Corpse hardly sleeps as it is, he gets a bit more now, but he used to get 3 hours nightly. He gets around 5-6 now that I'm here, but still it isn't enough.

I drudged into the apartment, my head already pounding from work. I couldn't take one more screaming child, I felt like I was gonna bust. The kids were so upset and angry at work today, I have a black eye from one of them throwing a wooden block at me.

I immediately put some ice on it, hoping the swelling would go down. I sat in the kitchen floor in silence, closing my eyes as I tried to relax, it wasn't working.

I don't know how long I stayed like that, my back propped against the cabinets. I heard my boyfriend, Corpse, enter the kitchen a few times, but never ask me what happened. I was a bit thrown off by it.

I stood up, put the ice pack back in the freezer, then I went to the mirror to see how my eye was doing. Less swollen, but still very bruised, luckily I don't have work tomorrow, so I don't have to be up very early.

"Baby, can you come here a second?" I heard Corpse call out for me, I sighed and closed my eyes, slowly making my way over to him.

"Everyone wants to say hi." I nodded, looking at the stream, I could feel his eyes linger on mine, he was staring at the black eye. Took him long enough to notice.

"What the fuck?!" He asked, standing up and grabbing my chin to look at it closer,  I winced in pain as he poked around it, his once delicate fingers were now filled with anger.

"Who did that to you?!" He thought someone hit me on purpose, I mean, I suppose it was on purpose, but he was also 4, so I can't really blame him like an adult.

"Kid at work threw a block at my head, hit me in the eye." I explained, sitting down in his gaming chair, I didn't want to have to hold myself up anymore.

He carefully lifted me up, sitting me on his lap as he turned the mic back on. He introduced me, his voice deeper than before, he was angry I was hurt, but he couldn't do anything about it.

"Hi guys! I'm sorry, I'm a bit tired, work was so much today. Thank you for wanting to talk to me though." I stayed for a few minutes, talked to his friends a bit, but eventually just ended up sitting in the living room. The world was very overwhelming today.

It was silent. The only noises were coming faintly from Corpse's office, nothing else. I kept the tv off, hoping the quiet would calm down my overworked senses, but it didn't seem to help.

I sat there for what felt like hours, just staring off into the distance, sometimes forgetting to blink for so long that my eyes watered. I already felt like crying, so there wasn't really a difference.

I felt someone touch my shoulder, I immediately jumped up, turning to see who it was. I hadn't noticed anyone come into the room, Corpse looked at me worriedly, his eyes sympathetic as he looked at his hand, the hand that made me jump away.

"Just didn't notice you came in, I'm sorry." I dismissed it, he apologized and went back to his stream. I went back to my silence.

I moved to the bedroom, my movements quiet as I shifted around in the bed, I was alone, I was cold, I was exhausted, but I couldn't sleep.

After an hour of trying, I felt tears well into my eyes, I couldn't stop them. I was so overworked and overwhelmed that my body was forcing me to cry so that I could relax. I tried holding it back for as long as I could, but the dam had broken.
