We decided to have lunch at a place not far from where we were hanging about. It was called Lillian's Italian Kitchen. Dang, it was so good. I totally recommend if you're going that way. (Shameless promo.) When the handsome waiter came to our booth of five, he asked, "So, what're we thinking about today?" Brooke said absentmindedly, "Girls, man." Kiefer poked fun, saying, "How old are you? It's chicks, man." Alex and I giggled together. "Pizza." Billy mumbled ever so quietly. I looked over at Billy who sat hunched over, trying to hide away. "Yeah, what Billy said," I frantically gestured like an Italian, "Pizza and cokes all round please!" I exclaimed. All the boys hollered in agreement. Linking arms with Alex, I casually put my head on his shoulder. "So, who's been cast then?" I asked Alex. "Well, Dianne Wiest," Started to list names, "Footloose!" I clapped my hands and wiggled about in the booth. "Ay, hey, no. That's illegal." Alex said sternly with a straight face. I laughed at him and begged him to continue, "Edward Herrmann," "Wow!" I said happily surprised. After thinking hard, I realized something and said, "Wait, weren't they both in The Purple Rose of Cairo?" Alex's eyebrows furrowed as his eyes rolled around in his head, trying to remember. "Oh yeah!" He said slowly. "Don't forget, Diane Wiest was in Falling in Love too." We heard Billy say under his breath. All four of us looked at him, unsure whether to laugh or not. "Love that movie." I said simply. "Yeah, that made me cry." Alex said, sniffing his nose. "Oh my days, yeah you did!" I said, the memory still clear as day. "Do you two live at the movies or something?" Kiefer asked sarcastically making us all laugh. "You're just jealous." I quipped. The drinks had come just in time. We all pounded on the table, cheering at the waiter put our drinks down. "I'd hate to see what you'll do when your pizzas get here." He said in his thick Italian accent. I couldn't help but stare a little, his fantastic dark skin glimmered. Alex pinched me on my arm. "Ouch!" I responded with a smile, looking at him in disbelief. "Thought you'd want me to pinch you, in case, you know, you thought you were dreaming." I nudged him slightly. "Come on. I don't know what it is about Italians. They're so..." I trailed off. "Romantic." Alex sighed a big humph and nodded sarcastically. "But no one has your sense of humour, beautiful boy." I said as I brushed away his curls and kissed him. "Whoa, hey hey, please, don't put me off my food!" Brooke shouted. Alex and I looked at him with a face that said Really? "So come on, let's talk. Billy you go first." Alex suggested. Kiefer took a sip of his coke and asked, "Yeah, what's your story then, Billy?" Billy looked anxiously around as I noticed a couple of girls giggle and look away from him. "I can't get a break." He mumbled. I giggled, saying,"Well, we know that. Come on, you obviously model." Brooke piped up, "Yeah dude, why're you doing this, when you can be out scouting for girls," He motioned to Kiefer, "Sorry, chicks." Brooke said with a smile. "Well, I've never done anything like this. I'm studying at Brown University and modeling on the side. I'm not the most outgoing of people. This is my first big gig. I mean, I was in an Equalizer episode once. That was cool." Alex held onto me as he said, "Wait wait waait! You were in The Equalizer?" Excitedly, he hauled his legs up onto the booth and leaned in. "That's right." Billy confirmed. Alex chucked and said, "Mama's Boy, right?" Billy nodded with a smirk, "Dude, I was in the same episode!" Alex exclaimed. "You didn't get your butt kicked?" Billy asked. "No. I died." Alex said with a casual shrug, I smiled at him. "That's rough." Billy said in his beautifully quiet way. "Wow... Talk about small world." Alex mumbled. "So you're here to make it through college, Billy," Kiefer said, "And how about you Brooke?" Brooke was blowing spitballs at someone in another booth. I giggled as I relaxed and sat back. "Oh, sorry," he cleared his throat and put down his straw. Alex sat back and draped his arm over my shoulder. "Er, well, I've just finished a skateboard movie with Josh Brolin. And music's my thing," He said bobbing his head in an airhead fashion. "But, I mean I thought I was playing David originally... But uh, whatever man." He said with a shrug and smirk at Kiefer. "Maybe you should get a sugar daddy, like Kiefer." I said to Brooke. Everyone looked at me as I had just sprouted another head. "What? It means having a dad with money, right?" I asked innocently. "You seriously need to know what you're saying means, before you say it." Billy advised, laughing with me. Alex kissed my cheek, "Always playing the innocent." He said, with a wink. The waiter appeared at our table with our pizzas. We all started to band on the table and holler. "Pizza, pizza pizza!" The boys chanted. I giggled as Alex looked at me with a happy smile. Digging into our food, conversation grinded to a halt. We were pretty hungry, ha. As I looked up from my food to take a sip of my drink, I looked towards the door; several unsavory characters had entered. They looked like they were looking for trouble. I stealthily scooched up closer to Alex, careful not to nudge him. I poked his foot with mine. He looked at me, chewing at his pizza, mozzarella stringing from his mouth. I snorted and discreetly whispered, "Look at what the cat dragged in." Alex expertly played it cool and pretended I said some sweet nothing in his ear, he kissed my neck. Brooke booed and threw a napkin at us. I widened my eyes at him. "What're you lovebirds saying, huh?" He said quite loudly. Alex and I felt each others bodies stiffen with apprehension. "Nothin'. We're just planning what we're doing later." Alex said, trying to deflect attention. But that made it even worse. The three guys ooohhed and whistled up and down. I couldn't help but look at the group that had entered in the joint. Making eye contact with one of them made me almost jump out of my skin. Alex swallowed hard as the biggest dude came walking towards us. Brooke was about to serenade to us. The big dude had a scar and a white stripe of hair. He put his palms on the table, leaning. "What're you guys doing here?" The big bloke said with an intimidating voice. Kiefer looked up slowly from his food. He was just as equally intimidating as the big dude. "Lord, I hope we don't die before this movie gets made." Alex mumbled quietly to me. I tried not to laugh, my lips all screwed up. "What does it look like, Stripe?" Brooke answered. Alex and I would've laughed at the Gremlins reference Brooke made, but we were too anxious if he'd stepped over the line. The big stranger heaved in a deep breath. I frowned, hoping it wouldn't get nasty. I could feel Alex's muscles were taut. "You guys are here for The Lost Boys movie, right?" He asked to our surprise. The five of us exchanged looks at each other, puzzled. We all nodded at him. And what happened next, you ask? Well, the big dude burst out laughing. Yeah. I know, we were just as stunned as you are. His mouth wide open, you could see his golds shimmering. We all went with it, apart from Kiefer, who couldn't help but say, "What the hell was that, man?" The big dude explained, "Sorry man. You should've seen your faces though!" Alex's body relaxed as I smoothed his back. "Babe..." Alex mumbled as he sighed heavy, a huge sigh of relief. "Guess we'll live to see another day, then."
