Sorry for the wait. Haven't been feeling so good the past few days. But hope you enjoy the update.
When they got back home, Lucas immediately took a shower to get rid of the horrid smell. Sam went over to the window and sat on the ledge reading a book with her earbuds in.
The others sat at the table talking and playing games and talking. When they noticed she wasn't paying attention, they all stood up and quietly walked back downstairs.
After a while, Sam began to feel a bit hungry. She took off the earbud and stood up from the window. She then noticed the odd silence and that no one was around. "Hello?" She called out.
"Lucas? Trip? Are you guys playing a joke on me?" She questioned
No answer.
Sam let out a sigh and started walking down the stair. When she reached the bottom, no one was there. "Where'd they all go?" She asked herself.
As she was about to turn around and go up the stairs, she noticed a weird lighting outside. Curiosity hit. She slowly walked over to the door and opened. it.
The sight right before her eyes made her heart beat like crazy. Her face began to blush. But if anything, The boy in front of her was going even more crazy.
Lucas stood in front of her, wearing his nice suit and holding a bouquet of flowers. A blanket was laid across the grass with a picnic basket on the floor. And a bunch of fairly lights were hung on the tree.
Lucas could feel his face heating up. He knew if was red all over. And he felt his heart was going to explode in his chest. "H-hi." He stuttered.
"What is all this?" Sam asked as she walked over.
"A date." Lucas answered. He felt a lot more nervous than usual. He grabbed her hand and gently squeezed it. "I felt bad about earlier, so I got the others to help me."
"I was only joking." Sam said.
Lucas sighed and looked down at the floor. "I'm an idiot."
Sam began to laugh at him. She stood on her toes and placed a kiss to his cheek. "I love that clueless brain of yours." Sam said.
Lucas rolled his eyes, hen handed her the flowers. "For you." He said.
"Thank you." Sam smiled as she took the bouquet. "You look quite handsome in that suit."
"Thank you." He said. "I know it's not the most fanciest kinda date, considering we're having it outside of the tower, but I did put in a lot of-"
"I love it." Sam cut off.
"Huh?"
Sam smiled down at the floor, then back at him. "I love it. I don't care for anything fancy. This is fine. It's perfect."
Lucas smiled down at her. "You're perfect." He mumbled.
"Huh?" Sam questioned.
"Nothing." He said quickly.
~
"This makes me wanna throw up." Trip said.
"Keep quiet. We can't be bothering them at a time like this." Katie said.
"I think it's actually quite sweet." Jen gushed. She turned around and spotted Wes talking into his morpher. He gave a smirk before hanging up and walking back to the others. "Who were talking to."
"You'll see soon enough." Wes smirked. "I'm about to ruin their fun."
"Wes." Jen scolded, slapping his arm.
"Ouch, what was that for?"
"You better not have don't something stupid." Katie scolded.
"Already too late for that. Just watch the show." He winked.
~
"Who knew I'd be eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for my first date." Sam said.
"I made the mistake of asking Trip to prepare the food. I forget he doest know much." Lucas joked. The two started laughing.
Lucas scooted closer to Sam and wrapped an arm around her. Then the two laid down and looked up at the sky. "You're such a romantic." Sam laughed.
"You say it like it's a bad thing." Lucas said.
"It's not. It's just something I didn't expect from you. It's weird that the racecar driver knows a thing or two about romance. But it is cute."
"I'm not cute." Lucas scoffed.
"Sure, keep telling yourself that."
"I'm not cute." He pouted.
Sam sat up and stretched her arms. Lucas did the same. He stared down at her legs and frowned. "You got a lot more scars and bruises." He said.
Sam looked down at her legs and noticed all the scars and bruises. She shrugged her shoulders and smiled at Lucas. "I don't really care about them. They might hurt in the moment, but at the end, they're all worth it."
"You like getting hurt?" Lucas asked.
Sam rolled her eyes and slapped his arm. "You really are clueless." She scoffed. Lucas glared at her. "They're worth it because now I'm actually doing something with my own life. It's a decision I finally get to make the doesn't involve my plans for the future. I love being a power ranger. And I love being around you guys.
Lucas smiled at her, then placed a hand on top of her head. "You really are perfect." He mumbled again.
"I heard it that time."
"Dang it."
It grew silent, but it wasn't awkward. It was quite calming. While sam was buys looking up at the stars, Lucas couldn't help but to just admire her. Her eyes, her smile, her nose, it was all just too cute. She was perfect.
He scooted closer, not saying a word. Sam looked at him in confusion. "Something wrong?" She asked.
Lucas shook his head and smiled. He had a small urge to lean in and kiss her. But the more he thought about it the more his heart would race, which made the urge even bigger.
Finally, he leaned closer and placed a small peck to her lips. When she didn't react, he slowly began to pull away. But sam placed her lips back onto his. Her arms wrapped around his neck and his wrapped around her waist.
The kiss grew deeper, and his hands held tighter and tighter. Lucas smiled into the kiss, which cause Sam to do the same thing.
"What's going on here?"
The two quickly pulled away and turned around. Eric stood over them, an angry glare plastered over himself and his arm crossed over his chest. "Eric?" Sam panicked.
She pushed Lucas away and stood up. "What are you doing here?" She asked.
"Wes told me there was an emergency. Now I see the real reason why I'm here." Eric glared.
Sam turned around and found the others standing behind a tree. She could see Jen aggressively pulling on Wes' ear. "I'm going to kill him." She muttered.
"Did you plan to tell me about this?" Eric asked.
Sam nodded her head. "I was planning to tell you earlier. But then...well, you know."
Lucas stood back up from the floor. He stood next to sam and held her hand. Eric looked down at their hands and rolled his eyes. "How long?" He asked.
"Not too long." Lucas answered.
Eric slowly began walking towards them. Lucas could feel his heart racing. But not in the way Sam makes him feel.
Lucas completely froze up when Eric was in front of him. Eric grabbed him by the collar. "Hurt her, and you're dead."
"Eric." Sam scolded.
"I'm not finished." He cut off. "You're not on my good side right now. Got that? I'm actually quite surprised that I haven't caught on to this a lot sooner. Usually I do. And it doesn't end well for the guy."
"What's that supposed to mean?" Sam asked angrily.
"If I find out that you hurt her in any sort of way, I will come after you." Eric threatened. "I'm watching you."
Sam rolled her eyes and glared at Eric. "Overprotective as usual." She mumbled.
"I'm out of here. You're dead meat, Wes." Eric waved.
"What did I do!?" Wes shouted
When Eric was finally gone, Sam tugged the sleeve of Lucas' suit. "You don't look so good." She said.
"I'm dead." Lucas muttered.
"Ouch! Katie! Katie! Katie! That hurts." Wes yelped.
Sam turned around and saw the others walking towards them, Katie pulling Wes by his ear. Sam rolled her eyes and gave him a deadly glare. "You've been planning this for a while, haven't you?"
"Maybe." Wes shrugged.
"Don't bother talking to me for the rest of the night." Sam scoffed. She crossed her arms and walked back inside.
"Wait, Sam!"
Both walked inside and headed back upstairs.
Jen turned to Lucas and placed a hand to his shoulder. "Don't be so scared. Eric can't do anything to yo."
"How are you so sure about that?" Lucas asked.
"I'm pretty sure he just want to scare you." Katie said.
"And it's clearly working." Trip laughed. Lucas glared at him.
"Let's go back inside. I don't want to end up finding Wes on the floor dead." Katie joked.
"It's probably already too late."
Both Katie and Trip walked back inside together. Lucas sighed and looked down to the floor. "This is all too chaotic."
"Relax, everything going to be fine." Jen assured.
"We'll have to see if that's true." Lucas sighed. He looked back to her and smirked. "So what about you and Wes, do you plan to tell him or not?"
Jen rolled his eyes. "I'm done with this conversation."
"But, Jen..."
"Get back inside before you end up like Wes." Jen threatened.
"Okay." Lucas pouted.
