Minor Sickness

"Now then, there are two possible actions I could take." Illuso was really enjoying the moment, "The first is disposing of Giorno after I get the key. The second is slitting Giorno's throat first, then safely retrieving the key. Let's see... what do you think (Y/N)? What should I do?" He barely even paused, not giving you the chance to speak if you had even wanted to, "That's exactly what I was thinking! I'll slit Giorno's throat first!" He held the mirror shard in one hand, "There, now he's noticed me. And I'll allow only Giorno to enter!"

You were dropped by Man in the Mirror so the Stand could do it's job of pulling in Giorno. The donut haired man gasped, and Illuso continued with his business, "I've dragged him in! Slice open his throat, Man in the Mirror!" The Stand brought up the mirror shard to Giorno's neck. However, small bumps that had formed on Giorno's hand burst open, releasing a purple fog. "Wh-What?! H-He's... that's impossible! It's the virus! G-Giorno... He's been infected by Fugo's Purple Haze!"

"You're not getting that key!" Announced Giorno himself. "And Fugo, Abbacchio, (Y/N), and I... we'll all safely return to the others!"

Abbacchio started to try and crawl towards Giorno, still leaking blood from his handless wrist. Giorno seemed to know what he was doing, and you had Dio on the other side who you expected to at least work along with whatever the plan was between them. So you moved over to the purple haired man's side.

"Oh my god... you're losing a lot of blood." You shook your head, "I mean, I understand why you did it... but you need to care about yourself more." Not like you were really one to talk.

Abbacchio gave a low grunt, "What does it matter? I don't feel anything anymore, anyway. The mission is most important." You frantically rummaged through your pockets for your blade and then angled it toward your free hand. Realizing you were going to try and cut yourself, the Moody Blues hand smacked the knife out of your grasp, "What are you doing, (Y/N)?!"

"I'm helping you!" You picked the blade back up and then lowered your voice so Illuso wouldn't hear. You really didn't want info about you to spread within the mafia world. "I can use my blood to close off your wound." You dug the sharp object into your skin, and unlike Abbacchio, your pain receptors worked just fine. You held his wounded arm steady with one hand as your blood spilt out from the palm of the other hand.

Much to Abbacchio's disbelief, the bleeding of his wound did stop, almost like a cap and been placed on top of the stump. You couldn't really reattach his hand in a way that would make it functional again, so this would do for now. "Is this also because of your Stand's abilities?"

"Yeah, sure." You mumbled. Abbacchio looked at your hands, now stained with his blood as well as your own. He thought about asking if you were okay, but decided against it. You had moved your attention to Giorno, worried about his practically evaporating skin, even if you trusted that he had a plan.

"How dare you come in here infected?!" Screeched Illuso. "Are you out of your damn mind?!" Bumps started to form on his own hand, "Now I'm infected, damn it!"

"Ah, yes. You do seem to be experiencing the same symptoms as me." Giorno spoke as if the current subject of conversation was merely the common cold. "Apparently Purple Haze's virus infects your whole body within thirty seconds. It's over now. It was over as soon as you dragged me in."

"Damn it! Of all the underhanded..." He looked at you for a second, as if thinking you'd help him now of all times, but your cold stare told him it wouldn't be the case. So he turned to a mirror shard instead, "But don't underestimate me. I need more resolve, but it's not too late yet!" He jumped in the air, "Man in the Mirror! Allow only me to leave this mirror!" His body began to be sucked through to the real world, "But don't allow the virus! The part of me that's infected is not allowed to leave!"

"That's not good!" Shouted Fugo, who had since risen from his light slumber, "If he gets outside, the virus will be separated from him!"

"Abbacchio lopped off his own hand to get the key. So I, Illuso, c-can do the same thing! This is nothing!" Sure enough, the only thing left behind by him was the flesh of his hand and some blood that all splattered onto the ground.

"He got away." Fugo sounded defeated, as if all hope was lost. "Giorno... even after you risked your life to come in here..."

"So he went outside." Giorno looked at the mirror piece Illuso had hopped through, "We figured he'd go outside. That's for the best, though. He's going down, no matter what. Now that he's stepped outside, there's a chance I might survive!" A brick started scooting along the ground past Giorno, "(Y/N), I need you to move closer to the brick in order for this to work better. I need my da-" He cleared his throat and corrected himself, "I need your Stand to be closer to Illuso to attack effectively."

So you followed behind the brick, sensing Dio taking his own steps a few feet ahead of you. As it came to a stop, you felt a strange sensation around your fingers. What the hell was Dio doing?

"Well, it certainly wasn't the safest plan, but my Giorno did such a great job coming up with it. Aren't you proud of him? I certainly am." Dio'd fingers were digging into Illuso's neck. "He's really going places, don't you think?"

"What?!" Choked out Illuso, trying to get the fingers out of his neck, "A-After I built up the resolve to chop off my own arm and come out here... This... this can't..."

Dio slammed Illuso's body against a wall, "You think I give a shit about your resolve? Don't make me laugh." The vampire leaned his face real close as he slowly began to drain the man of his blood, something Dio hadn't done in a long while. He'd be careful to not actually turn the man into a zombie or something, though.

"S-Stop it! Stop! Damn it!" Illuso desperately tried to thrash around out of the Brando's hold as he felt his life literally being drained away.

Dio sighed, "Listen, I know that my (Y/N) might have made a little deal with your group or whatever, but I really couldn't care less about it. She can deal with it later if she wants to. Although," The vampire tightened his grip a bit more, "If you beg I might be more inclined to consider letting you go."

Illuso didn't have to be told twice, "P-Please! I promise that I won't-"

Dio used his free hand to slam the man's head against the wall, "Not good enough. Try again."

"Please!" Illuso was practically cry at this point, "I-I'll do anything!"

Dio raised an eyebrow, "Anything?" And the La Squadra member nodded his head vigorously, "Then die, you bastard." The vampire took the chance to enjoy Illuso's face paling in terror before he ripped his hand out the man's throat and bashed his head into the wall with a, "Muda!"

Illuso's lifeless body slumped to the ground, his blood smearing against the wall as it did so. Dio licked some of the crimson liquid from his hand before immediately spitting it out, "Ugh. It tastes like dog shit." He nudged the dead man with his foot, "You better fucking hope the antidote from the snake actually works on my son." Then he wiped off the remaining blood on his hands on Illuso's clothes. With the enemy Stand user dead, the mirror world faded away, returning everyone to the normal world.

Fugo's purple eyes widened, looking first to the trash can and then his watch. "W-We did it! We're outside the mirror! We defeated him so his ability disappeared!" Then he gasped and turned around, "B-But Giorno... the virus had already spread throughout your body. Once you've been infected, even I can't do anything about it."

Abbacchio stood up while grabbing his severed hand off the ground. "(Y/N), can your Stand abilities do something about that, too?"

"No, it can't." But you looked at Dio anyway. Surely he wouldn't have gone along with a plan that caused his son to die.

Dio picked up a brick-snake looking thing and held it out to his son. "This all you need, right?"

"Yes, thank you." Giorno started to explain to everyone else, "I created this snake from the brick where Purple Haze's capsule was broken. Since it was born from a place that was covered with the virus, it won't get sick. Do you know what that means?"

Fugo gasped, "That snake has immunity! And if we take blood or cells from something with immunity..."

"Yeah, yeah. We can make an antidote." The snake coiled around Dio's arm, "Now hurry up. The last thing I need is you dying on me."

"Golden Experience!" Called out Giorno, "Extract the serum from this snake and inject it into me!" The Stand stabbed its finger into the snake and then jabbed the same finger into Giorno's chest. He screamed, falling back onto the ground and writhing around in agony.

"G-Giorno!" Dio bent down at his son's side, "Are you alright?"

The donut haired man grabbed onto Dio's shoulder for support as he stood back up, "Y-Yeah..."

"Giorno, you have my utmost respect after risking your life!" Declared Fugo.

"No, Fugo. I'm not the one who risked my life here. I just made a prediction and followed through." The bumps on his arm from the virus started to dissipate, "The one who truly risked his life... was Abbacchio. He's the one who risked his life to get the key... if he hadn't been able to pass on the key to (Y/N) who brought it to me, we couldn't have defeated the enemy. So you should worry more about him than I." Giorno started to sway before passing out while still being held up by Dio.

"You crazy bastard." Grumbled Abbacchio. "(Y/N) already stopped the bleeding for me. I was gonna beat the shit out of you, too, but I guess I can't with my hand like this." He looked away from the unconscious Giovanna, "I'll just have to do it later." Dio sat his son down against a wall, sending a glare directed Abbacchio's way.

You picked up the key from the ground. It seemed more like a key to a treasure chest than any sort of vehicle. "Well... mission complete."
