Return of the Overlord

We ran into the woods, jumping over rocks and semi big bumps in our path. We were coming upon my father's base quick. I told everyone to get down, they listened. "They won't know what hit them." Kai said. "Time to chop wood." Jay said. Out of the corner of my eye I saw (y/n) roll her eyes, this made me laugh lightly.

We ran up to the gate and kicked it down as we yelled Ninja, go. When the gate fell we saw that the base was abandoned. "Uh, where the heck is everybody?" Jay questioned as we all took off our masks. "Ugh. And here I was all ready to release the thunder." Cole stated. "The Ultimate Weapon is gone." Kai pointed out. "We're too late." (y/n) said in frustration.

I could see her eyes starting to flash purple as the others went on a head, calling out for Nya. "Hey, it's going to be alright. We are going to win this battle." I told (y/n) as we followed behind the others. She smiled at me and then gave me a peck on the cheek, this made me blush slightly.

We looked around with the others, but there was no sign of anyone around. We then heard the sound of a bird. We looked up and saw that it was Zane's falcon. "My falcon friend wants to show us something." Zane said.

We followed the falcon further into my father's camp. What we saw was outrageous. There was a giant whole in part of the wall, along with it were huge tier tracks.

"Whoa. That's one big weapon." I said surprisingly. "It appears to be heading towards the coast." Zane said. "But why? Wouldn't he try to use it on us?" (y/n) questioned. "Not on us." My uncle said as he walked up and placed a hand on (y/n)'s shoulder. "On Ninjago." My uncle continued. "He always wanted to turn our world into his own image. Now we know how it will be done." My uncle finished.

I looked over and saw the worried look on (y/n)'s face, I held her hand to comfort her. "But if he starts turning things evil, the balance will shift and allow the Overlord to crossover into our world." My mother stated, I felt (y/n)'s grasp tighten around my hand. "Then we have to make sure that my father never fires that weapon." I said to everyone.

We followed the tracks that were left by my father as we ran towards the coast. Before we even made it to the trees, we heard Zane call out to his father. "You go on without me. I'm an inventor, not a fighter. I'll only get in the way." Zane's father told his son. (y/n) made her way towards the two. "But what will you do?" She asked as she approached Zane and his dad. "I'll be back at the Bounty, waiting for you both to return in one piece." He told them as he placed a hand on Zane and (y/n). "But don't worry, a part of me will always be with you both." Zane's dad said with a smile. "Be well, Father." Zane told his dad as the falcon landed on his arm.

(y/n) gave her grandfather a hug and said her goodbyes. Zane's dad told them to be safe as the two made their way back to us. When Zane and (y/n) reach us, they turned and waved goodbye, Zane's father did the same. We then turned and ran towards the coast to stop my father from firing that weapon.

We were running for what seemed like several hours, but it was probably only an hour or two. We kept jumping over several trees and running past so many broken bamboo's.

It was like this for a while, that is until Jay spoke up. "Uuum...is anyone else thinking about how this might be our final fight together?" Jay asked everyone. "Yeah." Kai agreed. "Of course." Zane answered. "It's all I've been thinking about." Cole told the group. "We've come along way." Kai stated. "It wasn't that long ago when Sensei first found us." Kai told the group.

(y/n) and I just gave each other a confused look. "Hey." Jay started to say as he gave a chuckle. "You remember that time Kai thought he was the Green Ninja?" Jay asked as he let out another laugh. That question also made everyone laugh, including (y/n). "I forgot that she was there when all that happened." I thought to myself. I felt a little hurt. "That was quite the memory." Zane stated. "He was so not." (y/n) said as she let out another small laughter.
