Kageyama's POV
"Wow, how often do you stay up this late..."
"I told you hours ago that you were free to go to bed." I said, trying to focus on this chapter. Hinata yawned, folding his arms on my desk and resting his head on his arms while watching me read and take notes. He let out another yawn. I was tired too. I took a glance at the clock on the other wall of my room. Well, it was like 4 am.
"Hinata.. if you're tired, just go to bed."
"No... I'm okay..."
"Why're you trying to stay up with me anyway. All you're going to have to do is get up in a few hours and work again."
"Cause.. it's no fun... being all alone.." He said, drifting off mid-sentence. After a couple seconds, he fell asleep. Snoring a tiny bit. I smiled faintly and sighed.
"No, it's not.." I mumbled quietly, setting my quill down and getting up. Stretching before picking Hinata up. He was pretty small, so it was easy. He was also pretty light. The servant's quarters were to far and I was to tired to take him all the way there. And I didn't want to bother the servants who were working right now. So, I just set him down in my bed.
My original plan was to set him down and go back to studying. But. Boy did the bed and some sleep sound appealing. I gave up, yawning and laying down as well. Hinata turning onto his other side, facing me as he slept. The little idiot snuggled into my chest..! I reached up to push him back, but, I was too tired. So I just pulled the blanket over both of us and fell asleep.
Hinata's POV
Mm... was it still night? It was dark. But it was also sooooo warm. And it smelled nice. Wait.
I poked my head up a little, finally realizing that it was a blanket covering me too. I slowly moved it off my head, staring to see I was in bed. In the prince's bed. With the prince. I almost fell off the bed, the prince waking up and looking at me half asleep.
"What're you doing..."
"Er... I- um...-" I wasn't sure what to say. Or do-!
"I-I'm sorry your highness. I'll just, be going..." I mumbled, the prince grumbling and telling me to stay put.
"Um, your highness?"
"Mm.. you're my personal servant right? So you have to listen to me. So stay." He said, and went right back to sleep. I blushed, but slowly laid back down, being covered again by the soft blanket. Not that I was necessarily opposing getting to stay all warm and cozy in a bed that probably cost more than I would make in a year, but.. I mean, I don't think I should be in it with the prince?? Well.. If I was being ordered to stay, I may as well get a little more sleep.
Daichi's POV
"Suga, have you seen Hinata?"
"No? I know that the prince asked him to see him last night, but that's all I know."
"Hm, strange." I said, walking off to go find Hinata before he possibly broke something else. Well, I prefer he break something rather than be missing though.
Alright, none of the others have seen him. And the servants who worked at night were all asleep. Maybe the prince has seen him. After all, he made Hinata his personal servant. I knocked the the young prince's door. When there was no answer, I became concerned and opened the door.
"Your highne-" I stopped and stared at what was in front of me. Was that Hinata underneath the covers with with the young prince...?? Well.. that is quite unexpected, but, I didn't want to disturb either of them. I returned to the servant's quarters, Suga laughing when I walked in.
"Daichi, what's wrong? You look like you saw a ghost."
"Well, I saw something just as shocking."
"What? Is something wrong???" Suga asked, beginning to look worried. I smiled faintly and shook my head to assure him.
"No, no just. Here follow me." I said, taking Suga's hand in mine and leading him back to the young prince's bedroom. I slowly creaked the door open, Suga's jaw dropping when he saw the two sleeping together. Before Suga could say anything, I shut the door quickly and quietly. Suga grabbed my arm and shook it with a giggle.
"Aw, wasn't that cute!"
"Shh! Hey what're you talking about." I said with a confused look, pulling Suga along with me so we wouldn't wake either of the boys up by talking.
"Dontcha think they're cute together??"
"Suga, they aren't together. At least, not in that way."
"I wasn't talking about that way. I was talking about literally, they are literally together right now."
"Heh, Suga where is this coming from?"
"I don't know.. I mean you and I have known Kageyama from the time he was just a little kid. And now he's 18. And in all those years, he's been kinda cold with everyone, including us and his parents. Isn't it nice to see him be warm with Hinata?"
"I suppose so."
"...Hey Daichi. Do you think Kageyama will really find someone to marry by the end of the year?"
"I'm not sure. I know his parents want him to marry a Nobel or another royal. And you have to admit.. Most of them are just as 'spoiled' as Kageyama." I said quietly, Suga laughing slightly and nodding in agreement.
"Kageyama isn't actually that bad once you get to know him. So it's no wonder he turns down all the others. Excepttttt-"
"Suga, don't say it."
"Hinata."
"Suga..."
"What? I'm just saying!"
"You know that would never work out. Hinata is literally one of Kageyama's servants. His parents would never allow their son to marry someone like us."
"Yeah.. I guess you're right."
