You watched the door with lowered ears and a pout as Asher watched you.
"Well, this is a complete 180 personality shift compared to yesturday."
"Yeah, whats the matter Y/n? Didn't you like going to the Zoo?" Asher and Rocky questioned.
"Alex isn't here yet...D-Do you think they're really mad at me?"
"What? Why would they be mad?"
"I-I ripped their scarf and it seemed really important to them and I dunno! They had this look in their eye! They said they were fine with it and they weren't mad but they look mad! And sad!"
Asher and Ethan exchanged a look before Ethan layed his head on the desk with a solemn look.
"Its...a bit complicated. But I'm sure they're fine. Alex is usually straight-foreward about how she feels. Sometimes...They'd tell you if what you did upset them or not. Okay? Take my word for it."
With a sigh you nodded before the doors opened.
"Late again, I see?" Miss. Melony chuckled.
"Yes Ma'am. Sorry. I missed the bus and had to walk here."
"Its okay. Your just in time for class anyway. But maybe try setting an alarm next time?"
"Ehehe...Yeah, I'll do that." Alex nodded.
They went to take a seat next to you not exactly looking you in the eye.
"Uhm...Good Morning!" You called out with nervous sweat.
"Hm? Oh! Morning Wolfy." Alex smiled with a wave. You were a bit shocked.
Alex actually seemed...Fine? I guess? But they weren't wearing their scarf today.
"Hey...A-Alex? Are you mad at me?"
"Mad? Why would I be mad?"
"Your...Scarf. I ripped it, remember? I went to get it even though you told me to wait. I wanted to get something even though it could've floated farther away. And now your not even wearing it today. Are you mad?"
"Ohhh. That thing. Okay, first off! Stop blaming yourself. Anything could've happened. I'm almost positive that it would've gotten ripped no matter what happened. And I'm no thay mad about it anyway. Its just a scarf. I can always get another." Alex shrugged.
You stared at them, not liking the way they said that.
It seemed a little forced.

"Now shush. We need to pay attention to class." Alex smirked, pinching your werewolf ear in a playful manner.
You winced and pouted making them chuckle before turning back to Miss. Melony.
You kept staring at them in class as their words played in your head.

"Whoa. Hates a strong word Y/n. We discussed this this." Aaron chuckled, patting your head before grabbing your hand.
"And you forget you used to lie too." Aphmau reminded.
"About these cute little things." She smiled, rubbing the shell of your werewolf ears she held back a squeal when they flapped with a twitch.
"Y-Yeah but I lied to protect myself. I didn't want to get kicked out or bullied."
"Maybe this...Alex...is lying to protect themselves too. Did you ever think of that?"
You were about to retort before placing your fingers on your chin allowing Aarons words to sink in.
"I'll think about it. Ahh...Its fine. I'm not here to worry about Alex right now. I'm ready to help on the new Café! Whatever you need, I'm your person of intrest!" You grinned.
"Got it." Aaron chuckled.
Once you three finally got to your location, Aaron stared at the building skeptically.
"So these are the Phoenix Property Brothers. Are you two sure their a good contact?"
"Of course! Well...They're my only contact. But still! Their more then capable to help us find a place to set up our Maid Café! We have old documents we need to open, now we just need a place for it!"
"Wait, aren't these the guys who set us up in the house we were shoved into?"
"Yeah..But Aphmau said that happened because the rent was cheap!" You smiled.
"Thats right," One of the Pheonix brothers spoke, coming out of nowhere,
"And thats exactly what we're good at! Finding the home you love while making sure its all in your budget!"
"We'll leave you spooked at how good we are! We've had a 99.9% success rate in finding our customers homes their happy with!"
"What about the other..." You held but your fingers counting a bit, ".1%?"
"Uhhh..." The two murmured simultaneously.
"Yeah...We don't like to talk about that..." "That wasn't even a meme! Was it?" "I see...Well, we really should start looking!"
"Perfect! Follow us!" "How do you think this'll turn out?" You smiled, looking at at Aaron.
"Lets hope we find something Aph likes." He sighed.
You giggled as your tail wagged before following Aphmau and the brothers into the building.
"Check out this place!" The blonded brother spoke as Aphmau went further into the building.
You trailed behind her but yelped at the item in the corner.

"Ah! Skeleton!" Aphmau pointed.
"Is that a dead body!?" "Ahaha! No, No...Its just a skeleton we planted. It adds for dramatic effect!" "I'm scared..." "Me too..." You and Aphmau shivered.
"Malachi! You can'y keep doing that!" "Ehh...Sorry...I really have this thing for spooks..." Malachi sighed.
The next property seemed promising! Or so you had hoped. You stood next to Aaron holding his hand as Aphmau went inside inspect it.
"This place is sure to be a hit! There's plenty of room for--" "AHHHH!" You two heard Aphmau yelp.
Aaron scooped you up into his arm and ran inside to see what had happened.
You sqeaked and buried your head into Aarons shoulder when you saw Malachi on the floor, covered in blood, dead.
There was blood on the wall that wrote, 'Boo'! Aphmau was horrified while Aaron just stared at the body.
"Malachi! Seriously!?"
"I-I explain! This is paint! There was a bucket, and it spilled on me, and...I...Took advantage of the moment before she walked in..."
"Ugh...I knew it! Mrs. Aphmau, I am so sorry for his behavior. Again. my brother really has a thing for the paranormal. I've been trying to get him to stop doing it durning work but..."
"I-Its okay...Its a nice gimmick! I need to too...B-But a movie I recently watched spooked me and so... I'm really uppity about spooky things."
"Understandable. Let me help you up." Levin sighed, shifting his attention to his brother.
"M-Maybe we can try another place...?" "Certainly! This time without any... interruptions..." Levin spoke, glaring at Malachi who grumbled at his brother.
"You okay Y/n?" Aaron asked. "I-I'm fine! I wasn't scared at all." "Smooth at your stiff tail and tell me that again."

Now you guys were at the third establishment. It was big and echo-y (and smelt like fresh paint too!) You ran around the place with a smile before following Aohmau into one of the rooms.

The sight made Aphmau go pale as your eyes lit up. She let out a scream as Aaron and Levin ran in to see what was wrong, this time!
It was a huge spider to which you began to cuddle it.
Sophia and Nico told you about how harmless some spiders are but Logan told you not to believe them as they are a bit biased.

"Its...Gaint...Spider!" Aphmau trembled.
"Can we keep it!?" You smiled, wagging your tail. "You have a crab, a fish, and now you want a spider? No way. Besides, I'm not sure Aph can take living in the same house as that. Wait, is it even real...?" Aaron murmured to himself.
"Malachi, I swear I outta--"
"Hey guys! I'm back with the Coffee! Oh! And I got a milkshake for the little one!"
"EXPLAIN THIS GAINT SPIDER!"
"Levin..? That isn't a fake spider." Malachi informed.
Though he didn't seem all that fazed himself.
"Well...This place is a little underrated anyway...L-Lets go elsewhere!" Now matching the same face as Aphmau.
"Hello police? We're gonna need an exterminator...Fast!" "Whaaat!? But he's so cute! Isn't that right Mister. Crimson~" You crooned wagging your tail and laughing when he nuzzled closer to you.
"You named it!?" "Y/n! Get away from that thing!" Aaron scolded attempting to pry you away from the insect. "I like this kid." Malachi smirked.
The last one you three were taken too, seemed to the winner!
"Ohh! This place is perfect! The room! The kitchen!" Aphmau gawked.
You, on the other hand, were still feeling a bit salty about the spider so you weren't feeling as pumped up as your caretakers.
"Great! And there's no problems with this place...Or no problems CAUSED!"
"Hmph..."
"Now if you'll sign here, its yours!" "Aha! Great!" "By the way, if you don't mind me asking, how many employees do you have?"
"Uhm...Its just me and my friend Kawaii~Cha--" Aphmau jumped and looked down when she felt you tug at her shirt with a pout.
She was confused before rolling her eyes with a chuckle.
"Sorry. It's just me, my friend, and my daughter. But! We just put out an ad this week looking for more people! Kawaii~Chan is working on that right now so hopefully she's found a few leads!" Aphmau smiled.
"I'm almost positive she has found a dozen leads! Or a trillion!" You grinned.
"Think so huh?" "Heck yeah!"
You nodded, giving Aaron a thumbs up.
He stared before reciprocating with his own thumbs up making you laugh.
When you three arrived home, you discussed the progress you had made.
"Well, We have a place to set up! You think Kawaii~Chan had any luck today?"
"Hopefully. We've had that ad out for a week now since we started planning this and no luck. Maybe we just need more structure in the ad..."
"Like a theme?" You offered.
"Thats...Actually a good idea!" "Nice job Y/n." Aaron praised.

"Maid Cafés alone just doesn't work. It needs a theme! Like cosplay!" "Cosplays been done quite a bit..." "Yeah..."

"Why don't you take a moment to think about it. In the meamtime, lets go have some lunch! Sandwiches?"

"Aww...I wanted F/F..." You pouted. "We can have F/F for dinner." "Yay!" "But after lunch you need to work om homework. You have that family tree project, right? How's that coming along?"
"Fine! Just need to add a few more things and I'm done!" "Alright. Well, lets go inside then--"

You turned your heads to see Kawaii~Chan making her way towards you all in the distance.
"Hey Kawaii~Chan! How are things going with the applications?" "We got one applicant today!" You winced.
"Really? Oh thats woderful!" But she's fine with it.
"Maybe I overhyped her a bit too much."
"Hey. Somethings better then nothing." Aaron reminded.
"Uhm...Aphmau, I hope you don't mind but I asked them to come in today for an interveiw. If Aphmau~Senpai doesn't want to do it, thats okay! Kawaii~Chan can!"
"You made a good call Kawaii~Chan. So don't worry! I've got this!"
After talking for a bit longer, Kawaii~Chan mentions their folder is left on the table before bidding you three farewell.
"Later!" "Bye KC!" You waved, walking inside.
Though, you couldn't help but think you heard her squealing...About Aphmau and Aaron living together?

Aphmau and Aaron sat on the couch as sat next to them.
"Ugh...I'm nervous."

"Thanks you two. Its just...Thank you for helping I'm through all this."

"Well, I guess the stuff I learned from my family finally came in handy!"
"It sure has! Uhm...Aaron? Do you like the work you do now?" Aphmau questioned.
That caused you to look at Aaron instead of her.
"Uhh...Its...Y'know...A temp job. I'm okay working a security guard. It's not glamorous, but it's simple. And I like it."
"Its just...After learning about your family and their entertainment business...You don't ever think about bigger things?"
You had to pause and take a moment to think about it.
Come to think about it, Aarons family is crazy rich and high in power.

And when you two first met he didn't seem anything like Melissa who wears fancy clothes and is able to provide for herself.

"I do sometimes. Who doesn't? But as long as I'm doing what I love doing I'm happy. It doesn't have to be something big or glamorous--But if it is, thats fine too! But i'd rather be happy. And I'm happy with my life! With you two."
You smiled and hugged Aaron, a little awkwardly due to facing your back to him originally, causing his to chuckle.
Aphmau blushed at his words. "I'm happy with you too..." "Same here!" You giggled.
"Ehe...Well! You better get ready for your interveiw! I don't want to hold you back..." Aaron smiled.
He tickled at your sides a little bit before setting you down next to Aphmau.
She looked deep in thought befote the doorbell rang. You ran to get it as Aphmau jumped.
"Y-Y/n, I told you about answering the door without me." She sighed, hopping over the couch making it to your excitable self.
She opened the door and greeted the new employee with a smile as did yourself.
"Hello! Welcome to--Huh!?"
You opened your eyed and jumped at the new employees but still just as excited at the familiar face.
"Well, Well! I wasn't expecting this!" Gene smiled.

You ran over to hug his leg making him chuckle.
"Hey, whats the heavy little dog doing on my leg? I better...Shake it off!"
You grinned and laughed as he attempted to shake you off in joking a manner.
"What are you dong here!?" "I'm here for the job." Gene informed, grabbed you by the hem of your shirt, lifting you off of his leg effortlessly, and onto his back.
"You..Are...The applicant?" "Yeah. I submitted my resume and everything. Are you the one in charge?" "Nope! I am!" You cheered.
"Uh-Huh. I doupt that..." Gene chuckled.
"I'm the one in charge b-but um...Come in! We'll talk more."
"Thanks!" Gene gave Aphmau a hug as you wrapped your arms around his neck so you didn't fall.
"Its great to see you. Honestly, I wasn't sure if I'd see you again after Love~Love Paradise." He smiled.
"Yeah...Weird huh? Ehe...Take a seat on the couch. We'll take an interview shortly." Aphmau nodded.
She walked inside the house with Gene following as you jumped off his back.
You looked up at Aphmau expression with a frown before gently punching her.
Not hard enough to harm her or make her mad at you but enough to get her attention and a slight pout.

"Good. Cause if your gonna run a buisness you can't hire or fail people for silly, pretty, or personal reasons."

Aphmau chuckled and strode past you with a slight head ruffle.

After a good few hours of talking and going threw papers you began to realize how boring this process is.
Your head was now layed in Aphmaus lap as you fiddled with Scrouchys arms before planting a kiss to their head with a smile.
Aphmau was absentmindedly stroking your ears gently as they gave off a twitch every so often.
"Okay! Wow! All your paperwork checks out and you aced interview! Uhm..."
"Does that means I get the job?"
"Uh...Are you shre this is what you
wanna do Gene? Weren't you trying to get a job back at Love~Love paradise?"
"I was but...I dunno. I'm not not entirely sure what I want to do with my life. If I'm being honest, I'm kind of looking for a relationship right now. Y'know? Just wanna take it easy."
"A relationship?" You and Aphmau murmured.
"I mean--Not that exactly. I just want to improve the relationships in my life. Like with my little bro! Kinda trying to turn over a new leaf, y'know? I know it's kinda weird for me to want to do a job like this but...Hey. Its something to start me off...Still trying to look for a place to live and everything."
Your ears turned in the direction of Genes voice causing you to pick your head up.
"A place to live? Are you--" "Are you homeless!?" You finished for Aphmau.
"Getting kicked out of my apartment in a few days. So yeah. Kinda falling on rough times. Trust me, if there were another job up my ally I'd be all over it. But right now, I'm looking for what I can get. I've been a waiter before so this job seems pretty intresting."
"Gene...I'm...Sorry to hear that."
"Me too! If you need a place to live, you can sleep in my bed!" You exclaimed, raising your hand into the air.
"Hey! Let my sob story affect whether you hire me or not. Hire me because you think I'm a good fit. I'll be fine with or without this job. Don't worry. And about that bed offer, I'm fine. Based on your size I don't think I'd fit anyway." Gene chuckled.
"Gene..."
You heard footsteps and quickly turned your head to the disturbance.
Aaron came down the stairs.
He had a quizzical / shocked expression.
"Aph? Y/n?" "Aaron! Hey! We're done with the interveiw!" "Hi Aaron!" You and Aphmau waved.
"Aaron! Hey buddy!" Gene smiled.
"Hey...Uh...Did you apply for the job?"
"Yup. Honestly, I wasn't aware Aphmau with someone hiring. I'm kind of shocked and kind of happy about that."
"Happy?"
"Yeah. I thought I wouldn't see you guys after our time at Love~Love paradise."
"Well! Looks like we'll be seeing you a lot more often because, you got the job!"
"He did?"
"I did!?"
"You did!" You grinned.
"Yup! Honestly, Kawaii~Chan liked your resume and I did as well."
"Congrats!"
"Yeah! Congratulations Gene!" You and Aaron smiled.
"T-Thank you! Thank you so much!"
"Ehe! We're still starting up so if you want to help you can join Kawaii~Chan and I at our meeting tommorow. Aaron and Y/n have been helping so this will be fun!"
"I'm looking foreward to it."
"I'll send more details to your Email tommorow morning so check it out! Here, let me give you my information."
