Act 2, Scene 3:
The GRAVEYARD, only the men have arrived.
Edward: Rome is indeed a beautiful city,
But the glamour is covered with dust,
When thou see the graveyard at night.
What hath been the reason Godwine?
That thou hast called upon us in the graveyard at this hour?
Godwine: I know the fact,
That Rome is a beautiful kingdom.
But I have called all of thou here,
To tell thee something,
And my my, I have to be quick. For if,
The ladies arrive now, we shall be in trouble.
Alfred: Why have thou summoned us Godwine?
Godwine: I am aware of the fact you try to hide,
That thy celestial bronze dagger is worthless.
But I have called thee to fix it.
I have called thee to murder thy wife.
Alfred: Hast thou read my mind Godwine?
For that is what I had been lasting to do,
But I shall not do that mind you,
For I do not require another crept of guilt.
Godwine: Why would thee feel a crept of guilt?
For did thee feel guilt whilst murdering her father?
Alfred: Do not taunt me O Godwine,
For I am not here to ear to thy taunts.
Godwine: If thou do not murder thy wife,
You shall prove useless to us,
For then thy celestial bronze wilt not affect.
Alfred: I do not wish to be the celibate among you four.
Godwine: Is that the case?
Alfred: Indeed.
However, I shall agree for the cause,
If thou murder thy wives too,
For then, we shall be square.
Godwine: I am ready to murder the obstacle,
The obstacle to the Treasure of the Sphinx.
But I must ask Nicholas and Edward of they wish to do the same.
Nicholas: ‘Tis worth it.
Edward: Yes, indeed.
Godwine: Then keep thy daggers ready folks,
And stab the witches right in their heare.
Enter ALICE, LISA, MASOTA, JULIANA
Lisa: So wilt thou now tell us,
Why hast thou called upon us in such a dark hour?
Alfred: Which grave would thou all like to choose?
Alice: Say again?
Godwine: He hath asked right?
You shall choose thy place, and we,
Shall bury you there.
Masota: But why would thee bury us?
Nicholas: Oh don’t you know,
‘Tis a strong belief our customs and rituals,
That a person be buried after he hath died.
Juliana: After we hast died?
I do not think thy intentions are crystal.
Edward: You see ladies, Alfred here sayth,
That Alice hath cursed him that his dagger,
Shall not affect nobody till Alice lives,
So we shall kill Alice.
But Alfred sayth another thing too,
That he wilt not likes to be the only celibate,
So we hast to murder thou all.
Alice: Thy plan shall fail,
For even if thou hast thought to murder me,
I yet stand alive, and thy dagger shall fail.
Alfred: Thou need not worry Alice,
For Godwine shall kill thee with his own dagger,
And then I shall be invincible.
Godwine: Indeed.
But I must say another thing,
A fact which Masota and Lisa are well aware,
But Alice and Juliana are not,
We are not going to the Arab festival,
We are going to steal the treasure of the sphinx,
Which the king hath hidden half already,
But we shall be content with the other half.
Say thy farewell prayer ladies,
And may you go to heaven.
GODWINE stabs ALICE, ALFRED stabs MASOTA, NICHOLAS stabs JULIANA, and EDWARD stabs LISA.
Edward: And thus we proudly say,
That we have not murdered our wives,
We have murdered someone else’s wife.
Godwine: The path to the treasure is clear,
Come, let us have some wine.
And if we prove to be lucky enough,
The Gods shall have us joined.
