Hey it's me!
Sorry I didn't update earlier,
I was planning to update but
Our wifi was being bitchy and went out for like 5 hours, and I
Didn't get any writing done.
But it's here now! Enjoy💖

Handing the landlord your keys for the apartment, you're finally gonna be living in your house.
It was fully furnished with the help of Frank, you stored the boxes in an extra room just in case you could use it for something.
"Finally... I'll have a normal life."
You sighed, noticing how lonely it is. You're all alone, no pets and no one living with you.
Just awhile ago, some of your neighbors welcomed you with cookies and fruit cake, letting them in. You had a chat with them and they seemed nice.
You were expecting more of your neighbors to welcome you, and speaking of the devil, someone knocked on your door.

Standing up, you opened the door. To be greeted with a very familiar face, your heart had manage to somehow skip a few beats as you saw the shocked expression looking back at you.
"Y/N..?"
She said awkwardly,
"Y-Yeah.. Hey, Maia..."
You greeted her, opening the door wide enough for her to enter.
She stepped in hesitantly, a bowl of cookies in her hands.

"You can put those here.."
She followed your instructions, setting it down on the kitchen table.
Silence fell between you two, it's been years since you last talked with eachother... You cleared your throat and asked,
"I guess you live near here?"

"Yeah, just.. Just down the street."

"Right.."

The tension was so thick, it clearly suffocated the both of you.
She smiled, rubbing her arm.
"Welcome to the neighborhood..! And uh, Y/N?"

"Hm?"

She sighed, looking down.
"I'm sorry I shut you out... I just.. I didn't--"

"I forgive you..."
You interrupted her, making her look back up in shock.
"Y-Yeah.. Thanks, and if you'd like we can.. Maybe be friends again...?"
She asked in a hush tone. You couldn't deny it, you felt excited. Finally becoming friends again with Maia.
"Sure.. And thanks for coming by! I appreciate it, Maia."
You smiled at her, putting your hand on her shoulder. She nodded, smiling softly.
She waved goodbye and went home.

You couldn't believe it... You just rekindled a friendship with Maia once again! You were ecstatic and happy, that the two of you finally became friends. It was awkward, sure, and probably will for a few days. But just as long as you guys were friends, it was enough for you.
It's been awhile since you had a friend the same age as you, aside from Frank, but he was still older than you.

A few hours had passed by since that interaction with Maia, and all you did was watched some movies. Frank couldn't come over since he had a job to do, and you didn't mind. But you missed him already, it's only been a few days since you last saw his face and you wanted to see it again.
Grabbing your phone, you contemplated texting him and asking him to come over... Ah, screw it, you aren't getting younger so you texted him.
