Dark clouds were forming in the sky when Jungkook stepped out of the pavilion. Two weeks have passed since they sowed the seeds and now the seeds have captured the soil and spread their roots enough to survive the gusts of rain and wind.
And… One week has passed since the Alpha and Luna talked, things started to change after that a little if you ask the eclipsers. However, they don't know the reason behind it. They often saw their Luna laughing and giggling on his own, often saw their Alpha spending the night inside the pavilion, often saw them eating together and taking walks till the end of the southern land.
Oblivious to the deep talks that happened between them, All the Eclipsers seemed overjoyed. And with the increment of their delights, the sky was reverberating with loaded drums since the night. It looked as if the clouds were fetching water from oceans and filling it inside the ice crystals till they became hefty and dark.
The thunder of clouds happens again and the dark clouds hide the Sun rays, restricting them to reach the grounds of the earth.
The atmosphere appeared dreamy, igniting a hint of belonging inside hearts and draping a lovely longingness between mates. It's the werewolf's favourite season after all, drenching in rain with the one you are destined with.
The thoughts alone send numerous emotions to their heart and soul.
The soldiers who went hunting had also come back. Thick leaves were piled up all around the cookhouse and a tent was spread over the top to keep it safe from the rain.
The Royal Alpha was standing on the shore of the Lake. He was wearing a black high-neck ruffled shirt, sleeves cuffed around his wrists in a nice fit. It was paired up with matching black pants, adorning a black belt around his hips and knee-high lace boots. A black cape coat was draped over his shoulders, hugging his collarbones and tied in the middle of the ruffled collar of his shirt.
His eyes fixed on the surface of the water as if waiting when the first drop fell and the calm surface turned into a chaotic mess of sprinkles.
The dark clouds had spread all around the large expanse of the sky, a low humid breeze containing the brew of soil and water droplets was blooming in the senses.
Jungkook was standing on the exact opposite shore of the Lake. He was wearing a dark blue hanfu, a pure white norigae was dangling from its sash. Red hairs were waving around his shoulders and behind his back, swaying softly in the air.
Luna was wearing a blue scarf around his neck that follows down and covers the region of his shoulders and collarbones. The green grass was touching his flat boots and the flares of his long skirt were getting wet from the misty leaves.
He looked up and closed his eyes, inhaling the deep aroma of sand drenched in soft moisture… was sending shivers of pleasure down his body, It felt like heaven.
Taehyung's eyes shifted from the surface of the water and landed on the dark blue solitude at the far end of the lake. He watched the omega flinch when the first droplet fell right on his closed eyes.
The Royal Alpha's eyes were focused on the omega amidst the downpour, he heard the joyful howls of Eclipsers when the droplets started coming down in wild torrents.
Jungkook was smiling widely with his eyes closed, he extended his hands in the air as if opening his arms to let the rain hug him after the wait of an entire year. He felt his clothes getting damp along with his hairs, the tip-tap of droplets creating musical tones whenever they were touching his skin, his head fell back as he stuck his tongue out.
Taehyung's lips parted in a sigh, his eyes were still stuck on the omega. He pushed his dripping hair back and watched the omega with amused eyes as the omega was catching the droplets with an open mouth.
"It seems like a Lunar thing."
The Royal Alpha looked over his shoulder and found his brother standing beside him. He was pointing across the lake and said again," It definitely seems like some Lunar ritual."
Taehyung looked across the lake again and this time he found the omega wasn't standing alone there. A red-haired Beta was accompanying him in the same posture and position.
His tongue was out with a wide grin on his face and Jimin had never seen such a wide grin on his mate's lips before. The Beta looked younger just as a pup but then both red hairs started rotating their bodies in slow circles, letting the rain drench their souls as if enjoying the sounds of the droplets.
By now all of the Eclipses were watching their Luna and the Beta with curious eyes. They watched as both of them opened their eyes and looked at each other with challenging smiles.
Jimin gasped and covered his mouth as he saw Yoongi and Luna joining their hands as if wrestling in the middle of an open ground. Both were joining their hands and pushing each other.
The downpour drenched the soil so much that some big and small mud puddles got formed all over the grounds.
Yoongi laughed as he flicked Jungkook's legs from the back of his shin and pushed him into the puddle. The crowd gasped as they saw Luna laying drenched in mud from head to toe.
"Oh my moon goddess," Jimin whispered, eyes blown wide as he walked past the crowd towards his mate. The Royal Alpha followed him from behind with calm steps but a little frown has made a home on his face.
As soon as they passed the crowd, they heard a jolt of excited cheers erupting in howls. Before the red-haired Beta could step back from the puddle, Jungkook was quick to hold his ankles and yanked his body right into the mud.
The Beta landed in the mud on his back, his pale white skin turned brown from head to toe. Jungkook rolled out of the puddle and looked up to wash out some of the mud from his face. His body was drenched in mud but the sharp rain droplets were trying hard to wash the mud away.
Jungkook opened his eyes and looked around, happiness bubbled out from his lips as he watched the people pushing each other in the mud and pinching their noses before taking a dip. He let out a loud laugh at that, holding his drenched skirt from one end, laughing while leaning down.
The crazy crowd of Eclipsers rummaged into the nearby puddles one by one, the more they played with mud…the more they heard the loud laugh of their Luna. Some of them even let out their wolves and Jumped right into the lake.
Yoongi rolled out of the puddle too, pushing his hair back, he wiped the excess amount of mud from his face and looked around. However, his eyes didn't roam around much. His gaze stopped as soon as it landed on his omega… standing beside the Royal Alpha with a horrified look on his face.
He pushed himself up then and walked towards his mate. He watched how Jimin's eyes went wide as he took a shield behind his brother's back.
But it didn't stop Yoongi from walking until he heard that sweet voice,"Don't. Don't come near me. I swear," His highness threatened while peeking from behind Taehyung. His heartstrings were telling him that Yoongi was coming for him and he refused to imagine what the Beta would do to him if he got a hold over him.
Yoongi tilted his head and raised his eyebrows," I didn't do anything… Yet." he took a step sideways to grab Jimin's arm but the Royal omega was fast to Rotate his brother's body as a shield.
"No!, no! Stay away," Jimin shouted but the downpour was so loud that his voice just reached up to the Royal Alpha and his mate.
Yoongi smiled at his mate, his eyes holding such mischief that Jimin wanted to run away from the southern land and hide in the safety of his chamber.
"Are you thinking that you can escape from me?" Yoongi approaches the other direction and Jimin again rotates the Royal Alpha by grabbing his shoulders tightly from his back.
"My Empire, My rules, I am not following any ritual, " Jimin grumbled and held his head high by raising himself on his toes, looking at his mate over Taehyung's shoulder. He has worn his best hanfu today, this light green looks pretty on him.
Yoongi was the one who complimented him last time and now he doesn't want to ruin his mate's favourite dress.
Yoongi frowned at the mention of rituals," Ritual?" He laughed at the adorable pout that appeared on his mate's face. He make a run towards him by encircling the Royal Alpha, it made Jimin squeak loudly and he circled Taehyung along with them while keep hiding behind him.
The Royal Alpha raised his hand in the middle and Yoongi stopped. He took a step back but keep standing there as if waiting for the Alpha's decision. Taehyung looked over his shoulder and Jimin pulled away from his shoulder.
Taehyung looked right into Yoongi's eyes and if Yoongi didn't have removed access mud from his eyes earlier he would have believed that he has turned into a blind man because right now he was witnessing a small smirk that twitched over the Royal Alpha's lips.
And in a swift motion, The Royal Alpha stepped away from his path.
The Royal omega gaped at his brother, too shocked to speak. He saw his brother gesturing his mate by his hand as if allowing him to do whatever he wants with the omega.
"Is this how betrayal feels like?" His lips wobbled as he looked at his brother.
Right then and there, Jimin realised that all the bad deeds he has done in this life, should be suffered in this very life only.
Taehyung turned his head away, pretending to look around the people in worry. Jimin gasped and was about to lash out when he felt an arm around his waist.
His face paled when his tiny nose inhaled that familiar scent. He thrashed in Yoongi's arms, "No, Yoongi! Everyone is watching," His voice went deaf around the Beta's ears as he carried his small body in his arms.
"Put me down! You will not listen to your mate huh? I'm your mate, are you forgetting? Yoonie, I don't wanna please!" The Royal Omega keeps mumbling to his mate and tightened his hold around his neck when he felt the Beta kneeling on the ground.
He doesn't need to look back to know that a puddle of mud was waiting for him to get drenched in.
"You don't like me, do you?" The Royal highness pulled out his last card, surging his expression into the most innocent ones.
Yoongi moved his head and placed it over the Royal omega's forehead," Yes. Likeness is not something I feel about you."
Jimin blinked his eyes twice and was about to ask what does he mean when his vision turned all black. He felt the mud covering his entire body with a splash and lungs contracted by lack of oxygen.
He heard loud laughs of his mate, Jimin doesn't remember how many years ago he had let out a swearword but right now! Right at this moment, he wants to let out profanities.
He wants to.. He wants to arghh!!! The Royal omega grabbed Yoongi by his collar and tugged him into the puddle. Their bodies rolling over each other as Jimin starts painting all the mud on his mate.
The Royal Alpha felt satisfied seeing the muddy face of his elder brother. However, his face didnt give away any expressions but his body could feel the happiness all around him. All of his people were enjoying the first rain of the season.
He turned around and was walking to his previous spot across the river when he felt a hand around his wrist, stopping him from going any further.
The raindrops were falling heavily on the ground, washing and drenching every little thing that comes in contact. Rains are selfless like that, they never differentiates anyone's emotions by their nature, they makes suffer everyone in longingness, makes confess everyone under it's downpour.
It helps to conceal the emotions too, will makes it difficult to see what other holds for you in those wet eyes. But if anyone could read your eyes in a rainfall then you are surely unlucky. So pure that even rain can't help you.
So How? How could the Royal Alpha was reading that unsaid confession in those misty eyes?
Taehyung looked back over his shoulder, the omega was holding his wrist in a tight hold. His face was clear now, red hairs still dominating the brown mud, clothes fully drenched and turning into dirty brown.
Jungkook smiled as he stepped closer, still keeping the hold.
"Happy first rain, Alpha." He wishes the Alpha too innocently.
Taehyung turned around, not minding the dirty hands soiling the cuffs of his shirt," Is it something to celebrate about?"
The smile bloomed more, similar to all the ways since the previous week. The omega was gleaming even after soaking in mud and the Alpha has no answer how.
Jungkook stepped closer, now standing in front of his Alpha," Back in Lunar, there weren't enough sources of water. We all awaits for the rainy season and when the first downpour falls, people celebrate it with open arms."
Taehyung follows the streaks of water that were gliding down all over omega's face in the rain, silently.
"We enjoy every form of this season, rainfall, thunder, lightning, storms. I'm happy that Eclipsers find it enjoyable too." Jungkook said as he looked all around again.
Taehyung followed his gaze too," They are happy people… just need an excuse to celebrate. And if their Luna is urging them to join then no one can hold them back."
The Royal Alpha shouldn't but his eyes roamed over the omega's face once again.
Jungkook smiled so widely that he is sure that his cheekbones will hurt later but right he has something else in mind, so he needs to focus.
"Have you ever celebrated the first rain before?" Jungkook asked and the Alpha sensed the shifted scent of the omega.
But the Alpha still decided to answer," It's natural to me."
"I can help to celebrate it better," Jungkook proposed nonetheless, a little too eager on his toes and his eagerness made Taehyung's eyebrow scrunch up.
He looked down at his drenched clothes and then at the omega," I have already welcomed it enough."
He was about to turn when Jungkook made his hold tighten around his wrist," Not like this. It's not the proper way to welcome the rainfall."
The Royal Alpha looked at Jungkook with a tilted head, his eyes turned blank again and the omega gulped before letting out a small smile.
Before the Alpha could utter a word and let those eyes intimidate Jungkook more, he extended his other hand and drape it over his eyes," Just close your eyes."
The Alpha keeps standing there, both of them soaking in the rainfall but it was the concern they had in their hearts right now.
"I'm removing my hand but please… Don't open your eyes." Jungkook pleaded, his eyes wandered around the little moles that were decorating the Alpha's skin so beautifully.
He blinked his eyes rapidly to wave off the blurriness from the excess water and slowly moved his hand.
He bit his lips to stop his smile when he found his Alpha has his eyes still closed, he held Taehyung's hands and spread his arms in the air, opening the palms to let the rain heal all the rough edges of the skin.
It's the same posture in which Jungkook welcomed the first droplets of the rain.
"That's it. Welcome it with open arms." Jungkook took a step back from the Alpha and another and then another.
The Royal Alpha felt the rains falling right over his closed eyes, over his fingertips. The droplets were bouncing back on his skin, the wild downpour was creating an isolated space in the middle of the chaos.
The rain seeped into the Alpha, entering through the thin pours before emerging into his nerves to comfort, a chill spread around the igniting fire that was still burning inside him, the fire in which he was burning himself.
He sensed the tiny raindrops speaking under his ears, singing in sacred tunes to melt his skin. He was too far in his mind to sense another things happening around him.
Jungkook pressed his forefinger over his lips and gestured the giggling eclipsers around him to keep quiet, he pointed at the soldiers who were ready with wooden baskets filled with mud.
When the Luna gave a sign to the soldiers, all of them tossed their muddy buckets towards the Alpha. The water landed on Taehyung from four different sides, it took the Royal Alpha a solid moment to open his eyes and realise

His blurry but heavy gaze fall on Jungkook who was a laughing mess in between the other Eclipsers.
Jungkook's stomach was hurting, hurting badly from laughing so loud that the sky thunders along with him. There was so much chaos around him and the heavy rainfall made almost everyone high at hearing.
The Luna frowned when he heard a voice in his mind and then outside in the crowd, he focused and heard it again.
"Jungkook!"
It was the Royal omega, Jungkook knew. He turned his head towards the omega who was still fighting with his mate in the puddle but right now he was looking at him with a warning look.
"Yes hyu-"
"Run!!!"
What? Jungkook was sure he didnt heard it correctly because why would his hyungnim wants him to run in a slippery weather?
"Run!!!!" This time the scream was alarming, it made Jungkook looked at his Alpha and his breath caught right into his heart.
The Royal Alpha was walking towards him… with ever so slow steps. His gaze was settled on the omega while his one hand was pushing the dirt down from his face. He flicked the drops off of his chin with his fingers.
Jungkook looked in all directions nearby and shivered when found no one around him. He glanced at the returning backs of the Eclipsers with a palpitating heart.
Traitors.
He took a step back when the Alpha stepped closer and then in a sudden movement, Jungkook starts running far from the shore of the lake.
The Royal Alpha's lips twisted in amusement before his feet starts running right behind the omega to capture him. The rainfall was still thundering down in torrents but it reflect no effect on the running mates.
A big smile appeared on Jimin's lips. He was watching his brother enjoying something after so long. His mind raced with thoughts as he turned towards his mate," I have perfect revenge in my mind."
"And what is that?" Yoongi asked as he wiped the omega's blushy cheeks with the rainwater.
