Everything's Changed. (Akaashi X Reader)

The night progressed and you were currently watching Bokuto, Akaashi and Kuroo, so shot for shot.

As the bottle of whisky that Bokuto brought was empty, Kuroo searched for more booze.

You sat down next to Bokuto who was holding his head.
"Y/nnnnnn" He slurred out.
"I *hiccup* sc-sweeerd u-up.."

You pat his back gently. "It's okay Bo...you'll be okay."
You were trying to contain for laughter.

You looked over to Akaashi who was across on another couch, both his cheeks were flushed as he sat there with his arms crossed and his eyes closed.

"Akaashi? You good man?"

He shook his head no.

You chuckled to yourself as Kuroo came back, he looked at the two and frowned.
"Maybe we should call it a night?" He suggested to you.

You nodded and tried to talk to Bo who was adamant on saying here he is.

"Want help with him?" Kuroo asked.

"Yeah actually since you're not completely shit faced like these two.."

He laughed and grabbed Bokuto, throwing am arm around his shoulder.
"Woahh. I'm spinning? Weeeee!"

You burst out laughing as you helped Akaashi off the couch he was on. He was easier to stand up and willingly let you put your arm around him to keep him steady.

"Uh oh.." Bokuto said.

Kuroo furrowed his eyebrows.

Your eyes widened as you knew this would happen.
"Kuroo! Bucket or bathroom now!"

"How about outside?" He said, dragging poor Bokuto outside.

You let Kuroo handle Bokuto as you slowly walked Akaashi out the door.

When you went out the door, you saw that Bokuto had made it and he was on the ground on his hands and knees, throwing up all the liquor he drank.

Kuroo turned to you. "Take Akaashi home, I'll bring this owl back when he's ready."

You nodded your head and started to walk again.
Akaashi also had his arm around your shoulder to keep him balanced.

He was stumbling a lot and you had some trouble keeping him steady and walking.
It was also hard with you carrying your tank. But thank god it was on wheels.

You finally got into the resistance building and dragged Akaashi into your room.
You placed him on the spare bed in your room and grabbed a water bottle for Akaashi.

He took the bottle with a smile.
"Thannksss" He slurred out.

You smiled and took a seat on your bed.
"Do you feel sick too? Should I grab the garbage can?"

He shook his head.
"Can you come here though?"

You stood up and sat next to him. Out of habit of caring for others, you started to lightly rub his back.

He smiled to you.
But then his smile faded and he furrowed his brows.
"Y/n?"

You hummed in response.

"Why do you keep telling me not to fall in love with you?"

Your heart skipped a beat. Your face becoming red.
"Well...cause you deserve someone who will give you a lifetime together, I can't give you that."

He looked at you a bit angry.
"That's stupid.." He slurred out. "Just cause you're sick doesn't mean you have to push those away who have feelings for you."

You raised an eyebrow and smirked. "Are you admitting you have feelings for me?"

His face turned more red than it already was.

You smiled as you knew he'd never come out and say that if he was sober.

In the past weeks, you and Akaashi haven't really been talking, he was distant for the most part.

"I just don't get it y/nnnn"

You furrowed your brows.

"I tried to stay away from you, try not to get close out of fear that my feelings would get *hiccup* stronger..."

You stopped rubbing his back and looked down at your hands.
"I'm sorry Akaashi.."

"I get it that you have walls and *hiccup* and shtussffs b-but.. I like you and I want to be the one who makes you *hiccup* smile and uh take you out for dates and treat you like a queen, because *hiccup* that's what you deserve."

Your heart almost fell out of chest. You felt bad for saying that he can fall in love with you, when it was clear that he already has.

"I-I broke up with Kumi.. Because *hiccup* I met you, and I liked you...I really like you... *hiccup* damn it.."

You went to stand up but he grabbed your wrist.
"I'm sorry..."

You took your seat back beside him and held his hand.
"I like you too Akaashi...more and more I see you, but I can't handle the thought of when you lose me.. You'll be heart broken.."

"Id be heart broken if we dated or not regardless..." He choked out.

You look down sad. Still holding Akaashi's hand.
Truth was, you didn't wanna let go.

Akaashi turned his head towards you.
"One chance.." He mumbled.

You looked at him and met those jaw dropping eyes of his.
They were more green in this light.
You could feel yourself falling for him more and more.

He slowly leaned into you and before you could move or say anything, your lips were connected with his.

His lips were warm and tasted like cheap alcohol.

He pulled away with his face completely red, yours was as well as you felt the heat in your face rise.

He widened his eyes. "I'm so sorry"

You smiled. "It's okay..."

He looked down at his hand, finally noticing that yours was laced with his. He smiled.
"Can I fall in love with you now?"

You went to say something but Akaashi fell back and quickly fell asleep, still holding your hand in his.

You felt a teat run down your face as you watched his sleeping figure.

"Yes Akaashi..you can fall in love with me."
