Moral of the story, it's hotter than Satians balls rn and I can't go to sleep so,,,

"Techno?" I shakily whispered. My eyes stayed glued to the floor. I didn't want anyone to see me in the state I was in. I felt weak, pathetic. I felt bad in general and the thought of someone seeing me like this didn't make me feel better.
It took Techno a second to register what was going on, but once the realization kicked in he knelt down and hugged me. It's like he understood I didn't want to face him directly.
"Shh, it's better now. You're away from the danger, I got you." He whispered trying his best to comfort me. I just continued crying into his shoulder with small hickups here and there.
Techno had draped his cape over me like a blanket covering us both. I was sitting facing the tree, but my head rested on his chest. Feeling the faint song of his heart beat and the rising and falling of his chest is what brought me back down to earth.
He continued to rub circles on my back while assuring me I was safe now and nothing could harm me.
After a while of Techno comforting me I was able to steady my breathing and had managed to stop crying. Techno took notice to this and brought it upon him to ask what happened.
"Can you talk?" I nodded "No, I want to hear you say it."
"Yes" I answered. My throat dry making my voice raspy.
"Okay now I'm going to ask you some questions, is that okay?"
"Yeah." I said my voice still sounding weird. (This next bit is a grounding technique I use when I have a panic attack. 100% recommend.)
"What's your name?"
"Y/n Schlatt."
"How old are you?"
"Twenty one."
"What's your favorite color?"
"(Insert f)c)."
"Think of a word that starts with the letter "R".
"(Insert word with the letter R here)." I had started to calm down.
"Okay, now how do you feel?"
"Much better." I said slight breaks in my breathing here and there.
"Do you think you can tell me what happened?" He asked still very aware I was in a fragile state.
I took in a deep breath and explained my dad and I got into a nasty argument. Not the complete truth, but not an absolute lie.
"It's fine now," he said fixing the cape around me. " Just try to relax and all will be alright." And so I did just that.
Yeah my bed was comfortable, but the arms of a person who was a stranger were the ones to beat.
