Breaking News: One Direction band member, Louis Tomlinson, dead at the age of 24

                    Everyone knows who the world famous British-Irish boy band One Direction is. With band members Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan, and Louis Tomlinson. Beloved by thousands, you could say millions, all over the world.

But recently, tragic news has hit these fans. Adored member Louis Tomlinson died earlier this year at just the age of 24 due to a cancerous tumor in his brain. "He died on January 1st. Right after the countdown to the new year." fellow band member Harry Styles states. Styles also said he was at his childhood home with his sisters Daisy Tomlinson, Phoebe Tomlinson, Lottie Tomlinson, and Félicité Tomlinson along with his mother Johannah Deakin.

"I knew his time was coming to an end. I didn't want him to be alone so I invited Harry, Liam, and Niall over. My youngest, Daisy and Phoebe just thought it was a New Years party. This wasn't a party though." Mrs. Deakin says.

Styles also said virtually no one knew. Only family, the band, and their management. He said they knew months before Louis passed so of course it was a major shock to fans worldwide.

"Well obviously we were devastated when Louis told us but we were more shocked at first. I mean, we've spent 5 years of our life with him. Always on the road together and in hotels." Liam Payne remarked "We've become so close that I honestly think of him more as a brother than a best friend."

Some fans did start to notice that Tomlinson was different. Noticing things like his physical appearance and the way he was acting. So, as any normal concerned fan, they tweeted about it.

Because of these tweets, concern and worry arose in the fandom. Hundreds and hundreds of tweets like this were posted everyday. The boys' management, Modest! Management and Simon Cowell, had to find ways to stop these tweets and stop the questioning.

Styles said "Whenever we had to go to the hospital for the chemo sessions, we always had to take an unmarked car and go through a back entrance." when he was asked about precautions they had to take.

Horan also voiced "It was absolute hell not telling the fans. I think especially for Louis. He alway loved tweeting back and replying to fans. He just loved to interact with them. It was one of his favorite things to do."

When the news of Louis' passing hit the fans, they were wrecked. Many heartbroken, sorrowful, and grief-struck. Many didn't know what to say. Some even thought it was a sick prank or joke. Gloomy, heavy hearted tweets were tweeted and an estimate of over 1.4 million tweets were sent out regarding the band members passing. The tweet that the official One Direction account tweeted got over 2.3 million likes, 1.2 million retweets and over 177.9 thousand comments.

Tweets and messages were almost immediately sent to the Tomlinson family and the bandmates. People sending their best regards. Even ex-band member Zayn Malik, who left the group in March 2015, sent something out.

To respect the Tomlinson family and fellow bandmates, the cemetery in which Louis will be buried shall be closed for two day for family and friends only. After that period of time, the cemetery will be open for fans to go and pay their respects.

No one was expecting this dreadful news to start off the new year of 2016. But one thing is for sure, Louis Tomlinson will always be loved and will certainly always be remembered.
