Chapter 6- The hybrid

Bella's POV

I excused myself and eft to the bathroom, but really I was getting out through the back door. I felt a painful tug in my chest, wanting to go back. It went away after a few minutes telling me that he was following. He jumped on top of the Jaguar. I stopped so he could get in.

"Hi," I said nervously.

"Hello, love. What's your name?"

"Isabella Adrianna Gilbert-Saltzman."

"That's a beautiful name. Do you know what it means?"

"I know Isabella means beautiful."

"Your name nearly means Beautiful Darkness." I smiled.

"What's your name?" I asked him.

"Niklaus." I tensed, and he noticed. "Something wrong love."

"Niklaus Mikaelson?"

"Yes." He smirked, but it was quickly wiped of his face when I punched him.

"That's for everything you did to my family."

He rubbed his jaw and asked what he did.

"You killed my mother, aunt, sister, changed my best friend into a hybrid, almost killed my father!" With each thing I added his face dropped more. A pang I my chest stopped me from continuing.

"Nik?" He smiled. "What's wrong? Why are you smiling?"

"You called me Nik."

"I'm sorry. I can call you something else if you want me too. I mean there are many other things I can call you like-" I was cut off by his laughter.

"It's fine. Not many people call me that is all. Can I call you night. Darkness is at night so can I?" He looked so cute when he was uncomfortable.

"Oh. Yeah. So tell me about yourself."

He told me about his human life. How his father had beat him and how his brother died. When his brother Henrik died, how they changed, his siblings, and the curse that he had broken to unleash his wolf side.

I told him about the adoption, Charlie, Renee, Philip, the Cullens, when I moved here, the fight for custody all the way to now. It was late at night and we were just sitting at the top of a hill looking at the town. I asked him if he could undagger his siblings soon and he said he would think about it. I was laying on him when I saw lights flashing and heard sirens. An ambulance or police cruiser. We both leaned in and he leaned in even more. He closed the distance and kissed me right on the lips. I moaned and he pulled me against him. He grinned as he sucked on my pulse.

"Let's get you home love." I groaned at what he said. "I don't need you grounded." I laughed and kissed him goodbye. I entered keys in the ignition and drove home. I went up into my room to find a worried Elena, Bonnie, and Caroline.

"Where were you Izzy!"

"I was at a club." I lied. I didn't need them banning me from seeing my mate.

"Why? Alaric was going crazy trying to find you? He thought Klaus had gotten you."

"Was that the guy from the Grill?" I asked innocently. They said yes.

"We need to keep your identity a secret from him okay?" I said okay and they left.

Elena however was staring at me hard. "You have a hickey Izzy." She said before she left. I held in my laughter as she looked confused and walked out. I heard a knock on my window. I opened it to see Nik.

"Get in here Nik." I almost yelled. He jumped in and landed on my bed. I laughed and snuggled into him, but not before locking the door.

"Goodnight Night."

"Night Nik."
