29. Knowing You Better...

Start from the beginning

"I hate this game and I hate you." She muttered.

"Let's go and have the talk." I said clearing my throat as she nodded. We approached the bench but I remembered how awkward we both behaved when we sat there.

Nah, not letting that happen again!

I grabbed her hand as I pulled her away from there. She shot me a questioning glance while I kept pulling her.

I finally pulled out a mat from the corner as I spread it on the ground. I squatted down as I pulled Olivia down, making her sit directly in front of me.

"What is this?" She questioned.

"That bench gives me creepy vibes and it's better to do this while facing each other than staring off in space. This way things happen quickly." I said solemnly.

Her lips twitched as she nodded. "What?" I asked, feeling a bit annoyed.

"Nothing just... you sounded like those shrinks at school. It was a bit weird seeing the bad boy of New York College talking about these psychological things." She chuckled.

I bit my lip in order to stop my laugh. We had to be serious here.

"So..." She drawled.

"So?" I mimicked her.

"How do we start this thing?" She whispered as I burst out in a chuckle.

"Ask anything you want to ask me right at this moment." I said. She rubbed the back of her neck as she thought.

"3,2,1 GO!" I said in an instant.

"Do you hate me?" She blurted out causing both of our eyes to widen up.

"Umm- not like that- but wait- umm yeah no" She babbled as I cut her off, "No I don't Olivia. I can never hate you."

She stopped speaking as she looked up at me, "Then why are you behaving so cold and distant towards me?"

"What do you wanna hear?" I asked coldly.

"The truth." She replied back.

"I was- I am angry at you." I said out finally. She nodded, as if expecting that answer.

"May I know why?" She asked solemnly.

Why was I angry at her? I don't actually understand how to answer that, to be honest. Why was I angry at my crush? Because she didn't tell me her secrets? That is dumb if I think about it now.

"Aiden?" She said, bringing me out of my trance.

"I was angry because you don't consider me important enough. We are friends just for namesake." I spoke up at once.

"Not that again Aiden! How am I supposed to prove to you that I do consider you my friend? You, Noah, Sienna you all are my friends!" She sighed.

"Am I a friend of yours like Noah and Sienna? Nothing else?" I questioned her. She said nothing, just stared in my eyes as I did the same, looking for some answers. She was definitely going through a lot at this moment, all reflecting in her blue stormy eyes.

"What about you Aiden? Am I friend of yours like Noah and Sienna?" She questioned me.

"No you are not." I said at once causing her to go off guard for a second.

"Then how do you expect yourself to be friend of mine like Noah and Sienna?" She replied back.

"Then what are we Olivia? How do you define us?" I asked exasperatedly.
