Hazel P.O.V.
Darkness, darkness and the ray of sunshine, my brother, is all I've seen for gods know how long. It felt like it has been days since we've seen the sun and it probably has. None of us know how much time has passed. We obviously can't use the sun as an indicator, Anzila Tara and Modame Amveda (two Wakanda soldiers who joined my squad) brought watches but for some reason they stopped working after 5 hours of walking in the almost complete darkness.
"We're close to Thanos, I can feel the Stones' energies stronger than ever," I said breaking the sound of our footsteps and the sound of the ground parting before us.
"Good, my legs are tired and I'm sick of these people," Nico mumbled so only I could hear him. I stifled a giggle and continued to pour more concentration into making a tunnel.
After a few more minutes of walking Wanda said,"I can feel the power of the Stones now aswell. We must be very close."
"What is our plan of action when we come onto the surface?" Anzila asked in her heavy African accent. There was a moment of silence then Nico answered,
"We have to cover Hazel and Wanda while they destroy the Stones, then we fight our way to the rest of the battle. Most importantly, everyone comes back alive." At his last comment he looked directly at me. In the dim light of the torch I could just see the blacks of his dark brown eyes. The shadows on his face made him look a lot older than fifteen and so did his grim facial expression.
I nodded along with Wanda, Anzila and Modame in silence. We walked on a little untill the power of the Stones became overwhelmingly strong. I locked eyes with Wanda.
"Everyone ready?" I asked. Once everyone nodded their heads, I opened a small stairway leading into the blinding sunlight.
The Wakanda soldiers acted first. They ran up the stairs, spears and alien guns in there hands screaming,"WAKANDA FOREVER!"
"Here goes nothing." I whispered to myself under my breath as I followed them along with Wanda, Nico was tailing us with his Stygain Iron blade.
Ok so suuuper short chapter, but I've already started with the next one. I have to quickly switch P.O.V.s for the storyline to make sense. So ya happy reading and what not.
