My breathing worsened as I kept reading my Mother's letter, my nose, throat and eyes burned something fierce as I tried to regain my grasp on reality. Through shuddered breaths fat tears burst from my tear ducts like explosions, a wail ripped through my lungs, through my vocal cords and out through my chapped lips and I didn't see Hiccup's distraught and sorrow filled expression as he watches me breakdown in front of him.

How embarrassing. But I couldn't care less, not with all this information being brought up to the light so suddenly. I feel Hiccup's rough fingertips caressing my back affectionately as he opened his thin yet toned arms for a gentle embrace.

My cry of desperation grew extensively as I was enveloped with the love of a dear friend. Who I always wish was more, yet I was scared to ruin what connection we already established. Hiccup begins to sway like soothing a small child as he places his chin in my hair, I grasp desperately trying to gain a hold on his chest plate but failing fruitlessly, I feel Hiccup's fingers slip into my own and delicately taking Mother's letter from my grasp and placing it back down onto my desk. His left-hand reaches to the apple of my cheek and rubs his thumb gently back and forth, his right hand circled around my waist holding me tort against his body. The sensation of being lowered embedded its way into my bones as Hiccup guided both of us to the stability of the ground. He pulls me tightly to his chest as he himself leans his back to my desk.

We sit there for Gods how long as he rubbed my back in soothing circles, soon after a familiar tune escapes his lips in the form of whistling.

(Play Song Here)

A small smile adorns my face as I recognize it as the song Valka sung to me in my youngest days with her and continues to sing during her daily errands. As Hiccups whistles, he begins to scratch the crown of my head soothingly I wanted to lay here forever with him.

That is until Toothless and (d/n) enter my room and stare at the both of us curled up against my desk. Hiccup then scoops me up into a bridal hold as he walks me to the centre of my bedroom and lays down within our dragon's protective cocoon of warmth and safety. As we lay there absorbed in each other's embrace the beginning of the storm begin to beat against our eardrums as we fall into a blissful sleep.

Later that night Valka goes to check up on the two love birds, a smile gently makes its way onto her face before walking to her room to turn in for the night, happy they have found each other.

The Next Morning

As the sun creeps through the icy walls, light dances lightly against dragon scales as we lay here content surrounded by our scaley friends. We rest in a spooning position as I feel Hiccup's bandaged nose rub gently into my scalp. I stir slightly as I take hold of Hiccup's free hand and delicately play with his fingers. From his heavy slumber Hiccup grasps my fingers gently as he felt me move against him and pulls me tighter into his loving embrace.

"Goodmorning Hicc-"

"Morning Darling..." Hiccup drawls into my ear.

Pricking up and stiffing against his chest a blush blooms like a roaring fire from a Monstrous Nightmare but I liked it so I didn't make any intention of moving. But sadly, I had plans for both of us today; I pat his forearm and Hiccup groans as he opens his hold on me and I wiggle out of his hold.

I didn't mind this side of Hiccup. But I wish I could wake up with him like this every morning.

"Let's go out for a flight?" I suggest as Hiccup perks up and starts packing his things into Toothless's saddlebag, suddenly eager to get going.

"Come on love!" Hiccup exclaims as he tugs on my hand over towards (d/n).

"What's with all the pet name today, huh?" I giggle towards my dorky friend; Hiccup then takes hold of my waist to 'help' me onto (d/n). "Ya know I've been doing this practically all my life. I don't need help getting on (d/n)?" I offhandedly comment.

"But you're my lady and it's not polite not to help such a beautiful lass like you!"

I pretend to gag at his words trying to snuff out the blush once again taking over my face.

"Come on dragon boy" I call as I fly out of the sanctuary with Hiccup stuttering and taking off behind me.

We fly gracefully above the clouds admiring the view of the archipelago and basking in the new light of the brisk morning as we reach a patch of medium-sized islands formed into a complete circle and a slightly larger island standing proudly in the centre. I gazed down into the dense trees sprouting on all the islands. It was so beautiful.... That was until a shrill scream ripped out of from the middle island. A gasp rips out of Hiccup and I's throats as we spot lightning fire out between the foliage.

Taking no time to think logically I force (d/n) into a nose-diving into the source of the commotion. Through the wind whipping harshly against my eardrums, I didn't hear Hiccup shout my name and race after me.

As I break through the canopy of the trees I leap dangerously off of (d/n) and pull out my Bo Staff from my leg. A girl around the age of 23 with eyes of steel and hair of midnight screams in terror as a Skrill absorbed by lightning rears up to kill the girl. In a moment of panic, I throw my Bo Staff akin to a javelin as the dagger at the end pierced the Skrill's neck making it stutter and blood to spurt out of the neck wound.

Roaring the Skrill turns its attention towards me as I scream for the girl to run and escape but she sits there stunned and starstruck at me as I run up frantically to the Skrill launching my body at it and thusly yanking my Bo Staff out of the semi-stunned dragon striking it harshly in the snout. It then relinquishes its power to the fight and flees the scene, a shaky exhale escapes my chapped lips as Hiccup runs over to my side placing his rough hand on my shaking shoulders, adrenaline wearing off slowly. That's until Hiccup starts to yell at me.

"Why did you do that! You could have been killed! Ugh; I can't believe you sometimes (y/n/n)!"

Patting his chest affectionally not really listening to my best friend I turn towards the midnight haired girl.

"Are you ok there?" I state as I pull the stunned girl to her feet.

"A-all good, I need to get back home now..." the girl stutters with a blush blooming like a rose upon her porcelain skin.

"Well, that's well and good to here!" I beam to the girl not seeing Hiccup pout in the background watching us.

"We gotta be on your way too, things to document, islands to explore, ya know, the usual" I chuckle to her. Waving goodbye Hiccup and I saddle up once again and take to the skies continuing our flight happy as ever.... Hiccup not so much right now.

Mysterious Girl's POV

'She's so beautiful and amazing, I want to be like her one day, or maybe, just maybe be by her side forever.' I dream. I hope to see her again soon; My little dragon girl...
