3rd pov
It has been days after meeting with the Thin Man. (Y/N) kept visiting him through her dreams and talk to him. The two grew closer as they ask each other questions. During the day, (Y/N) would tell Chip and Ted the conversation she had with the Thin Man and the things they did. Both nomes gained more interested every time she describes him. Chip was fascinated hearing them, and so did Ted. He was relieved that the Thin Man didn't harm his friend and slowly trusted him. The Thin Man was in fact happy to meet (Y/N). He still doesn't recall how she ended up in the city, but he's glad she's willing to stick by his side.
One time while roaming through the city, (Y/N), Ted, and Chip found a television that is turned on inside a building. Remembering what the Thin Man told her, she went towards the television, causing the nomes to jump at her action. The two of them began to tug the girl's cape to stop her from going towards it. She stops her tracks and looks at them, understanding what they're trying to do. "It's okay, Thin Man told me it's fine," she claimed. She looks back to the television with a small hesitation. She doesn't know if she should do it and trust Thin Man. She gulped, "But if I stare at it for too long, I want you guys to pull me away..."
She walked towards the tv with her eyes closed. When she stopped few feet away, she opened her eyes, blinded by the bright light through the screen. The screen showed nothing but noise and static sounds. She pulled down her hood and smiled as she slowly waving at the screen, knowing the Thin Man watching through it. The man indeed saw it. He let out a small gasp and felt a sudden warmth throughout his body when he saw her smile. He smiled, waving back through the screen. Then he saw a nome with a paper boat on its head ran towards the girl and hid behind her as the other nome with the purple bow went beside her. He remembered (Y/N) talking about them. 'So, that's Ted and Chip,' he thought. The girl whispered something to the two and Chip shyly waved to the screen along with Ted. The man chuckled.
A few seconds later, Ted pulls (Y/N)'s cape and gained her attention. He began to do sign language when the (h/c) girl looked at him. She looked away and answered the nome's question. "You're right, we should continue to scavenge around the building... But I feel like staying here." Ted crossed his arms and tried pushing (Y/N) away from the television. The girl snickered and continued teasing him. "Oh no, gravity is increasing on me." She fell backward towards Ted, causing him to carry her back. Chip could only watch in amusement as the nome with the purple bow tried his best to carry her weight. In the end, he failed and ended up getting squashed below her. Ted tried to wiggle his way out and called Chip for help. Chip pulled him out from (Y/N)'s body and both pulled her up as she laughed. Ted began to push her away from the television to proceed with their scavenge when she stood up. The girl waved to the screen again, "Bye-bye Thin Man, see you later!" she giggled. Thin Man, who watched the whole scene, chuckled and watched the girl being pushed away by Ted. Chip waved goodbye to the screen and followed behind them.
The time came and (Y/N) is once again visited the Thin Man through her dreams again. They're in the same room as before, talking to one another. The two have grown closer and learned to trust each other. The (s/c) girl was in the middle of her story of the journey she had with the nomes before she visits the Thin Man
"We found a barbershop while walking around and decided to go check it out. It turns out a barber was inside the building and chased us around. He has this pair of huge scissors that's about his size and nearly snips my head off, and I thought I was a goner," she sighed. The Thin Man looked at her in concern, "So what happened next?" he asked. The girl continued, "Long story short. After running from him twice, I tripped and the Barber got me. He tied me up on the chair and left the room. Luckily, Ted and Chip untied me while the Barber was distracted. A few moments later, the Barber caught us and we ran for our lives." The Thin Man grew interested in her story. "What happened to the Barber? How did you all escape?" he asked. (Y/N) answered. "While running, me and Ted had the same idea and we sprayed the Barber's eyes with his hairspray. He fell backward and yell in pain. While he's on the floor, we ran out of the building before he can get up and see again." The man winced when he heard what they did to the Barber. "Ouch, that's gotta hurt," he says. (Y/N) chuckled, "Yeah, he really did get hurt." She looks down with a small facial of guilt showing. "To be honest, I felt bad doing that. But he deserves it for tying me up on a chair."
The Thin Man looked down on her with a frown and patted her head. "There is no reason to be feeling guilty, little one. You did what you have to do to keep yourself and your friends safe from danger," the man continued, "And you are certainly correct about him deserving that. Who knows what he'll do to you if you didn't escape?" The girl huffed and began to rub her metal cuff attached to her left wrist. "I supposed you're right. I'm glad that me and the nomes escaped from him in one piece."
The tall man nodded at her response with a small smile. It soon faded when he saw (Y/N) rubbing her cuffed wrist. He has noticed the metal cuff before but never thought much about it. Seeing it now makes him worried and curious about how she got it. He cleared his throat. "I have just noticed and wondered; how did you get that metal cuff on your wrist?" he asked.
The (h/c) girl jumped on her spot with her eyes widened big like saucers. Memories from the Maw began to flood through her mind; How she was caged and escaped, the horrible things she saw and discovered, a new friend she has lost. She started to breathe heavily as sweats rolling down her head. The man saw her reaction and panicked. "I-I am so so so sorry. Please- Please calm down, you don't- you don't have to tell me, please," he gulped. (Y/N) slowly calmed and spoke. "No..." she breathed, "I... I've been meaning to tell you this before, but I didn't dare to do so... But now..." She looked upwards towards the man, "I think this is a good time to tell you how we got here in Pale City in the first place." Thin Man could only stare at her. Her tone and her eyes shown serious, yet he can feel her trembling a little. He nodded, signaling her he's ready to hear her story.
(Y/N) sighed, "It all started the day I woke up in a cage..."
She explained everything that she experienced and witnessed in the Maw. The Thin Man's hands gripped as he felt his blood ran cold. How could a place like that exist? He felt pity for what she experienced and witnessed. Not only that, the poor children who were trapped alongside her and some have lost their lives. The name of the place seemed to be ringing the bell for the Thin Man. He must've seen an advertisement somewhere around Pale City before. And the nomes, maybe that's where they all come from. But how did one get into the Hunter's attic?
His thoughts were interrupted when the girl continued. "Then we all stumbled upon a television that was on. The noise felt like it was calling me and there showed a silhouette of a man, that looked just like you..." The man froze on his spot as his body tense with his eyes widened. "When I touched the screen, my hands absorbed through the screen and got sucked in along with Ted and Chip," (Y/N) added. Thin Man sent a silent gasp and spoke, feeling his throat dry. "Then what happened?" he questioned. (Y/N) explained, "The three of us were floating towards something. Then out of nowhere I saw this huge eye, just like the one in my dreams I've told you before! It was terrifying! A few seconds later, we crashed through a television screen, and well... we ended up here in Pale City."
The Thin Man was speechless. Not only he was in shock but guilt. He knew he was the reason why she's in the city with her nome companions. He was looking through television screens that were far beyond the city, which he found himself looking through the television that's in the same room with (Y/N). He didn't remember seeing her there but knew that his vision was hazy due to exhaustion. The farther the television is, the more stamina he uses. He collapsed afterward, accidentally used his powers towards the screen where the girl placed her hands.
The girl on his lap sat silently with her head down, not knowing what else to say. All of the sudden, she feels the man's body shaken. She looked up to see the Thin Man, crying. "Thin Man!?!" she gasped out loud, "What's wrong? Why are you crying?"
"I'm sorry," he sniffled, "It was me. I'm the reason why you got here in the first place..." The girl's (e/c) eyes widened. "Wh-what?" she exclaimed. The man explained, "I was in a search for... *sniff* something, that is when I stumbled upon the television you saw. I must have lost control with my powers that lead you to get sucked into the screen when you touched it. I am so, so sorry. I didn't mean to get you here..."
(Y/N) was lost for words as she listens to the man's sob. She knew that he felt guilty and she was saddened by it. She carefully crawled her way towards his chest and hugged him. The Thin Man stopped and stared down at her, surprised by her actions. "Please don't feel bad Thin Man. I know you didn't mean to, accidents always happened. Besides, I'm actually glad you brought me here with the nomes," she spoke in her soothing voice.
The man with the fedora was stunned. He carefully placed her on his shaking hands and lifted her towards his face. "R-Really?" he stuttered. (Y/N) nodded, "If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be here and properly meet Ted and Chip. Also, I wouldn't have met and befriended you. You would still be alone if I didn't get teleported here, and I don't want that. Plus, staying in this city is way safer and better than at the Maw." The Thin Man began tearing. He was touched by her words. He's glad to have someone like you with him. The girl put her hands on his face, wiping his tears. "Thank you," he whispered, "I'm happy that I met you." (Y/N) smiled softly, "I'm happy that I met you too."
The (h/c) girl hugged the man's face as he closed his eyes from her warmth. They stayed like that for few minutes until he set her down on his lap. The girl looked up to see his head down with a serious expression. "Thin Man?" she asked. He mumbled, "...Mono..." (Y/N) looked at him confusingly. "What?" she puzzled. He looked at her into her eyes, with a determination within his. "My real name is Mono... And now, I want to tell you about my past and how I'm trapped here in this signal tower."

(Y/N) gasped out loud and jolted forward. She felt a small migraine and rubbed her temples. For a few moments, she has realized something... She forgot about something; something important, something that was meant for her to remember. The more she tried to remember, the bigger her migraine gets. Whenever she tries to recollect her memories, the only thing she remembered was an eye staring at her.
She felt the mattress shifted as Ted gets up and stretched his arms out. He looked at her to see the girl looking down on with her hands massaging her head. He clapped his hands to gain her attention. (Y/N) heard the clap and turned her head towards Ted. Ted looked at her worryingly. 'Is something wrong? What happened?' he asked. (Y/N) could only stare at him for a few seconds then looked down again. Ted shifted his head in confusion. Then the girl spoke,
"I... I don't know... I can't remember what happened..."
WOOOOOOOOOOOO FINALLY AN UPDATE! I apologize for the lack of update, everyone. I've been quite busy for the past few weeks with school and stuff around the house. I worked on this chapter little by little for a few days and now I finally have a chance to finish it!
Anyways, I hope you enjoy this chapter, and have a great day/night! Stay safe!
Fun Fact: There was a chance that (Y/N) can free Seven on her own and join him without distracting the janitor. Although, she wouldn't have met Chip and Ted and also teleported to Pale City if she did. Distracting the janitor is the best option in order to save EVERYONE from the loop, including Seven himself.
