Starkid Character x Reader Oneshots

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

I was on my way to school, but I was a little early because I really needed to talk to Mr. Houston about an assignment but my thoughts were interrupted when I smelt smoke.

Looking over to where it was coming I saw a guy in a leather jacket, leaning against the side of the school finishing up a joint. I felt like I had seen him around before but only ever in the halls of the school. We made brief eye contact yet I continued walking and he just stayed in his place.

After clearing my issue up with Mr. Houston I went over to my locker, gathering what I required for my first class when a voice came from across the hall.

"You were that girl, right?"

The voice came from the guy I had seen earlier.

"What?!"

"The one was walking really early to school," He said, coming closer to me.

"Well what were you doing there? I was coming for an assignment, what's your excuse?" I prompted.

"I was just hanging around. Better than staying at my house."

"Huh, I'm sorry to hear about that but there are still so many better places that you could have gone to."

"But this one was the closest," He reasoned, "And also technically the place I'm supposed to be according to the government."

"Yeah, I have definitely seen you around the halls here before. What's your name?" I asked.

"Ethan. Ethan Green," He responded holding his hand out, "And you are?"

"I'm (Y/N)," I said, shaking his hand.

"Nice to meet you (Y/N)."

"How come I never see you in any of my classes?" I asked.

"Well there could be many reasons for that. One is it's a big school and the likeliness of us running into each other is pretty low. Second is...Simply I just don't go," He shrugged off.

"Never?"

"Not never, just most of the time. Including today."

"Oh wow I'm sure the teachers will miss you," I said sarcastically as I grabbed some of my textbooks.

"Eh...Wanna come with?"

"Really?...No!"

"Oh come on, why not?"

"Because I just talked with Mr. Houston and he is expecting me to give a presentation in class for an assignment," He said trying to persuade me.

"Mr. Houston? Oh I know him. He loves me!....Kinda, And heck If you want we can make it back just in time for that class."

"I don't know, we just met recently," I said, making an excuse not to go.

"All the more reason to go, we have a lot of memories to make."

I almost said no, but something about the way he looked at me and how he smiled made me utter the words, "Okay,sure."

"Great, let's go! Have you ever been to Beanies? They sing, They dance and they make great coffee," He said as he put his arm around me and led me out of the school.

The day went actually splendid. We went to the coffee place, saw a movie at a cineplex, and even made it back in time for my presentation. It was the blooming start of a new relationship.

"Hey how did the presentation go?" Ethan said at the end of the school day waiting for me outside.

"It went great, Thanks for getting me here and thanks for the fantastic day. I never knew how fun it could be to not do something you're supposed to do. It really just opened up new possibilities."

"I'm glad.... Plus there is just so much more that we can do next time. As well as places we can go. So thank you for keeping me company on this fun day."

"Anytime," I said, "Walk me home?"

"Absolutely."
