"If you don't kill me, then he will."
A dull ache pushed down on Juliette's bones. "Then leave. Tell him you did it, then leave town before he realises you lied. Change your name, move countries, do whatever the hell you want to run away until it all dies down." She got up, her arms falling down her sides, the wound on her waist weighing her down. "I'm not going to kill you because that's not who I am. That's not who they taught me to be. But if I see you again, let's just say i'll make an exception to my morals."
Morgan pushed herself up, elbows against the floor, gaping at the amplifier. "He'll send someone else."
"Not if I find him first." Juliette spoke in a bored tone and let the knives slide off her hand, stepping out of the room with her eyelids heavy and jacket soaked of blood.
─── ・ 。゚☆: *.☽ .* :☆゚. ───"I'M HERE!" Juliette pushed through the double doors, the nauseating feeling accelerating the more she bled out through her shirt. While walking through the hallways, she attempted to tie her jacket around the wound to apply more pressure, but could hardly bring herself to pull on it to secure it. If the pack hadn't been depending on her abilities, she would've allowed herself to pass out in a quiet hospital room, but instead she dragged herself through the hallways and into the morgue where Scott was in.
She hadn't realised how upside down things had gotten when she was gone, until she stepped into a room with Chris Argent, Stiles, and Kate Argent herself. "What the fuck." Juliette breathed.
Chris had a gun pointed to his sister's neck, and Kate couldn't get a glimpse at the amplifier behind her incase her brother would pull the trigger. "Jules!" Stiles widened his eyes at the sight of her wound, which was revealed through the cut in her shirt.
"You sure you can pull this trigger fast enough?"
Chris gulped. "I don't want to."
"You're not going to kill me."
"And i'm not going to let you take his body!"
Juliette widened her eyes at the realisation of what was happening. "Okay," Stiles cleared his throat, pulling Juliette up by her waist. Dumbfounded, she looked at his eyes and the reflex he had to help her, even if it now meant risking the entire plan. "Looks like you two have a lot to talk about, so I think Jules and I should just—"
"Listen to me, Kate!" Chris cajoled his sister. "We have a plan!"
Kate sneered at her brother. "If killing Scott was apart of it, then you're worse than me."
"We're trying to get to the Benefactor!" Juliette let out, grunting from the pain of the cut on her stomach. Kate shot her head at the girl and squinted for a moment, before nodding, as if she identified who Juliette was. "And you're on that list too, and worth more than most. So if you don't let us fucking–"
"That's why i'm here!"
"Then back off and let us do what we planned!" Chris shouted. Stiles peered at his watch, and showed it to Juliette. Three minutes left. Juliette wasn't sure if she can keep herself from fainting in these three minutes. "Take the berserkers and go. Please, Kate. We have a plan."
Kate reluctantly left, and Juliette suspired in relief. "Your sister's a bitch, Chris." She mumbled through short breaths.
"Now what the hell happened to you!" Stiles exclaimed. "I told you not to go after her, I knew I shouldn't have let you."
Juliette let herself fall to the floor, drained. "Good news is that we won't have to worry about her killing me again. Bad news is that it wasn't the Benefactor who sent her to kill me."
"But– who else could it be?"
Kira stumbled as she ran through the door, hiding her shock when she saw Juliette bleeding out on the floor. "You need help–"
"We have two minutes left." Juliette pushed herself off the floor. "Let's get this over with."
Argent pushed the cabinet open, revealing Scott's stationary body, colour resembling ash. Juliette clutched onto his biceps, her other hand clenching onto Kira's hands. The fox fire travelled through the two, making it's way to Scott's body. Once the transfer was discharged, Scott gasped for air.
"What happened?!" He sat upright. "Did it work?"
"Not exactly." Stiles shook his head. "Well, not at all, actually."
Argent opened his computer, pressing in his password. "Transaction incomplete." He read. "Neutralisation failed. He blocked me out of the entire system."
Juliette's back hit the wall, and she sunk to the floor at the epiphany. "Of course." She scoffed at herself for not realising sooner. "Well, I guess this plan wasn't useless after all."
"What do you mean?" Argent peered at the girl, and all their gazes shifting to her.
"They didn't need to see Scott to know he's alive, they knew it the moment we bought him back." Her eyelids got heavier the more she spoke. "I bet they don't even need visual conformation either, they just say they do to hide the fact that they're a banshee."
"A banshee?" Stiles echoed. The pack exchanged glances of realisation, their mouth agape.
"There's been a recurring theme in deadpools. Amplifiers, and banshees." Juliette spoke in a barely audible tone, her head rolling down to Stiles' shoulder as the black dots in her vision enlarged.
