Anchor (Levi x reader)

You ran outside, lungs burning as you gasped for air. You dropped onto your knees on the ground and panted, catching your breath a minute, you got up and walked away.

'He saw.'

"I... I know..." you whispered.

You knew Levi saw, there was no way he could miss the place lines that decorated your arm for a good few minutes.

Treading to a tree, you slowly sat under it, your back resting against the bark, you wrapped your arms around your legs and you buried your head in your arms.

'What will you do?'

"I don't know.."

What would you do? You believed fully that Levi would go tell someone, then everyone would know. You'd get arrested by the MPs like Eren, you'd have a court trial like him.

Except unlike Eren... you weren't an aid to humanity... you were far from it... you couldn't even control yourself like he could.

He had to bite himself in order to transform, you lose control every time you get angry.

You were a threat to humanity.

You sat there for hours, well into the darkness. Your eyes trained on the stars above you. You knew what you needed to do, you knew what you had to do. It was for your own good, maybe they'd give you a lighter sentence or something.

With a heavy sigh, you stood up, making your way back inside, you headed straight to the familiar doors and knocked quietly before walking in, closing them softly behind you.

"I didn't say enter." Levi said lowly.

"I know you saw them."

You didn't dare face the man, you stood with your back to him next to the door.

"Those marks on your arms? Yes, I did."

"I've decided to hand myself in to the military police. I'm sure you've already told Erwin, I'll make things easy. I will leave first thing in the morning if someone needs to accompany me."

You reached out, hand touching the handle of the door.

"I haven't told anyone."

That made you stop, and freezing in your tracks. Your eyes widened slightly.

"Y0u... haven't..?"

"No."

Tuning around, you met his eyes briefly before glancing away again.

"Why?"

"You are aware of how ridiculous it would sound, correct? I haven't decided what to do with you yet."

"Oh.."

You stood there, shuffling on your feet. The sound of Levi getting up made you jump, you watched him as he came over, his arms crossed across his chest as he stood in front of you.

He reached out a hand and you flinched back, making him stop, placing his hand back down.

"Show me." He demanded.

You gulped, closing your eyes, you search for Otis' power, letting it deep into you. The guides once again appearing on your skin.

"What are you?"

"Human..."

"Clearly not."

"That's not me... it's.. something else..."

Levi rose a brow, and you sighed. Looking down at the floor.

"It's.. I..." You stopped, "it's hard to explain."

"Well try."

"There's... my father.. he trapped a demon inside of me..."

You reached down, lifting your shit to reveal the pentagram on your stomach, it was faint still.

"This... is the seal that keeps him contained..."

Letting your shirt drop back down, the guides vanished from your skin, the power fading from your body as you couldn't hold it long.

You briefly glanced up at Levi, his eyes holding rage making you look away.

"I can't control it fully... I lose control when I'm angry..."

"I see."

Both of you stood there, neither of you speaking.

"I'll think about what to do with you, but it's not my intention to hand you to the military police (L/N). You're a strong soldier, but if you can't control that demon, or yourself. I will not hesitate to put you down."

"Yes sir..."

Levi nodded, headed back to his desk.

"I'll help you train, learning to control yourself and keep that side of you hidden. Come here again tomorrow morning, tell me everything you know about this demon and it's powers."

"Y... yes sir..."

"You're dismissed."

Nodding feebly, you quickly let the room. A sense of relief and anxiety filling you.

Why is he refusing to hand you over? He could get in massive trouble for it. Why did Levi want to help you?
