A New World. (Herobrine x Reader)

I sat on the roof, it was raining so I couldn't sit on the hill top. " it's raining, you might get sick." I jumped at the voice, "oh, hello Herobrine. How have you been?" He made his way closer before sitting down next to me, "I've been fine, you?" I shrugged, "I fell into a hole with a skeleton named Ren and they were nice." His eyes flickered brighter in surprise, "did they hurt you?" I shook my head, thunder rolled and it rumbled through the ground.

"What's it like being the ruler of a whole realm?" He furrowed the caterpillars that rest above his eyes, "It's.... Difficult at times, it was especially difficult when I first started out- I'll get into it some other time." I had a jolt of shock roll through me,

So that's who I saw getting crowned.

"So, what's it like being the first spawn in over a hundred years?" I froze, "A HUNDRED YEARS?! I could live for that long?" Herobrine chuckled at me, and I got chills up my spine,

Holy fuck. The rumbles!

"Well technically one spawn lived almost four hundred years but they were an idiot and died trying to fight Libelle." Thunder rolled and crashed, I jumped and scootched closer to Herobrine, "are you scared of the thunder?" He let out a quiet chuckle, "NO, I'm just not used to it! I've only been alive for a couple of weeks." I crossed my arms with a huff.

"Would you like to know about a spawns aging rate?" My mood flipped and I looked at him with wide curious eyes, "yes please."

"Physically, spawns don't age. You look early to mid twenties, you will look like that for the rest of your life, but where your body doesn't age, your knowledge grows and you gain wisdom from experiences that many others have never had the chance to." I patted his arm,

"what about respawning?" He tilts his head before his face lights up, "With respawning you can't just be killed by normal means, you could be potioned, stabbed, blown up, kicked into the void, it doesn't matter. You would still respawn. The only way to come back though is to have a tether to this word, no tether no respawn." I scratched my arm, "what counts as a tether?"

He arched his brow, "you really don't know?" I shook my head, "well, you have one in your house right now." I gasp, "really! What is it?" I playfully shake his arm, "it's your bed, ya doof. Beds are the easiest tether to get, another one is one from my realm, it's called a respawn anchor, very on the nose if you ask me. But it's a lot more expensive to get and can only be used in the nether."

I sit in awe while trying to process all the information, "soooo, I'm technically immortal?" He gives me a pure 'the fuck, man?' look and I giggle. I stand up and pull a stupid pose, "I'M A GOD! tremble before me puny mortals!" A sheep baa's from the pen, "well Mx god, get inside or I'll drag you." Lee pops in out of nowhere, "why should I listen to you?" Lee sighs along with Herobrine, "I have food." I drop down off the roof faster than they could register it, "well why didn't you just say so, you know I'm food motivated!"

The two men in my life sigh at my weirdness before Herobrine sends Lee a smile then bloops away. Lee soon joins me at the table, "you've been talking with his majesty a lot lately." I nodded before taking a bite of the food. I don't know what it is but I do know it's good.

"Do you wanna hunt down slimes one of these days?" I paused, "wouldn't that be bad?" Lee shrugged, "I mean, they don't have brains and they'll attack you anyways." I narrow my eyes, "they're his subjects, but they're really just goop, plus the small ones are harmless."

"Can we get a pet slime?"
"No. Maybe a wolf though."
