Y/n POV:
Ding, dong
Ding, dong
Ding, dong
Ding, dong
I hear the lunch bell ring, ending the lecture we were receiving from the teacher about thermodynamics. I look to my left and I see Uenoyama standing up out of his desk.
'I see he's going to the stairwell too' I think while watching him walk out the door.
I quickly stand up and grab my bento, following Uenoyama down the hall. I stay a safe distance away, hoping he won't notice me following him. Luckily for me, he doesn't.
'Heh, I'm a ninja, you'll never see me coming' I sarcastically thought, almost making laugh out loud. What can I say, I'm the funniest person I know, followed by Hiroshi. Uenoyama makes it third, his reactions are the best, though I've never seen him joke before.
'Before I die, I better hear him make a joke. That will be my new life goal.'
My thoughts must be loud, because he suddenly turns around, glaring at me. I freeze, not knowing what to do now that I've been caught. Awkwardly, I start putting up some finger guns, aiming them at Uenoyama. He just looks at me blankly. Sighing, he begins to talk.
"Come on, I'm not waiting all day," he says catching me off guard.
I stand there, a bit confused.
'I thought for sure he'd shoo me away'
Not hesitating anymore, I quickly run to catch up, not wanting to be left behind. He turns back and continues walking to the gym. An awkward silence falls between us, broken occasionally by the random person questioning what we are doing together.
Soon we approach the gym, still not speaking a word to each other. As we walk past the other students playing basketball, I sneak a glance at the black-haired boy next to me. His face remains as stoic as ever
'I wonder what he's thinking about,' I wonder as we reach the stairwell doors.
Uenoyama POV:
'I guess I almost cried when I first broke a string, too,' I think, mind on the salmon-haired boy. 'Because I'd thought I'd broken my guitar...'
I open the stairwell doors, immediately looking at the platform. Just as I expected, he was sitting there, slowly moving his head back and forth, in an attempt to stay awake.
'So we meet again, Guy I'm Tentatviely Calling "Teach-Me-Guitar-Dude",' I think while looking at him, completely forgetting about the other stranger standing next to me. 'I'm not doing it, I'm not doing it, you hear?'
I walk up the stairs, ending up in front of him. I place my hand on his hair and lightly rub his head.
"Hey," I say, trying to shake him out of his trance, successfully working.
'And I'm going to defend my napping spot to death!' I think with a smug look on my face.
Y/n POV:
As Uenoyama ruffles Mafuyu's hair, he begins to wake up. Once he raises his head to see who touched him, a smile came to his face.
"Uenoyama-kun," he said, causing Uenoyama to freeze. I couldn't see his face, but I knew he was in shock.
'Cute' was the only thought running through my head. I can feel the heat rise to my cheeks and I put my free hand over them, attempting to cover them. Mafuyu looks past Uenoyama and sees me in my flustered state.
"Y/n-chan," he says cutely again, making the pink in my cheeks turn red. Uenoyama finally acknowledges my presence and turns to face me, making me even more flustered.
'Why do they both have to be attractive?' I think, still embarrassed.
"Thank you for your help yesterday," Mafuyu continued, turning back to Uenoyama.
"Uh, sure..." he responds, putting his attention back on Mafuyu.
Calming myself down, I walk up the stairs, still listening to their conversation.
Mafuyu pulls out a 1000-yen bill, saying, "Here, this is to thank you."
Uenoyama takes the bill, looking at it attentively, as I finish climbing the stairs and sit in the same spot as yesterday.
"Uenoyama-kun," Mafuyu says again, bringing both Uenoyama's and my attention off the money. "Please teach me how to play guitar," he asks while holding out another 1000-yen bill. I quickly avert my eyes, blocking them from the light that seems to be coming of it.
"No, I don't need your money," Uenoyama says, rejecting the money.
'You might not, but my broke-ass does,' I think, crying crocodile tears.
"In that case..." Mafuyu says, continuing his attempts to hire the black-haired boy as a guitar teacher and grabbing something out of his guitar case. "Take this," he continues, pulling out a yakisoba bread. Seeing the food, my mouth begins to water. I quickly open my lunch box and start eating my bento.
"Look..." Uenoyama said, slightly sweat-dropping at the boy's actions. "You can try to win me over with money or bread, but I've never taught anyone how to play guitar. Just look up how to play. Or, y'know, you could join the light music club. Try to form a band with their members." he finishes laying down on the platform, slightly waving his hand in the air, still a good distance away from me.
"A band?" Mafuyu questions, making me sweat-drop.
'Oooo, you still got a long way to go my friend,' I think, slightly shaking my head.
Uenoyama quickly sat up and raised his voice saying, "I need to explain that too?! What the hell is wrong with you? You carry a guitar around knowing nothing about it?"
"Oi, don't say that!" I say, suddenly speaking up. No one insults my friends while I'm around.
Unfortunately, the words already impact Mafuyu, making him slightly slouch and put on a sad face. Uenoyama sees this and already begins to feel guilty, making me not give him my hard glare, seeing he already knows what he did wrong.
"Hey..." he says, slightly reaching out his arm. "Hey, don't get all depressed," he says in an attempt to make Mafuyu feel better. Spoiler alert! It don't.
Uenoyama turns to face forward again, allowing me to see his sweat drop, and rubs the back of his head, obviously trying to find a way to fix the situation. He lays down again, facing away from Mafuyu.
"I didn't say it was a bad thing..." he says, still laying down.
'Smooth fix there, buddy.'
"Really?" Mafuyu asks, questioning him. After no response, he leans over and starts to shake Uenoyama. "Uenoyama-kun," he says, trying to get the other's attention.
"What?" Uenoyama responds, sounding tired.
Mafuyu pauses a minute, making me believe that he is thinking through his words.
"Please teach me how to play guitar," he said, very straight-forward. I cover my mouth in an attempt the laughs from being heard.
-------
I look at the clock in the classroom, trying to find out the time.
'2:45. 5 minutes 'til the bell.'
I take out my phone and look through my notifications, knowing the teacher no longer cares about us and is counting down the seconds until he doesn't have to see our faces anymore.
I see that Mafuyu has messaged me. I quickly open the chat, seeing what he sent me.
Mafuyu
Join me after school?

And with that, the bell rings. I see Uenoyama quickly get up, walk to the door, and hastily look left and right as if on the look-out for someone, gaining a few looks from our classmates. Of course, I know who he's looking for, silently laughing.
'Oh, if he knew I was providing his stalker, Mafuyu, information, I'd be dead,' I think as he rushes out. Not wanting to be left behind, I grab my stuff and follow him, looking forward to his face when he finds out not only one person is stalking him, but two.
And with it, I conclude this chapter. For some reason, I've been getting a feeling like my writing is getting really bad and rushed. If that's the case please tell me. Even though I've got to study for a test tomorrow, I still may update cause I'm really looking forward to writing the next chapter.
Also when I say Uenoyamas shocked face I mean...
