Sam's POV (Sam and Angel are thirteen)
Angel and I were laying in bed with our shoulders mushed together and our legs and arms tangled up. Angel rarely used blankets so they were kicked off of him completely, and crooked on me. Because I was a normal human and I needed blankets.
We had pulled an all-nighter again, eating and drinking absolute junk all night. While goofing off and talking about everything and nothing. We were starting to feel the effects of staying up all night. I could barely keep my eyes open as we were watching The Office on my tv, and glancing at Angel, I could tell he was the same.
"Did you boys pull another all-nighter?" I heard my mom ask.
She sounded annoyed but I knew that she was just messing with us. She had actually stayed up late with us before.
I groaned lowly, "No..."
She giggled, "I definitely believe you."
She paused for a second and added almost as an afterthought, "Well. When you two can get yourselves out of bed, come on downstairs. There's something I'd like to tell you both."
I nodded, seeing Angel do the same out of the corner of my eye.
Five minutes after she left, I groaned and sat up, "Come on, we gotta go downstairs."
He grabbed my hand to cover his eyes, "No. It's time to sleep now!"
I rolled my eyes but smiled at his antics, "Come on!"
"No."
"Don't make me say the name."
He moved my hand slightly so I could see him narrowing his eyes at me, "You wouldn't dare."
I smiled, "I would."
Not believing me, he recovered his eyes with my hand. And repositioned slightly so he was more comfortable.
"Come on... Angie!"
"That's it!"
I let out a loud laugh that sounded like a scream as I leaped out of my bed. I caught myself from tripping over Angel's legs and I ran as fast as I could downstairs without falling to my death. Angel was right on my tail and I ran into the kitchen where I hid behind my sister.
"Help! He's trying to kill me!"
We ran around in circles around Hillary for a little bit until she caught Angel in a hug, "What is going on, you demon child?"
I laughed a little.
Everyone always called Angel a demon child because he could be really mischievous. And he didn't always live up to his real name.
He huffed but didn't try to get out of Hill's arms, "He called me Angie again!"
She laughed, "That's why you're trying to kill him?"
"Yes!"
My mom chose this moment to walk in and laughed at us, "Boys, calm down. I know I told you to come down when you were more awake but this is ridiculous."
We both nodded and then sat down at the kitchen island, "So what did you want to tell us, mom?"
I noticed her head tipped down slightly but I didn't pay much attention to it.
