Avocado x Reader (Final Space)

Y/N POV

"Quinn~ Do I look any different? I should- because youre looking at the most wanted man in the galaxy" Gary vlogged his daily videos to this girl named Quinn who I have learned little about. Just as he said that Avocato walked in

"Oh! Look who it is! Avocato come say hi to Quinn" Gary cheered as he stepped closer to Avocato who answered with a grumpy "No."

"He's a bit of a grouch" Gary said as Avocato continued walking away and I giggled at the comment, true
"but his son's been kidnapped" Gary whispered to the camera "yeah..I know" Gary sighed before going on about his new robot arm.

I finally left the corridor and went to the kitchen- my mind drifting off to Avocato's son. I wonder how old he is? I can't lie, I have a soft spot for children so I do hope he is a kid...but at the same time I dont want to think of a child being held captive. I sure hope he is ok...

I take a cookie with ease as the "no cookie" punishment is for Gary only and not me. Just before I could taste the sweetness of the cookie--

"Proximity Alert. Proximity Alert" HUE warned- the horn of the ship shining a red. I quickly ran to Gary- accidently bumping into Avocato.

"Oh- uh..sorry" he says as he cleared his throat
"No. Uuh its ok uuh" I reply just as awkward

We share a lovely eye avoiding and throat clearing, awkward moment before Avocato finally spoke

"We should probably...check.. whats going on"

"Oh! Yeah..yeah" I nod and so we both return to running.

We meet with Gary at the corridor and OH MY GOD WHY IS HE NAKED?!

I quickly cover my eyes and cringe away. Avocato notices this and moves in front of me to (what I assume) cover up the sight

"Gary, we are taking fire from the Lord Commander's heavy incinerators" Hue announces as we reach the Pilot room after Gary wrapped a towel around him

"What do we do HUE?" Gary asks as the ship shook.

"Calculating..."

Nearly losing my balance, I trip back but something helps me steady. When I look back it's Avocato who seems too focused on HUE's reply to notice that he is holding me.
I don't think too much into it, it's probably his parental instincts shining through.

"...I am detecting an incursion in our proximity." Hue replies, showing a hologram in the process

"A what?" Gary asks

"A temporal worm" HUE replies simply "it's your only option"

"A temporal worm could send us backwards or forwards thousands of years, Gary." Avocato warns, his grip around my waist getting tighter "Are you sure that's the only choice we have?"

As I begin to think of the possibilities, it doesn't really scare me. What happened in the past is in the past and I am here now...not to mention- I doubt that the future will be any worse than what I've already been through

"FEED US TO IT!" Gary ordered without a second thought

As soon as he did the worm appeared and we zoomed righr into it. Avocato and Gary gripped on the round table while I had no choice but to hold onto Avocato as he was still holding on to me. The speed of the ship pulling all of us back causing the horn to blare at an alarming rate.

Once it was over we all dropped onto the floor
"OOF-" I feel the air of my lung getting knocked off as something lands on top of me. Shutting my eyes with a hiss I hear a small grunt coming from whatever is on top of me and finally open my eyes

"What the-" Avocato scratches his head with his hand and lifts himself with the other. He stops mid sentence as we are face to face, inches apart

"Uuuuuh....hi?" I smile awkwardly causing him to finally realize what was happening and getting off of me.

"Sorry about that" he reached out to help me up

"All good, don't worr-"

"That was wonderous!" Gary exclaims, making me naturally turn to him- only to regret it

"How about covering that dick situation you got going there, geez" Avocato covers his eye and moves in front of me yet again.

"In good time" I hear Gary say "speaking of which- when are we?"

"I think the correct question is when are we" I say as I notice Avocato move out of my way so I assume its safe to look now

"Thats what I said" Gary snickers as he ties the towel around

"Oh what" I reply disappointed

"Gary, we are 4 days into the future" HUE replies to Gary's question

"Wait what? That means my last four days of jail are up, tight, HUE?" Gary's face brightens as he immediately rush off to the cookies

HUE then proceeds to explain to Gary how that didn't count or something. I didn't really pay attention as I was picking up some things scattered on the floor.

Time skip to Gary finally putting on clothes

"Listen Gary, we're marked targets" Avocato says "and no matter what hole we hide in, the Lord Commander will find us in our hole and take Mooncake, from that hole" he warns before mumbling "I know that's a whole lot of holes...but we are in a whole lot of trouble"

"HUE?" Gary calls out in hopes for a denial

"Avocato is correct" HUE confirms.

Gary's face falls, his eyes drifting off to Mooncake. Mooncake...A name I remember from childhood. He does resemble that green caterpillar, I know how attached he is since he is comparing Mooncake to the catelillar our dad gave to him before he left.

"We need to hide him to figure things out" Avocato finally says "Look, I've heard of a place that safe guards fugitives- closest one is on YARNO" Avocato continues "No one will find him there" he reassures

"HUE...spool up the engines" Gary says, his voice with a serious tone. I pat his shoukder making him inhale and announce "we're going to Yarno"

As the ship travels away I suddenly realize something..

How come Avocato has never said my name?
