A few hours later-3pm
"Hey kids..." Denise said to the kids, as they all walked into the kitchen.
"Hi mom, where's dad?" Lantz asked Denise, as he frowned at her.
"Kids, come sit down..." Denise said to the kids, as they all sat down in the living room around Denise and Juan.
"Your dad... uh..." Juan said to the kids.
"He... left us... you see... he has some personal problems..." Denise said to the kids, as they all frowned at her.
"What kind of problems?" John asked Denise, as he looked puzzled at her.
"Umm.. . well.... I think you kids are old enough to hear this by now, your dad has a bad alcohol and drug problem." Denise said to the kids, as they all looked at each other and back to Denise, as she blushed to Juan.
"I know you guys don't understand, but I'll be helping your mom out with you guys, your dad is in a bad place in his life right now, your mom and I decided to have you all move in with me and my kids, they're all about your ages and I think you'll all get along, plus... most of you will be graduating this year and probably next year." Juan said to the kids, as they all smiled and then frowned at him.
"Well... what do you guys think?" Denise asked the kids, as she smiled.
"I think we all need to talk it over, we'll be in our rooms up the stairs, and we'll be down in a few minutes, come on guys." Lantz said to Denise, as him and the kids went up the stairs, as Denise and Juan smiled.
"Ok then..." Denise said to Juan.
"So... when are we going to tell the kids?" Juan asked Denise, as he put her hand in his and then kissed it.
