(Don't ask about the song. I didn't know what song to put here so...)
It's Tord's first day as an unofficial member of the Coral Clan. Everybody seemed nice so far, escpecially Sólúlfur, who is apparently the leader of the clan.
Something about Sólúlfur reminded Tord of the Coral Army for some reason. Perhaps it's the name of his clan? Or maybe...it was his facial features, specifically his bright sea green eyes.
You see, not much is known about the Coral Army public wise since they tend to keep a low profile when it comes to the public. But each leader and child that was part of the Loren family (the family line that established the Coral Mafia in the early 1600s which later became the Coral Army in the mid 1800s) were known for their auburn hair and their unique eye color, which usually ranged from bright sea green to a minty blue.
"Hey Sólúlfur." Tord said, looking at the male who wore a tattered sky blue hoodie. Sólúlfur looked at Tord, tilting his head in curiosity. "Are you part of the Loren family?" Tord asked, and Sólúlfur froze. "H-How do you know about my family?" Sólúlfur asked, barely above a whisper. "Simple: Your father's army and my father's army were friends for awhile." Tord replied, his tone remaining stoic as Sólúlfur seemed to become less tense. "What army are you from?" Sólúlfur asked. Tord rolled up his pant leg and on his ankle, the Red Army symbol was carved onto his left leg. "You're from the Larsinn family line! That's so cool!" Sólúlfur said, stars in his sea green eyes that Tord couldn't help but get slightly hypnotized in. "To be honest, I wish I wasn't part of that family. It's one of the reasons why I lost somebody important to me...my father is the reason why I went through so much pain and trauma..." Tord replied, wondering how Idden was doing. "What did he take from you?" Sólúlfur asked, "I don't know you well enough to talk about it...sorry." Tord replied, curling into a ball as grief filled him. "Oh goodness, I'm sorry. If you don't want to talk about it, then I respect your boundaries. It's my goal and responsibility as leader of the Coral Clan to make sure that my clan members feel safe and comfortable! If you don't want to talk about something, then you don't have to talk about it. If you want to talk to me or the clan as a whole, you can say what you need to say and we won't judge." Sólúlfur reassured.
"Heh...thanks Sóli."
(Meanwhile...)
"GODDDDD WILL SHE EVER SHUT UP?!" Tom shouted, practically ripping his hair out. Matt was kinda pale and the bags under his eyes were heavy as fuck. He honestly looked like somebody who jumped straight (or should I say gay-) out of The Craft (a cult classic movie. Dunno if it's a movie based off of a book tho-)
WHAT THE HELL DOES SHE WANT?! Edd thought, getting irritated to a point where he just wanted to kick the bucket or just flip his lid. Maybe both.
Then he remembered that Tord wrote some poems and lullabies and shit and he went into Idden's room, taking one of the songs off of the ceiling and he unfolded it. He remembered hearing Tord sing this one so he knew the notes pretty well.
A future without you seems so bleak,
But as long as you are safe and sound,
I'll try to be less weak,
And though I'm gone, please don't wear a frown,
I'm here with you now,
Even if I am unheard or unseen,
I will always be proud,
You will always be loved by me.
Edd stopped singing since that was how the song ended. He waited a moment and heard a quiet snore. When he looked at the crib, Idden was sleeping peacefully.
Edd thought about the lyrics and felt a slight pang of guilt, but shook it off, since Tord "deserved it". He put the paper back onto the ceiling and quietly left the room.
(WOO HOO!! Double update bitchezzz!!
