part twenty seven: game time mfs

"Oh ok! You looked sad and sad backwards is das and das not good!" She said, proudly.

You smiled and then looked at the clock that was high up in the gym. "Ah the games about to start." You said, looking back at the cheerful girl.

"Okay!" She said, "I'll be cheering you on!" She smiled and patted your head then cheerfully walked away.

You stood up and placed the red flowly jersey over your head, putting it on.

You pulled it down and walled over to the rest of the team, attempting to avoid Tsukkishima.

You stood across from him, avoiding the eye contact while listening to Ukai tell the team the plan.

"Okay, (Y/N), you will be playing the first and third set." He said. "Either Kageyama or Suga will replace you in the second set but we will figure that out later." He finished, with you and the other setters nodding in return.

You picked up your water bottle took another swig, then headed onto the court.

The court.

You shook your head, trying to forget those memories.

Memories.

"(Y/N)?"

Your thoughts were interrupted by a voice. You quickly turned your head around.

"oh hey terushima.." You quietly said, forgetting your past problems and focusing on the one in front of you.

While that disastrous conversation went on, the small friend group went on the sidelines, watching.  Kuroo took out his phone and pressed the call button.

"Hey bitchhh!" Lucy said, her voice raising and echoing through the speakers of the phone

"Hey Lucy, how ya feeling?", Bokuto said, snatching the phone from Kuroo's hands.

"I'm doing better. Feel like crap still." She chuckled.

"Okay Lucy, we are going to set up the phone so you can see the court." Kenma said, taking the device from Bokuto's hand and setting it down angled on the bench. 

"Alrighty!" She said. You could see a nurse in the background, about to give her some medicine.

"Hold on I'll be right back." She turned off her camera and muted herself.

"Is it good now?" Kenma said, adjusting the phone.

She turned back on her microphone and camera. "Yeah its perfect!"  She said, smiling. "Im going to screen record this just in case." She finished, presing the record button.

Little did they know what was Terushima was saying to (Y/N) on the court.

He pulled your wrist, making you closer to him and he whispered in your ear which sent shivers down you spine.

You couldn't really make out what he was saying because of the squeaking of gym shoes and the bouncing of the volleyball.

The one thing you could make out was:

"Don't be talking to the other boys or you will get punished."

Your eyes widened but you quickly hid the fact that you were scared.

You nodded to pull away from him, but it left a bruise on your wrist.

'What would I do if someone sees the bruise?' You thought. 'I can just pretend I got hit by a ball' You continued.

"(Y/N)!"

"Come on we are about to start!"

"Right!" You called, turning around and jogging toward the rest of the team.

Terushima's glare followed you.

"Lets have a good game!" The two captains said, shaking hands.

The referees whistles rung through the gym.

The game has begun.

You stood in front of the next, watching through it to see the other side serve.

Its in!

Daichi saved the ball then quickly passed it to you.

The perfect toss.

He hit it to you at a 72 degree angle. You were hitting it to Hinata so you have to throw it up two times his height with arm length... you tossed it backwards setting it in his direction

'Perfect..' you thought.

He reached the ball in mid air and slapped it down, surpassing the iron wall.

"(Y/N) that was so cool!" Hinata said, coming over towards you.

You thought he was coming to high five you so you put your hands up but he pulled you into a tight hug.

Your eyes darted towards Terushima.

And there he was.

Glaring at you and smirking.
