The Ludicrous Escapade Pt.2

You woke up to still be in Kars' hold. He was awake with one hand dragging lazily through your hair, "Good morning. Did you have pleasant dreams?"

"I think so, I can't remember them anymore, though. Something about Italy, I think." You reached out to tough his own purple locks. It felt about as soft as you remembered. "You know, when I first had you as my Stand, I hated every second of it." That certainly didn't bring about the kindest expression from Kars, "But... that's changed. You've changed. Now I think I'm genuinely happy to see you again."

"Well, it's only natural. Who could possibly resist the ultimate being?" He said it in a somewhat joking manner as he rolled onto his back and his smile started to fade. "But I'm happy to see you again, too." The door to your room swung open and you didn't see anything until Iggy jumped onto your bed, barking loudly at Kars and dancing around in a circle. "Did you simply hear my voice and come running?" The dog nodded and another series of yelps ensued, "Well, yes, I would hope you'd think me better than some vampire."

Santana showed up in the doorway of your room. He was still wearing pajamas with one hand clutching a plushie Wamuu that Joseph had won for him at Polnareff Land, "What's all the commotion about? I sense something a bit off, is someone else here?"

You conversed with Kars as Iggy explained as best he could to the Pillar Man what was going on. "Huh, I suppose it does make sense that he can't see me. Perhaps you should stab him with one of those arrows. That would give him a Stand, right?"

You cocked your head to the side, "Most likely, as long as it doesn't work any differently on Pillar Men to how hit does on humans. But I don't really want to just test it out just in case it's the Stand is something he can't control. I don't like having so many unknown variables."

Kars gave a low hum, "Well, I suppose that's understandable. But some of the greatest things happen because risks were taken. I didn't know if the Stone mask worked or not when I first made it, but I still tested it out on myself anyways. And, yes, I am dead now, but even if it was for a moment, I was able to feel sun upon my skin, the sheer power coursing through my veins, the beginnings of the secrets of the world, and I don't regret the steps I took to achieve that." He started to scratch behind Iggy's ear, "But on a different note, what do you plan to do about this dog? He obviously doesn't have many years ahead of him. Would you like to use a mask on him? It worked on horses well enough, so granting immortality to a dog shouldn't be too difficult." Iggy woofed a few times, "Yes, fair enough. I suppose I shouldn't have even thought of forcing you into such a state."

Santana kneeled down on the floor quite suddenly, "I apologize, Lord Kars. I was not aware that it was your presence within the room."

Kars' eyes scoured the room, "(Y/N), could you please hand me a paper or something along with a writing utensil? I have yet to learn the arrangement of things in your abode."

"Oh, yeah. Sure." You hopped off the bed and pulled a notebook out of a drawer. You tossed it over to Kars along with a pen.

He started to compose his words along the paper so Santana could see, "As I have met my demise, you do not need to feel as though serving me is still necessary. You may Stand."

"Oh. I understand. Thank you Lord..." He stopped himself, "Kars. Thank you, Kars." He had to stop himself from bowing again as he exited the room with Iggy at his heels.

You supposed it was time to get ready for the day ahead of you and you walked into your closet to pick out something for the day. Kars' hands glided through the various fabrics as if judging your wardrobe. He found the mirror on the back of the closet door and started to make sure his eyeshadow was still on point. You had him go away for the brief moment that you changed before leaving your room entirely and heading out into the kitchen where the others were.
