"Hiccup~" Hiccup shifts a little in his sleep but does not wake up. "Come on~ Time to get up~" He still does not wake up. "Okay, I'm out of patience. Toothless." Hiccup then starts to feel something wet lick his face, "Gah, Toothless." He groans, opening his eyes as he looks at the Night Fury. Toothless stops as he sees Hiccup awake. Hiccup then notices that he was on him and he lifts himself up which causes Toothless to get off him and land on the ground. Hiccup sits up as he looks down at Toothless, (Y/N), and Midnight looking up at him, "Oh. So, definitely not a dream." He says, wrapping his arms around his legs.
"Yeah, but don't worry. I will get to figuring out how to shrink you back to your original size. I just need a blood sample." (Y/N) says, wanting to cheer up Hiccup. The giant smiles down at her and lowers one his hands to her. (Y/N) takes out a small knife and makes a cut on Hiccup's finger. Some blood start to seep from the wound and she took out a clean bottle to collect some. Once she had enough, she put away her knife and casted a spell to heal the cut. "Done. Now, Midnight will lead you to a watering hole where you can fresh up because you stink a little and a bathing helps me calm my mind. I have a stew cooking in the house so we'll eat when you come back." She says.
Hiccup looks at her with some amazement. She was doing so much for him and yet acted like it was no big deal. "Yeah, thanks. And thank you for all this. You didn't have to do this." He tells her. (Y/N) smiles bashfully as she looks away from him, "Well, I feel responsible for your situation so I want to help fix it." She says, looking at him with soft (E/C) eyes. Hiccup smiles back at her with a thankful expression, "It's not your fault. And if I hadn't ended up like this, I wouldn't have met you." He says. (Y/N) looks at him with a surprised expression then laughs in disbelief, "You're cute." She says. Hiccup blushes at that but then shake his head and stands up. He watches where he steps and Midnight takes flight as she leads him to the watering hole.
(Y/N) watches them and Toothless looks at her with big eyes. She feels his gaze and looks at him, "What are you looking at?" She sasses, making Toothless look away from her. She rolls her eyes then makes her way to her house, but before she enters she looks back at Toothless, "Do you want to come in?" She asks. Toothless rumbles happily the runs over to her. "Just don't break anything and if you succeed, I'll give you some of my fish treats I make for Midnight. She always wants them, so they're that good." She tells him. Toothless shakes in excitement at the thought of a treat but then notices his behavior and calms down. "Good dragon." (Y/N) teases then holds the door open for him. Toothless enters and (Y/N) follows him, closing the door behind him.
The Dragon Riders fly across the island as they continue to search for Hiccup and Toothless. "Hey! I'm getting hungry! Let's head back and get some food!" Snotlout shouts to the others. "No, Snotlout! We have to find Hiccup and Toothless!" Astrid shouts back. "Astrid, we've been to this side of the island and there is nothing here!" Snotlout argues. But then Stormfly catches a scent then dives down along with the rest of the dragons. "Whoa! Stormfly!" "Hookfang!" "Meatlug!" Astrid, Snotlout and Fishlegs exclaim in surprise. "Woo-Hoo! Things are getting good!" Ruffnut cheers. "I know! And I'm excited!" Tuffnut cheers as well.
The dragons fly down and they enter the area that the charm protects from onlookers. They land near the pond with the fish and the riders get off them as they look around. "That's.... Odd." Fishlegs says. "What is 'odd,' exactly?" Snotlout asks, looking around the area. "We have been around this part of the island before, but this area wasn't recorded." Fishlegs states. Stormfly sniffs around and screeches as she picks up a scent. "Guys, Stormfly's got something. Let's go!" Astrid commands, getting on her dragon as Stormfly runs off in a direction. The others get on their dragons and follow. Unaware of who, or what, they will encounter.
After a while of following the scent, Stormfly stops as do the other dragons to look and find a house. "Hmmmm~ Quite intriguing." Tuffnut says, scratching his chin. "Yeah. How come someone else gets to have a nice spot as their property? But then again, it does have a nice nature feel to it." Ruffnut comments. Astrid gets off Stormfly and grabs her axe. "Alright, we don't know who this is so let's be quiet and not bring any attention to us." She orders. The others get off their dragons and after commanding them to stay hidden, they quietly made their way to the house. They take cover in some bushes and try to find a way to enter it that was not through the front door.
"SWEET MOTHER OF CRIMSON CRYSTALS!!!" They jump from the yelling in the house. "Okay, did not see that coming." Snotlout mutters. Then the front door of the house slams open as (Y/N) walks out of it and covers her face as she groans. "Okay, okay, okay, okay. Everything is fine. It's fine. Just that this will be more difficult than I thought. How did he even get that stuff?" She talks into her hands, making her voice sound muffled, as she paces around. Not noticing the people watching her in confusion. Toothless exits the house as he watches her pace around.
"Toothless is here. That means Hiccup must be close." Fishlegs says, though he notices that Toothless was calm around the stranger and was not wearing his gear. Toothless walks over to (Y/N) and gently rubs himself on her. (Y/N) removes her hands from her face as she looks down at the black dragon. She takes a few deep breaths to calm down then rests a hand on Toothless' head. "Thanks, Toothless." She says. She takes a deep breath then slowly exhales. "Okay. If it was a potion it would be easier, but essence is a little hard to extract." She says, already trying to formulate an idea. "Wait, they must have taken the containers." Fishlegs says. "So, they're the thief." Snotlout concludes.
"Well, whoever they are, they better start explaining themselves." Astrid says, coming out from her hiding spot and walking towards the (H/C)-haired woman. "Astrid, wait!" Fishlegs whispers loudly, but Astrid does not listen. Toothless hears footsteps and looks to see Astrid then notices her axe in her hands. He moves to be in front of (Y/N), who looks at him then at Astrid. "Oh! Uh... Hello." (Y/N) greets awkwardly as she waves at Astrid. Smiling nervously as she glances down at the double-sided axe in the blonde woman's hands. "Where. Is. Hiccup?" Astrid demands, glaring down (Y/N).
The others reveal themselves from the bushes as they make their presences known. "Astrid, please don't be rash!" Fishlegs says to Astrid, trying to calm her down. "So, who are you? And are you single?" Snotlout flirts at (Y/N). The woman raises a brow at his question, feeling a little grossed out. "Let us get to the important questions. Question numero uno: Did you build this? Because it looks solid. Really great work, love your work." Tuffnut compliments, even clapping his hands a little. "Uh.... Actually, yeah. I am quite proud of myself. But I did have some help." (Y/N) answers. "Interesting. Also, love the boots." Ruffnut compliments. "Oh, thank you. I made them myself." (Y/N) smiles shyly.
"Alright, enough!" Astrid shouts. Everyone looks at her as they see that she was not in a talking mood. "Now. Where. Is. Hiccup?" She orders at (Y/N). "Astrid, please. Let's talk this out." Fishlegs tries to get through to her. Toothless looks at Astrid with big eyes in hopes of showing that (Y/N) is not a threat. (Y/N)'s mind was swirling. She looked at each of the individuals, knowing that things could go south real fast. Her time spying on them while they had her crate gave her enough of an understanding of how these guys function and what they are capable. She did not want to resort to using any magic because while Hiccup may be cool with it, it does not mean others will be.
"So...... Are we gonna do something or..." Tuffnut trails off. "Well, uh.... The thing is...." (Y/N) starts off, looking away from the group as she holds her hands, feeling the crystals on her gloves. "What? What did you do to him?" Astrid growls, pointing her axe at (Y/N) and quickly losing patience. But then the dragons reveal themselves as they fly into the air, "What the- Hookfang!" Snotlout calls out to his dragon. The others then start to feel a vibration from the ground and it starts to get stronger. "Wah! Earthquake!" Tuffnut exclaims. "On Berk?" Fishlegs questions, recalling that the only time the ground shook on Berk was when the Screaming Death revealed itself years ago.
Astrid looses her balance as she falls onto her hands and knees. (Y/N) takes the opportunity to disarm, her hand glowing (F/C) as she carefully slides the axe away so that Astrid would not grab it nor notice. Midnight then appears as she lands behind (Y/N) then summons some fire. She blasts it and it hits the ground then it circles around the group, trapping them in a ring of fire. Astrid stands up and backs away from the flames as she and the others look at the situation they are in.
"Midnight, it's okay! Don't hurt them." (Y/N) tells Midnight, resting her hands on the large dragon in an effort to calm her. "Uh....... Guys?" Everyone looks up and find none other than Hiccup looking down at them. And see that he was really, really tall.
For what felt like a long while, no one said anything. "Soooooooo...... Anyone want some stew?" (Y/N) asks, smiling nervously. Hiccup scratches his head as he looks away from the gang. "Uh..... Surprise?" He says with a nervous smile. Midnight and Toothless share a look with each other as they mentally facepalm from the entire situation.
