Flashback From The Seven Walls, when the promise was being forged. (Read back on chapter 74 if confused)
"Now, what sort of promise would you like to form?" {{}} asked.
"I want two things...one, is for all the children in the farms to be set free to go to the human world. And two, I want to make it impossible for anyone to travel between the two worlds" Y/n stated. "Hmm...I can grant that wish but...I desire a reward from you in return" {{}} said. "A reward..." y/n asked, furrowing her eyebrows. "Yes...something important as a reward,..ambition,desire, I really do prefer to take the persons most loved thing...do you still want to make the promise after knowing this?" {{}} explained. Y/n looked at {{}} and nodded. "I shall grant your wishes...But I want two special rewards from you since you want two things from me...and they are...your memories"
"My...memories?" Y/n asked, trembling at the thought. {{}} nodded. "Every moment you've lived from your first steps to the last time you'll smile at your family. Everything. You won't even remember your own name when you get to the human world. You'll still remember how to walk and talk and read of course. I'm not that cruel" {{}} chuckled.
Y/n opened the palms of her hands and looked down at them, lost in her own thoughts for a few moments, taking a deep breath. "Take them. Knowing in this moment my family will all make it to the human world is enough to persuade me. What's the second reward?"
{{}} chuckled once more, clapping his scaly claw like hands together. "I am ever so surprised you agreed so quickly! Anyone else would have needed more time to think...the second reward is just as valuable as the first...I want to keep the memories... of the one who cherishes you the most, 81149. That boys memories are like precious diamonds. They are deeply treasured by him, therefore they are of great value to me" {{}} said, placing his hand over his heart.
"Wait...so that means Ray won't...remember me at all? Not anything? Not even my voice or just a glimpse of my face?" Y/ns heart began to break. "Nothing" {{}} said bluntly.
"For only a shadow in the back of his memory you will become. Everyone else will still remember you of course...but the constant torment of someone he's long forgotten could haunt him forever. And all of your memories will become a distant dream you once had...occurring every few nights...the same faceless people...driving you insane of who the mysterious characters could be...so in saying all this will you still agree to forge this promise?" {{}} asked.
Y/n hesitated for a few seconds before nodding with a sad smile. "If getting to the human world, saving my family and friends...and making everyones dreams reality means sacrificing mine and Rays memories then...so be it" y/n said, pulling her hand forward to shake with {{}}. "Hm! How brave...I want to ask you a little question...you are a smart girl y/n...how about we turn this promise into a game too? I do love them, you know" {{}} smiled childishly. "A game?" Y/n tilted her head in confusion. "Well yes! How about this...I'll give your family and friends around two years from now to find you. If they don't find you...I will send you back here and you will live within the seven walls forever, becoming one with it!" "...and if they do?" Y/n asked with a nervous sweat. "Then I'll restore yours and Rays memories permanently" {{}} said. "How would that work? When they find me they'll-" "If they find you" {{}} interrupted. "If...they find me...the second I see them I'll just remember everything?" Asked y/n. "Hmm...that's for me to know and for you to potentially find out! I will leave some clues but I won't interfere and I won't to make it easy for them to find you. You'll be out of their touch for sure" {{}} giggled.
Y/n nodded once again. "So...it's a deal?" The girl asked. "Not quite yet...to complete the promise you must pick a place that is very dear to you. After your friends and family have entered their portal to the human world, go to that place and call my name, then we can forge it" {{}} explained. "Okay...I think I know the place I want to pick. Thank you, {{}}" smiled y/n. "See you soon y/n"
Present day, the human world
"Ray...what do you mean 'who is y/n?'...uh..you remember us right?! I'm Emma!! And that's Norman!! You remember us at least don't you?!" The orange haired girl began to panic, shaking Rays shoulders almost making him loose his balance. "What is wrong with you?! Of course I remember you?!" Ray pushed her arms gently off his shoulders. "This...doesn't make sense..." Norman said under his breath, thinking aloud. "Norman is this some weird sick joke you guys are all playing on me because it's not funny" said Ray bluntly. "What's wrong with him Emma?" Alicia , Yvette, Jemima and Mark asked as they all bursted into tears.
"Ray is fine you guys...maybe he just hit his head!" Emma smiled nervously, trying to calm the children down. "No I didn't?! Look, I've been here the whole time and I've no idea who you're talking about?!" Ray threw his arms in the air. "She's been your best friend since....forever!!" Dominic said. "Y/n, her name doesn't ring a bell...at all?!" Don face palmed. "You loved her alot..how can you forget something that important to you?" Jemimas eyes filed with tears. Ray stood there in deep confusion, staring at the group. "You have to have something that could jog your memories of her" Emma said with determination, looking inside his backpack. "What are you doing?!" The boy asked as the bag dropped onto the sand. "Looking for evidence" Answered Emma with her head inside the back pack. "Nothing but tinned food...water...a book...a few bandages...hmm....oh!" Emma popped her head out of Rays bag. "What is it?" The children asked. "It's...an old drawing.." Emma looked down at the crinkled piece of paper in her hands.
A child's drawing of Emma, Norman, Ray with a frown holding a book and y/n wearing a crown was scribbled on the paper. "I think I remember this..." the girl examined each corner of the art piece. "It's from years ago...when Norman was sick at Grace field...how do you have this? It was burnt at the house years ago.." Emma's eyes widened, looking up at Ray as Norman looked down at the drawing. "I have no idea?! Let me see it" Ray said as the orange haired girl handed him the sheet of paper.
"Emma, that doesn't explain why y/n is missing..." Gillian added in, holding her hand close to her heart. "Where could she have gone...we've searched the whole beach...no body has seen her...she is probably so scared and alone...where is she?" Anna sniffled at the thought.
Norman walked towards the middle of the crowd, gaining their attention. "y/n lied to us...it would only make sense...this was the reward...it was a lie that there was no promise..I can't believe we thought she was telling the truth. We let our guard down thinking everyone would be okay..." Norman said feeling heart broken, looking at Emma. "You're right Norman...of course there was a reward..she was protecting us..." Emma wiped the tears from her eyes.
"Don't ask Ray any more questions it's pointless. What we need to concentrate on is finding y/n as soon as possible. If taking away a part of Rays memories was a part of the promise then there's nothing we can do about it. Y/n obviously agreed to letting that happen for all of us to be in the human world today. A part of the promises reward could also be why she's missing. Let's work with what we have and build on that, even if that minuses Rays memories"
Suddenly out of nowhere a swarm of jet black cars arrived zooming around each corner of the beach, with there tires screeching at a stop, capturing the children all in the same spot. "What's going on.." Emma gasped, picking up her rifle, much alike Norman, Ray and the other older children.
A tall elderly man with honey blonde hair and a black suit stepped out of one of the black cars, he had a calm expression plastered on his face. He was followed by ten security guards dressed in black attire. "There's no need to panic children, you can lower your weapons" the man said, dusting off his suit jacket with a handkerchief. "Who..are you?" Oliver asked. "My name is Mike Ratri. Peter and Y/ns Uncle. I kept the Ratri clan and business under control at the Human world side of things. 'Code Soild'...I already know. I am not your enemy. Our clan will no longer harm you children..." the man explained.
"What will you do with us then..." Norman asked, keeping a stern face. "I must speak with my niece y/n. I believe she is here with you all" said Mike, looking around for the (h/c) haired girl. Emma looked at Norman and then back at the man. "She...isn't here..." Emma said with a small frown, lowering her rifle. "Hmm...I think understand the situation. But please, come with me..before things get complicated..." Mike advised, pointing to the crowds of citizens staring down at the children.
Soon after a bit more of persuasion the children and Mamas all agreed to go with Mike Ratri, bring them to a beautiful coastal mansion estate with gardens and hundreds of rooms located over looking the
Sea in the city. After the children's arrival into the fairytale like building, they all gathered around to discuss the future of the farm children in the glamorous living room filled with luxury couches, fluffy cousins, expensive carpets and teacups of piping hot tea. "Sir, we are now reporting on strange children with number identification on their necks and stomachs...who have been discovered all over the world" One of Mikes workers alerted him from a desk.
"Will those other children be okay by themselves?..they are all spread across the human world..." Emma asked, leaning into her seat in the enormous living room. "Don't worry about that. We are securing the other children as we find them" Mike sipped his tea. "Where exactly are we..?" Norman asked, looking out the window at the sparkling sea view. "This is the North American branch of the Ratri Clan. We were found in the former United States of America. The east side of the region is now called area 01. From 2020 to 2030 there was a lot of recurring instances like abnormal weather conditions, natural disasters, food shortages and much more...there was a world war for those ten years. So many lives were lost, breaking our old systems. The world had changed so fast. National boarders were abolished and the world became one nation. There are still many challenges of course, but humanity has finally started to move forward. We are in the midst of reconstruction" Mike Ratri explained.
"The world isn't at war...and the environment isn't destroyed..with the concept of the world being one that means there are no national boarders...so there's no such thing as immigrants. This situation makes it so much easier for us to be accepted into human society...we're lucky..." Norman said.
"But Mike...do you know where y/n is? Will it be easier to find her if there are no boarders?" Asked Emma, holding her teacup firmly in her hands. "Our system hasn't located her in any region yet..it's strange because she is the rightful leader of the clan as of now...All of our information about her and her files as been wiped. I believe it could have been part of the promise she formed, like a reward perhaps...she could still be in the demon world for all we know. Or she could have died" The man explained.
"No that doesn't make sense...Y/n made the promise in exactly these words, 'I want all the children to go to the human world'. {{}} can't take Y/ns life..or keep her in the demon world" Emma said. "But that's only if she actually said those words...none of us were there to tell if that's what she told {{}}" Gilda panicked. "Hey Y/n would never do that!!" Lanni shouted. "Yeah!! She would never try to take care of it by sacrificing herself!!" Thoma added. "B-but why isn't y/n here then? And why are Rays memories of her gone?" Yvette said through her tears. "She worked so hard...for her family and friends...she deserves to be here just like all of us.." Anna said.
"I wouldn't be here without y/n...she saved me at Goldy Pond...distracting that big old scary demon like that...I would have been dead if it wasn't for her!" One of the young goldy pond kids spoke up. "Yeah I would have given up if it wasn't for her" Nigel added. "Me too!!" I agree!!"
"We wouldn't haven been able to go through the portal if it wasn't for her.." Violet said. "She is so kind...and one of my dearest friends!! " Gillian smiled sadly. "Y/n...is a leader. She acts according to what she wants to do for the betterment of others. Is it important why she's not here? Is it important where she is?" Oliver asked Emma and Norman. "No..." Norman and Emma said with a small sigh. "Then we'll look for y/n!!" Don said. "If Y/n was in our shoes she wouldn't give up..she'd look for us even if we were in the demon world!" Said Emma.
"But...what if she's already dead?" One of the Mamas asked. "No way! I'm sure she's still alive!" Nat said. "Yeah! No way y/n would die that easily" Phil added with a smile.
"After playing with real demons, it's now time for hide and seek? Bring it on!! We're her family and we're gonna find her!! Even if it takes one hundred years!!" "Yeahhh!!!!" The children cheered and vowed, huddled together with smiles and faces of determination.
"Silly y/n! When I find her I'm gonna give her a big hug!" Dominic laughed. "We will find her and be a big family again and play lots of games!" Alicia giggled.
Ray watched as his family cheer and began planning their big trip to find their missing loved friend. "You have no recollection of my niece ?" Mike asked, the boy across from him. "None...it feels more like a torment than confusion...I don't completely understand but...I really want to...I want to see her" the boy answered, looking down at the crinkled drawing in his hands Emma found. The orange haired looked at Ray and smiled warmly. "Don't worry Ray. You'll remember. We won't let her be alone. We can find her for sure"
Meanwhile somewhere far away at a small snowy mountain a familiar (h/c) haired girl was fast asleep in the cold storm, slightly covered by the freezing white blanket of snow. Her eyes were tired and her body weak, she couldn't wake up or move a muscle.
Slowly in the distance footsteps began to draw closer and closer, stopping at the sleeping girl. "I was right...it is a child..." a man head to toe in a snow proof jacket, trousers, black boots and a mask said to himself aloud. "What on earth is a child doing out here all alone..."
