Chapter 8

"Nope, you're free till the wedding," Willow says making me smile.

The plane take off and I close my eyes. I feel Willow rest her head on my shoulder and I rest my head on top of hers. We both fall asleep till we get back to Miami.

"Mama!" Alaina says happily as she runs towards me once I enter the house.

"Alaina!" I say with a smile as she wraps her arms around my neck.

"I missed you," Alaina says as I wrap my arms around her.

"I missed you too Princess," I say as I stand up while holding her.

Alaina lays her head on my shoulder as I close my eyes. I run my fingers through her hair and I feel her smile against me.

"Oh, Mama," Alaina says taking her head off my shoulder.

"Yes?" I ask her.

"The suit," she says making me smile.

"It's here," I ask and she nods eagerly.

"We'll go look at it in a second," I say and she smiles.

"Hey," Henry says walking to me.

"Hey, Henry," I say with a smile as I hug him.

"Willow and I are going to head out. Do you need anything?" My brother asks.

"I got this little one back in my arms, so I'm good," I say as I look at Alaina.

"Alright, bye Rin. Bye Alaina."

"Bye Uncle Heny," my daughter says making me smile.

"Now, why don't we go see that suit?" I ask Alaina as I lock the front door and walk to my room.

Alaina claps as we walk towards the room. "Look," Alaina says pointing at the bed where the suit lays.

I place Alaina on the bed and grab the suit then put it on.

A few weeks later

"How do I look?" I ask Alaina as she sits on the bed.

"Beautiful!" She shouts making a big smile grow on my face.

"Thanks Lanie," I say as I kiss the top of her head.

It is a few days after Christmas and the day of Krashlyn's wedding. For Christmas Alaina, Henry, Willow, and I went up to New Jersey to spend time with our families.

The doorbell rings and Alaina jumps off the bed. "Housekeeping!" I hear Henry shout from outside as I follow Alaina.

"You not housekeeping," Alaina says as I open the door making Henry and I laugh.

"That is very true," he says picking up Alaina and spinning her around making me laugh.

"Alright, I need to go," I say as I grab my phone and wallet.

"Wait," Alaina says as I walk towards her and Henry.

Alaina reaches her arms out to me and I take her out of Henry's arms and hold her. "I love you," Alaina says making me heart swell.
