At the Warrens, a man had come to interview them about their work as paranormal researchers. Ed Warren stood in the door opening, welcoming the man into his house.

-Hello. My name is Franklin. I'm here from the news and I'm just going to ask some questions if you'd show me around and tell me about your work.

Franklin said, scrolling through his notebook.

-Well, we are paranormal researchers and we work with the supernatural.

Ed said plainly.

-Great. I'd love you to show me the haunted objects that you've confiscated over the years.

-It's inside this room and just so you know, everything down here is either possessed, haunted or used in some sort of ritual. One rule, don't touch anything.

Franklin followed Ed into a room down a couple of stairs. The room was filled with shelves all lined up and filled with old toys, statues and random objects. Franklin in his curiosity, leaned closer to a toy monkey that sat on the middle shelf of one of the shelves. He reached for it and said,

-Not even this toy monkey.

-No!

Franklin flinched and jumped back. After brushing his shoulders off in a way to regain his cool, he continued his interview.

-So Ed, tell me is the famous Annabelle doll here?

-She's right there in the safe case.

Ed said, pointing to a corner at the opposite side of the room to where a doll made out of tree sat neatly placed in a case made of glass. The doll had light brown hair, braided into two braids and a white dress with a red ribbon tied around its waist. Franklin walked slowly towards the glass case and made sure not to touch as he leaned in closer to it.

-Isn't it frightening to have all these haunted objects in your house?

-Not so much. Me and Lorraine have a priest who comes by each month to bless the house and they are not in our home. They are not part of our living. They are just things that are.

Franklin stared at Ed in amazement. He was so frightened in fact that, as a sound came from behind
the book case, Franklin flinched and backed away as though someone had struck at him.

-What the hell was that?

Ed looked behind the book case and found his six year old daughter, Judy.

-What are you doing there? Get out. Did you touch anything?

-No, I just wanted to see Annabelle.

-I don't want you playing around in here. Go to mommy.

Judy greeted their guest before going up to her mom, leaving an eerie feeling of weight in the air.

Carolyn lay drifting into consciousness after a rather unsettling night. She rolled to the side of the bed and noticed bruises on her arms and then on her legs. In disbelief, she shook Roger until he woke up and he sat up groggily, looking at her.

-What is this?

She asked, holding out her arm for him to see.

-Oh, maybe you fell off the bed.
