The next morning, I woke up and made breakfast for Lucy and Edmund. "Hey, Ed! Since you have work today, I just wanted to tell you I'm going out," I asked while we ate. "Of course, love... Just make sure you're careful," he said.
After we got ready, I went to the location Diego told me to come to. "Hey bitches," I yelled, walking into the building. "Doll, you're here," said Diego, climbing down the stairs and hugging me. "Of course I am Buck," I said. "Sooo, new boyfriend, huh? Well, if he doesn't treat you like the princess you are, I am going to end him. Feel bad for Five though," said Diego. "Yes, Buck, I have a new boyfriend. Why do you feel bad for Five though?" I asked. Diego shrugged, so we proceeded to climb up the stairs, probably to meet the rest of the group.
"Hey, Five. Hi Virgin Boy... well, not anymore," I said when I saw them. "Hey P/T/O/E," said Five. "Hi, devil child," said Luther while making some very disgusting-looking eggs. "Oh god, stop it, Luther. Let me handle it," I said, taking the pan for him. "You guys should have told me, I could have gotten some food," I grumbled while trying to fix up food. "Continue your discussion," I told the other three. "As I was saying, those Dutch sociopaths keep following me," said Diego. "They're Swedish, you idiot," Five and I said at the same time. Five chuckled a little before saying, "They are hired guns, paid to eradicate us before we do any more damage to this timeline." "Yeah, but why now? I mean, I'm fine for 3 months until you showed up," said Diego angrily. "Yeah, I was here for a year and no one messed with me," said Luther. "It's not Five's fault," I said, trying to defend him. "Thanks, P/T/O/E. Anyway, we only have 6 days before the end of the world, and the closest anyone's gotten to dad was that driveway at the consulate," said Five. "The world is ending? Again? Can't we just get a break?" I groaned. "Yes, it's happening again. Anyway, Five, that's not exactly true," said Luther. He then proceeded to tell the story of how he met his dad again. "That's pathetic," said Diego, making me smack him for his rudeness. I then poured out the scrambled eggs onto a plate and handed one to the three boys. I started making coffee.
"Yeah, well, at least he didn't shank my ass," said Luther, making me turn to Diego in shock. "Shit, Buck... are you okay? Show me your wound," I said, walking up to him. "I'm fine, doll, I swear," said Diego. I shook my head and got out some medical supplies from the kitchen cabinet. Diego sighed and pulled up his shirt, and I got to work cleaning and re-dressing his wound. When I was done, I went to place the medical supplies back. Suddenly, I slipped. I braced to fall flat on the ground but didn't. I opened my eyes to see Five supporting my upper body. "Falling for me, are we," said Five while smirking, making me blush profusely while straightening up. I smiled at him in gratitude. He smiled back and leaned against the kitchen platform next to me. I placed my head on his shoulder and he wrapped his arm around my shoulders. "Anyway, bro, dad shanked your heart," said Diego once he had ensured I was okay. "Is that my bathrobe," asked a dude I didn't know. "Oh hi, my name is Elliot," he said, holding his hand out. I shook it and said, "Nice to meet you, Elliot. Please, call me Y/N."
"Look, who cares what he shanked? He knows something about time travel," asked Five, turning attention back to the matter at hand. "Wait, why don't you just do your thing and time travel us out," asked Elliot hesitatingly. "Anyone care to explain," asked Five, covering his face with his hand in annoyance. "First time he tried, he got lost in the apocalypse," started Luther. "Second time he tried, he ended up in schoolboy shorts. Which are cute, but far from what he wants," I continued while pouring the coffee and handing it to Five. "Last time he tried, he scattered his family across three years in Dallas, Texas, possibly triggering doomsday," finished Diego. "Any more questions, Elliot," asked Five irritatedly. "I'm so sorry about him, Elliot. He has always been like this. That was a good question. And thank you for your hospitality," I said, shaking my head a little at Five's attitude. "Oh, it's nothing," said Elliot. "You're missing the big picture. Dad is the ringleader of a sinister cabal that's planning to kill the president," said Diego, making my jaw drop in shock. "Oh fuck! Seriously? What's up with this family? And what do you mean by a cabal," I asked. "Ignore him," said Five.
"Look, the way I see it, we only have one option. It's time to get the Umbrella Academy back together," said Five, his words leaving behind a heavy silence.
