Beomgyu slowly opened his eyes and turned over. But then he realized Yeonjun wasn't next to him and sat up. He threw back the covers and stood up. He vaguely wondered why Yeonjun would just leave when the bathroom door opened and Yeonjun walked out.
Yeonjun smiled softly at Beomgyu. "Well, good morning. How are you feeling? Does anything hurt?"
"Just a bit sore." Beomgyu admitted with a shrug. Yeonjun nodded and Beomgyu noted he looked nervous.
"Is something wrong?" Beomgyu asked.
"Well... I wanted to ask you something." Yeonjun said, taking a couple steps forward.
"And what's that?"
"Last night... did you mean it when you said you loved me?" Yeonjun asked, holding his breath when Beomgyu stayed silent.
"Yes..." Beomgyu said slowly. "Why?"
Yeonjun smiled brightly. "Really? So you forgive me?"
"Well, I'm still a tad bit upset." Beomgyu admitted. "But I thought you already knew I loved you. I never really stopped..."
"I wasn't sure." Yeonjun said slowly, taking more steps closer and gently grabbing Beomgyu's hand. "But I'm still so, so sorry. I'll even get down on my knees and beg for your forgiveness if that's what you want."
Beomgyu smiled slightly, and glanced at a chair Mochi was perched on. "What do you think, Mochi?"
Mochi meowed.
"You're sure?"
Mochi meowed again.
Beomgyu nodded. "Mochi thinks I should forgive you."
Yeonjun smiled and shook his head slightly, but he still walked forward and pressed his forehead against Beomgyu's. "Thank you. Both of you." Yeonjun glanced at Mochi.
"You get one chance. Don't blow it up." Beomgyu said softly.
"I won't." Yeonjun said, kissing his nose. "But, there's a couple things before we do anything-"
"I know," Beomgyu interrupted. "You're worried because of your dad. Don't worry, we can keep it a secret."
"Did you just read my mind or something?" Yeonjun asked with a smile.
"I wish." Beomgyu sighed.
"You know, we can tell your friends as long as they can keep it quiet."
Beomgyu considered it for a few moments. "I think so... just be careful of Kai."
Yeonjun nodded. "Will do. So, Beomgyu... will you be my boyfriend?"
"Yes. I will."
A week later...
"Dude, I'm glad your finally letting us actually talk to Yeonjun for more then like three seconds." Kai joked as Beomgyu opened the door to let him, Taehyun and Soobin in. At first he'd been a little reluctant to agree to this, because of Soobin, but things hadn't been awkward so he finally decided to go along with it.
"Well, he's been busy." Beomgyu said with a shrug. Kai smirked.
"No, you two have been busy. You both are always together. Probably fuck a lot too, right?"
"Taehyun, control your boyfriend." Beomgyu groaned. Taehyun blushed slightly and looked down.
"But he's not my boyfriend."
"Not yet, anyways. But that's a discussion for another time." Kai said. Taehyun looked at Kai in slight shock but said nothing.
"When will Yeonjun actually get here?" Soobin asked. Beomgyu checked the time on his phone.
"Should be soon."
Soobin nodded and picked up Mochi. "Beomgyu still pays a lot of attention to you, right?" He asked the cat.
Mochi purred.
"Hmm, just as I suspected. Don't worry, I'll take you home with me."
Beomgyu tsked. "No way." He grabbed Mochi. "No cat-napping my child."
"He's your son?" Kai asked, laughing slightly. Beomgyu squinted his eyes in suspicion.
"Yes."
Kai opened his mouth but a knock cut him off, and Beomgyu set Mochi on the ground and went to the door. Opening it, he smiled at Yeonjun.
"Hello, love."
"Hey." Yeonjun said, kissing his cheek before walking in.
"Oh no, they're already starting." Kai said, fake gagging. Beomgyu scoffed and smacked his arm.
"Just you wait until you and Taehyun date." Beomgyu said.
"You can't tease someone as well as I can. I think we'll manage." Kai grinned and moved out of the way as Beomgyu tried smacking his arm.
"Soo, Junie- I can call you that, right?" Kai asked, walking over and wrapping an arm around his shoulders.
"No."
"Well, what should I call you then? I definitely don't want to call you whatever Beomgyu does when you both fu-"
"Kai!!" Beomgyu groaned as Soobin and Taehyun laughed.
Yeonjun grabbed Kai's wrist and removed his arm from around his shoulders. "Now I know what you meant when you said this one could be a handful." Yeonjun said as he walked to Beomgyu's side and wrapped an arm around his waist.
"Handful is my middle name." Kai said.
"What a weird name you have." Soobin joked. Kai shrugged.
"Anyways," Beomgyu said. "Let's go to the restaurant now."
Beomgyu smiled slightly when he felt Yeonjun grab his hand under the table. He took a sip of water as he intertwined their fingers together.
"Junie-" Kai began, before Yeonjun interrupted.
"Yeonjun."
"Fine, fine. Yeonjun. Why so quiet, dude?"
Yeonjun shrugged. Kai blinked. "Huh, alrighty then."
Beomgyu smiled slightly. He knew that Yeonjun was quiet because he had just wanted to spend the afternoon with Beomgyu.
"Be right back." Soobin said, looking at his phone, getting up and walking away.
"Has anyone else noticed how quiet Soobin is?" Taehyun asked, watching him go. Beomgyu nodded.
"Yeah. Kai, do you know if somethings wrong with him?"
Kai shrugged. "No idea."
Soobin came back a minute later. "I have to go, I don't feel well. I'll talk to you guys tomorrow. It was nice getting to know you better, Yeonjun."
They all said goodbye to Soobin, and he left them.
The others had spent the rest of the time doing random things after Soobin had left, but now Yeonjun was dropping Beomgyu off.
"Well, goodnight." Beomgyu said, smiling and kissing Yeonjun.
"Do you want me to walk you in there?" Yeonjun asked gently. Beomgyu smiled.
"That's okay, love. I'll see you tomorrow."
Yeonjun nodded and left. Beomgyu passed the other apartment doors and went to his. He fumbled for the key, but then realized the door was unlocked. He figured he must have forgot to lock it and walked in.
But as he took a few steps in, he stepped on something that crinkled, and realized it was paper. Puzzled, he bent down and retrieved it, opening it and reading it.
Dear Beomgyu,
I don't know how to say this, but I think someone's after me. I'm really scared. But... I don't think I'm going to make it out of this alive, because whoever it is has bad intentions. So... I want to say, thank you for being my friend. And my first true love, even if the feeling's aren't mutual. You make me happy, and you make me laugh, and you make me feel safe. You've always been there for me when I was down, and I'm really glad. I want you to know that I'm really not mad at you for going to Yeonjun, okay? Remember that. I know I might live, but I'm just scared. But I care about you, I do. Never forget that.
Love,
Soobin.
Beomgyu read the letter a second time as he turned on the lights. He wanted to talk to Soobin. He pulled out his phone as he walked fully into his apartment. But it clattered to the ground as Beomgyu covered his mouth and screamed in pure terror.
(And, cliffhanger. okay, goodnight guys. I'll let you sit with this for a while, lmao... sorry. You guys won't be ready for the next chapter, I swear to god. I don't know if I'm even ready for it.
