doors to the place. A little ring could be heard as you made your way into the shop, looking around at the vast collection of flowers on display. A brunette haired girl wearing what looks to be some work attire had come out from the back storage to see who had come in, as it was unusual for a customer at 10 AM to be looking for some flowers.

"Welcome to Emma's Flora-shop! How may I help you on this fine autumn day, ma'am?"

Startled, you turned to see a petite looking girl staring at you with an utmost smile, making you slightly blush at how adorable the girl's smile was. You slowly walked to the counter where the girl was standing behind, and shyly asked her the thing that made you so worked up in the mornings.

"E- erm... I was wondering if there were any job openings here? I've been meaning to find a job, and almost everywhere I checked wasn't looking for any more workers. I'm sorry to ask such a question."

"Oh, no worries! I'm the manager of this shop and plan on posting some job posters outside. I opened the shop not too long ago, so it's just been me working. It would be nice to have someone else help me manage the shop."

The Brunette gave you a wink and walked towards the back room, grabbed some clothing, and came back out to hand you the work attire. Your heart raced as you quickly bowed to the girl, feeling in-depth to her as you finally got a job. She chuckled at your gesture and petted your hair, the soft strands of [H/C] hair had the brunette smiling as she was no longer alone.

"T- thank you so much u- Uhm... I haven't quite gotten your name yet.."

"It's Emma Woods! From now on you can just call me Emma as we'll be working here together!"

"Alright... My name is [Y/N], it's a pleasure to be working with you."

With all the formalities out of the way, the two of you settled down as the day had started. New job, new life, you were excited to be working here alongside Emma, a blush spreading across your face visibly as you began setting out new flowers on display. A tinged of hope, a new flower had sprouted as a chapter of your life was created in this tiny flower shop and you would soon realize that your small hope would come to such quick dismay. The flower that had sprouted would be that of a Begonia, and you had wished for it to never sprout.
