*Alright! I have decided Vampire Verse will be the subject of the crossover! It was highly requested, and I have a good plan for it. Just bear with me, cuz this might get long, tedious, possibly boring, and probably not as well-written as other stories involving the cast of Vampire Verse. For one thing, I'm breaking off of what I have come to know as the "norm" when it comes to writing Vampire Verse. Y'all don't know how frustrating it is to see Encre as a female (though I do not condemn writers who write him as such, since many of those stories are among my favorites), but there is something I'd like to point out that will be shown in future chapters.
Warning: Homophobia.
Back in the years of Medieval Europe, people condemned homosexual relationships, and did some terrible things to those convicted of these "unnatural crimes." Like srsly, if you have the curiosity to look it up, do not be surprised if you find mentions of dismemberment, cuz that is one of the punishments. It surprises me now how the LGBTQ community was able to break the social dogmas persecuting them with how oppressive the rest of the world was toward them. And I applaud you guys for it! However, since this is fanfiction about living skelebois, don't get mad at me. I am simply providing a plot conflict that the protagonists have to overcome. I wouldn't judge anyone for who they loved, as it is their choice, not mine, but in the era Vampire Verse seems to be set in, I would've thought the creator of it did more research on how things were for the inhabitants.
Then again, I barely did any research when I first started writing, so who am I to judge? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also, the vampires have no morals, so they can do whatever the frick frack they want lol
Now then, onto the story, cuz I'm getting impatient!*
... ... ...
Destiny hugged Fate as she turned away from their children. This was such a mess. And it was starting to hurt watching them stay separated. Curse that parasite! When will Entropy get rid of him, already?!
Speak of the devil, he appeared in his crisp, new suit, a grin of a thousand evils spread across his face. He waltzed up gracefully to his siblings, earning a snarl from Destiny.
"Why, hello, my beautiful beans," he said in a voice as smooth as his velvet tie, his brow quirking up and accentuating his chocolate brown eyes. "How are you doing this lovely day?~"
"Entropy," Destiny growled lowly, releasing Fate from the hug. "It's about time you showed your ugly mug."
"Oooh," Entropy held a hand to his chest in mock offense. "I'm hurt! I came here to offer my services to my sweet, caring siblings, and I get attacked in such an... outlandish way. I feel oppressed, mocked, persecuted-!"
"Quit being an ass, Entropy," Destiny rolled his eyes, cutting off the chaotic deity's monologue. "Have you done what Mercy has asked?"
It was Entropy's turn, now, to roll his eyes, but he smiled. "Yes, yes, of course. My poor, little, summer child will finally be laid to rest amongst the millions of other abominations I have created. Rest in peace, Neon Boy."
Destiny and Fate deadpanned at Entropy as he seemed to be praying to a higher power, even though, like, they are the higher power, but whatever. Fate put her hands on her hips, visibly drawing Entropy into paying her attention.
"I wanna know why you decided to create that creature anyway," she declared. "What purpose did it serve, exactly?"
Entropy eyed his sister curiously, then lowered his hands and tucked them behind his back.
"Why, dear Fate, didn't you keep little Inky under control, hmm?"
Fate opened her mouth to speak, but closed it again after a second of hesitation. She didn't really have a good excuse. She didn't think he'd go that far in the first place.
"I'll tell you why," Entropy continued. "See, you wanted to see how far he'd go. How much he could mess up before correcting him. Personally, I would've done the same thing, if only to cause more chaos. As for why I made Fresh, ah.... I saw the danger before you two did, it seems. I knew someone would have to come along and start curbing Ink's creative tendencies. What better creature to do that than a soulless agent of chaos?"
"Yeah, well, you're 'agent of chaos' is causing more harm than good now," Destiny broke in. "Now get rid of him so we can save our multiverse!"
Entropy smiled unsettlingly, sending chills down his siblings' backs.
"All in due time, dears. I have been working on it for the last few weeks after all, and it is already set in stone what is to happen. My apologies in advance."
"The hell is that supposed to mean?!" Destiny snapped, his temper getting dangerously close to bursting. "We have the power to alter any event we want, so what makes you think you can thwart us?!"
Entropy laughed softly and shook his head. "It has nothing to do with you. He has turned his attention to our multiverse, and he is not happy. Not happy with our progress, not happy with the timeline, not happy with anything here, really. But, with a carefully constructed plan, and a little bit of my debonair charm, I managed to get him and his associates to give us another chance. Aren't I just the best brother ever?~"
Destiny and Fate exchanged looks.
"So what? Fate and I could still change your plans, little bro."
Entropy rolled his eyes and scoffed.
"Not with this, you can't. They are explicitly awaiting a report on the situation here, and if I come back with a faulty one...."
For once, Entropy's urbane mask fell, and his expression turned dark. It was so uncharacteristic, the two older siblings grew concerned. It was left unsaid what would happen, for Entropy disappeared in red and black smoke. Before he did, though, he gave them a final warning.
"Don't mess this up."
... ... ...
Ink quickly raced up to his bedroom with Error still in his hold. He involuntarily shivered as he felt the warm blood seep through his clothes. He's really gonna have to wash these clothes once he fixes Error up. He placed the glitchy skeleton onto his bed gently, taking a shaky breath as his eyelights lingered on the torn and bleeding stems that were once Error's limbs.
Ink shook his head and looked away. Ok, time to find Dream. Surely he can fix this! He's the best healer in the multiverse! Ink looked back at Error, tentatively putting a hand the glitchy skeleton's cheekbone. He was cold as ice, and Ink couldn't stop the tears from forming. How could he have allowed this to happen? Error probably didn't want to go back to destroying, but Fresh probably threatened him, somehow.
He thought back to last month. They had had a sleepover at Nightmare's castle, and Error had claimed Fresh found a way in. The next few days, he was tense and nervous, and when the sleepover finally ended, he'd left to find Sci. Ink lowered his eyelights a bit. That's strange. He hasn't even heard from Sci in the last month. Heh, must be busy with Red, he guessed.
Ink stood up. Alright, now he really is gonna go find Dream. He opened a portal to UnderSwap, hoping the positive guardian was just hanging out with Blueberry. Before he went in, he took a glance at Error. The glitchy skeleton was still sleeping peacefully, and Ink nodded in satisfaction.
'I will so murder that parasite,' he thought, running through the portal.
He failed to notice another portal open right in his own bedroom.
A few moments earlier....
Blueberry and Dream sat behind a snow poff, watching as Red kicked the snow around. They'd been tracking Fresh for days now, figuring out his seemingly disjointed and unpredictable movements. It turned out that he had a pattern for deciding his next target: take a body with a lot of magic, then slowly work his way down to one with little magic. He'd been in the body of a very weak monster for those few days, so they decided to lay a trap. Luckily for them, Ink had stopped creating for awhile, so the Virus would finally be desperate enough to look for a stronger host.
And that host just so happened to be Red.
"How much longer do you think we'll have to wait?" Dream whispered to his partner, his brows drawing together in concern. Blueberry shook his head.
"I do not know, dear Dream," he whispered back. "But, we mustn't give up hope!"
They continued to wait, growing more apprehensive by the minute. Finally, Red got bored.
"Ugh, that's it!" he exclaimed, beginning to storm over to their hiding spot. "I'm tired of sittin' here, waitin' fer the guy who murdered my boyfriend ta just waltz up and kill me, too! How much longer do we have to wait?!"
Dream and Blueberry were trying to shoo him back over to where he was supposed to wait, and he huffed. This bastard better show soon, or else Red's going to hunt him down, himself. He continued walking toward them, but their expressions turned frantic, and they tried waving him over. He tilted his head to the side in confusion, and turned around.
Behind him was the Virus himself.
Before Red could react, Fresh teleported right in front of him and took a hold of his jacket. He struggled to get free, but Fresh's grip was too strong. He removed his shades, exposing a purplish, tentacled creature. It began to climb out of its dying host's eyesocket, revealing the monster soul that was just beginning to crack.
'This'd be a great time for Dream and Berry ta come ta my rescue,' Red thought as the creature's tentacles reached out toward him.
"HEY, YOU!!!"
Fresh and Red both looked to the right to see Blueberry throw a phial of a blue potion right at Fresh's face. He caught it, though, and laughed.
"Dang, broski," he said, his voice getting distorted and raspy from how weak he'd become. "Ya really thoughtcha could get da jump on me, huh?"
A flash of bright blue blinded the Virus, and the potion exploded in his hand. The potion sprayed onto the parasite's true body, and he let Red go, screaming in pain. It was an agonizing mix of monster and animal screeches, and Blueberry helped Red away from the dying creature.
In a fit of rage, the dying parasite threw a bone at the one who'd fired that arrow. Dream tried to dodge, but the bone grazed his ribcage, forcing him to his knees. Blueberry and Red threw attacks at the Virus, driving him into a portal, then breathed a sigh of relief.
Just as Blueberry ran to help his lover, Ink ran through a portal. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Dream.
"Dream! Are you ok? What happened?"
Blueberry looked up at him, helping Dream to his feet.
"NO TIME TO TALK, FRIEND INK. DREAM NEEDS MEDICAL ATTENTION, NOW!"
Ink nodded and opened a portal to MedicTale. They were greeted by Med, but he quickly noticed Dream's condition.
"Quick! In here!" He ushered them into an examination room, and Blueberry helped Dream lie down on the bed. Med took a quick look at the wound, then began patching it up.
"What happened?" Ink asked again, hoping to get an explanation.
"WE FOUGHT FRESH," Blueberry replied, holding Dream's hand as Med wrapped him up. "WE HOPE THAT POTION I FOUND AT SCI'S WILL BE ENOUGH TO GET RID OF HIM FOR GOOD, BUT THERE IS NO GUARANTEE...."
Ink sighed.
"I should've been there. I could've been helping you guys."
"NO, INK. HE WAS AFTER YOU. IF YOU HAD BEEN THERE, I FEAR YOU MAY HAVE BEEN HIS NEXT TARGET. YOU SEE, I SPIED ON HIM FOR AWHILE, FOLLOWING HIM AROUND AS HE TOOK HOSTS, AND HE ENCOUNTERED ERROR SEVERAL TIMES. EACH TIME, THERE WAS SOME SORT OF THREAT TO THE LIVES OF ERROR'S FRIENDS, ESPECIALLY YOURS, AND IF YOU'RE STILL MAD AT HIM, TAKE COMFORT IN THE IDEA HE MAY HAVE HAD A GOOD REASON TO DO IT. THOUGH, TO BE FAIR, HE COULD'VE COME TO THE MAGNIFICENT SANS AND HIS LOVER, DREAM, AND WE COULD'VE FIGURED SOMETHING OUT. JUST DON'T JUDGE HIM TOO HARSHLY FOR THINKING HE HAD NO OTHER CHOICE."
Ink looked down and nodded. He had started to suspect something like this had happened, but he'd been too caught up in practically hating Error for turning his back on him. On them. Oh, how wrong he was. It's just as he's always telling himself: he's not a hero. He's just a clumsy creator with memory problems who likes to jump to the worst conclusions too quickly.
Dream sat up, wincing at the pain in his rib and Ink's negativity.
"Hey, Ink?"
"Hm?"
"Don't worry. With Fresh hopefully gone, you and Error could go back to loving each other, again!" He beamed brightly, but his smile faded when Ink shook his head.
"Yeah right. I made those AUs to get back at him, and he could probably tell. He probably thinks I hate him." He looked up and met Dream's eyelights. "But he's severely wounded. I brought him to the Doodlesphere before I came looking for you. I was hoping you could heal him."
Dream and Blueberry exchanged looks, and Med cleared his throat.
"If he's wounded, why not bring him here? I can take a look at him for ya."
Ink smiled gratefully, but frowned and looked away.
"Can you reattach limbs?"
Med blinked several times, trying to process what he just heard.
"R-reattach.... L-limbs...?"
Ink sighed and nodded.
"From your reaction, I would guess not. That's why I came looking for Dream. You have experience healing impossible wounds, don't you, Dream?"
Dream nodded, and looked to Blueberry. The blue-clad skeleton helped his lover up, and the two headed into a portal with Ink, leaving Med to be traumatized.
They arrived in Ink's living room, and headed up the stairs. Before they even got to the bedroom, they could hear thuds and crashes coming from Ink's bedroom. Ink raced over to the door to be met with a horrific sight.
A half-dusting Fresh was throwing Error's limp body around like a ragdoll, seemingly venting out some semblence of anger. Despite his dying stare, Fresh was still incredibly strong, and when he saw Ink, he grabbed Error by the throat.
"Not another step, broski," he said lowly, opening a portal to what looked like a black hole. Ink stood his ground, ready to pounce on the parasite.
"Let. Him. Go."
Fresh smirked and shrugged.
"Aright, if ya say so, brah."
Ink lunged to catch Error, but it was too late. The glitchy skeleton disappeared in the black hole, and Ink fell to his knees. He looked to Fresh, who giggled madly as he finally dusted completely. Before he died, he saluted Ink.
"'S nice knowin' ya, Inky brah. Totes radical playin' dis game wit' y'all."
Ink held his head in his hands and cried out. When Dream and Blueberry found him, he was crying his eyesockets out, and they tried to comfort them as best they could. He accepted it, mourning Error with every fiber of his being.
... ... ...
Destiny and Fate glared at Entropy.
"What kind of BULLSHIT IS THIS??!"
Fate yelled, being held back by Destiny as Entropy checked his manicure.
"Oh relax, I've got it under control," he said, overly confident. "I mean, you are Fate and Destiny, right? Just send him to another multiverse-"
"And then what?!" Fate shouted. "Leave Inky alone?! You're fucking crazy!"
Entropy laughed.
"Of course not! Patch him up, send him somewhere safe, then guide him back home. Simple!"
Destiny had kept quiet, listening to his siblings fight. He didn't like this plan very much, but they had no choice, now. At length, he let Fate go, causing her to faceplant on the ground.
"Fine. We'll do it your way, Entropy. And I think I have a solution."
Fate stood up and eyed her brother carefully.
"And what might your solution be? It better not include hurting Inky anymore than everything that's already happened."
Destiny shook his head, smiling.
"No. At least, I hope not. But, this plan will require both of us. You especially, Fate. You are much better with this type of magic than I am, so here's what I need you to do...."

Cliffhanger, ew, gross. I don't like cliffhangers >:(
