The Secrets Within [ON HOLD]

Chapter 7

I smile and hug her tightly. "I wouldn't be able to do this without you," I tell Willow and I hear her chuckle.

"Go," she says playfully shoving me.

I chuckle as Jax opens the door and I step out of the car. I hear shouts from people and camera flashes as I wave. I got to the car behind me and open the door. "Good day, Milady," I say as I hold out my hand.

"What a gentlewoman," Khelani says holding my hand.

I look over Khelani and she is wearing a dark green dress. "Sort of matching," I say making her chuckle, "Would you like to walk the carpet with me?"

"I would love to," she says and I hold her hand as we make our way onto the red carpet.

Our names start to be shouted by paparazzi as we stand on the carpet. I wrap my arm around Khelani's waist and she looks at me and smiles.
I smile right back at she chuckles placing a hand on my chest.

We continue to make our way down the red carpet till we are done. After a few minutes we make our way inside the building for the awards. "Erin," I hear and I turn to see Beyoncé.

"Bey," I say with a smile as she pulls me in for a hug.

"Hi, Khelani," Beyoncé says pulling her in for a hug after me.

"Hi," Khelani says happily as she hugs her back.

"There is a rumor that you two are performing," Beyoncé says quietly as her and Khelani pull away.

"Going to have to wait and see," I says and Beyoncé chuckles.

"I can't wait," she says when it is announced everyone needs to be seated.

"I'll see you guys," Beyoncé says and we wave as she walks away.

"Come on," I say holding out my hand.

Khelani grabs it and we make our way to our seats. I have Khelani sit down first and I sit next to her. "Oh my gosh," I hear behind me and I look to see Billie Eilish.

"Nice to finally meet you," I say holding out my hand.

Billie looks starstruck, but smiles. "It's nice to meet you too," she says shaking my hand.

After a couple second the show then starts.

It is now the end of the show. They just announced the last award and the AMAs wanted to change it up this year by ending with a performance.

I'm backstage right now finishing to get ready to go out. Khelani is in another room getting ready.

My outfit for my performance is very casual, jeans, white shoes, and a white t-shirt. "I'm here," Willow says walking up to me.

"Thank you," I say as she helps me set up my ear piece and microphone.

"You ready?" Willow asks and I nod.

"One minute!" I hear and I take a deep breath.

"Go kill it," Willow says giving me a hug.

I walk out onto the stage and sit at the dark pink piano that is behind a curtain. I set my microphone when the show starts. "And now welcome our final performance and closing performance of the night, Erin Barker!" Ciara says and the crowd cheers loudly.

After a second I start singing while playing the piano.
