You came to a stop at the edge of that cliff, looking down to them, eyes narrowed.

The wind fluttered ypur cape, pushing it against the back of your legs, your shoulders are drawn back and imposing.

Its sunrise and they stood at the ready, swords raised and looking up to you in fright. Far below you, they stood, trembling, nervous, and scared. Their numbers stretched far and wide.

In the front stood them. Your once friends, turned enemy, the power-loving freaks. Your nose wrinkled in disgust and you reach up to your capes clasp, letting it fall off your shoulders and over the cliff edge, blowing away.

They stared at you in fright as you took a step closer to the edge, feet hanging off some, dirt trickling down.

Xavier walked up from behind you, to your left, his hair ruffling in the breeze, cape fluttering, "Leader?"

You were silent for a second before looking over your shoulder and up to him, your eyes lock as he closes them wearily.

You let yours fall some before looking back to the soldiers. At least you were making an impression, you never thought the Dragon folk from the south and that wealth and power-loving humans from the east to team up.

They weren't underestimating your power. Your eyes flitted across every one of them, all waiting for a silent cue to flee.

Xavier stood by your side now as more footsteps approached the cliff edge. The soldiers below shuffled back in fear, you raised an eyebrow as the human leader stepped forward, "I plead to you, Myth! Please do not do this! People will die today, blood shall be shed, this is not what the gods would have wanted!"

You sigh, clicking your tongue, "You call me by my alias; Have you forgotten my name, friend? Or are you too frightened gaze, he Taboos to call upon it?" The man shuffled back and you growl under your breath. You didn't even need to yell to intimidate them, you can tell by the way they cower in fear. You grin, chuckling dryly, "Myth, how fitting."

"Why?" The other yells, the dragon, "Why do this? Why of such meticulous intentions?! Where did this come from, Friend?!"

Your eyes snap to him, even as a dragon, he cowered under your gaze, "Why leave me to rot alone when I conjured no magic? Why leave me when you could have saved me?" The dragon, prideful and fearless as they may be, stepped back in fright. Your voice dripped venom, "You say to your people that you shall leave none of them, even when you left me? Hypocrite. Have you never told them the truth? The reason you even became king?"

The king looked flabbergasted, "Of course-!"

"LIAR!" Your roar, the people at your sides shook and quaked at your anger the ones below seemed to wither and jump. The dragon themselves cowered, the humans faired no better. "You speak of the gods will like your own! Even when you threw the gods' gifts to the slums! Abandoning them to the forsaken realms of the west! To be eaten by the demons and hell-hounds that hunt those woods!"

You snarl fist curling, nose wrinkling in disgust further. Your gaze solely trained on the kings, "You are cowards and frauds! We are the gods' intent! You know nothing!" Your right hand flew to your chest, gripping your shirt, "My Alias is Myth! But my real name shall be known as something more! I shall be known from now and until forever as El! Ruler of The Forsaken, The Hopeless, God's Gifts, and the Forgotten!"

The men below, thousands in numbers, gasped in an outcry, scuttering back. You pulled the belts if your harness letting the leather fall to the ground and your wings emerge. The black feathers springing outward, stretching far and wide into the sky. Some of the men who lost their nerve let their swords clatter to the ground, most knelt to the ground. Knees sinking into the soft dirt, letting their foreheads press into the grass, praying for forgiveness. Others ran, scurrying to the forest.

Those wings blocked the sunrises' rays, casting the battlefield in darkness. The kings looked back to their people, then up to your burning eyes. Your eyes, in their golden color, glowed. Streaking in the air at any movement you made.

You went on, "I am the ruler of the darkest of nights! The Shadow Dwellers! Dark Beings! The Damned!" You felt the people below prey, their words like fleeting breezes, whispers, and quiet words in your anger, "I had been born a child on earth, of my wish, to experience first hand the hell there is here! The hell you cause yourself!"

The human king broke under your thundering words, each like ice to their chests, each letter laced with a god's intent, each word laced with your power. The human king dropped his weapon, bending down and sobbing his forgiveness to you. The Dragon King looked to the Human king, eyes laced in something not even you could recognize.

"You pray for forgiveness! Then do something I can forgive you for! Show me you are worthy!" You continue, the dragon king drops his weapon, letting the claymore fall onto the dirt beside the Human King. You took a deep breath, letting your wings recede. Drawing them into your body again, folding them neatly against your back.

You watch ad even te Dragon King runs with his people, and to the forest, "I shall await you, my friends!"

The humans slowly, one by one, stand and scamper off, you turn your head to look at each person who stood at your side. An elderly woman, who is young but cursed, another born without eyes but the ability to see even more than eyes can offer. Another born with ears of a cat and tail of one too. Another... And another... And another... It was a small army of misfits, of the cursed, if the damned of the Gods Gifts.

All yours.

They were your children. And you'll protect them with your life.

You turn to them, your anger rushing away at the sight of your children, "Come, let us head back for a feast." Your heart filled with such joy, seeing them light up with the promise of full stomachs.

And much relieved for a bloodless battle.
